Flamingo's Nest is the one bed/one bath unit at the Beach Shack Too!! The Beach Shack Too consists of 3 separate units. Each unit has its own private entrance, laundry facilities, barbecue grill and outdoor dining area.

Flamingo's Nest is fully furnished with all you will need but your flip-flops. Fully updated kitchen with microwave, stove, refrigerator with ice maker. All small appliances including toaster, crock-pot, Keurig, twelve cup coffee pot and of course a blender. King size bed with eight foot closet, queen size sofa sleeper with upgraded mattress. Fully updated bathroom with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hair driers. Indoor full size washer and dryer. Dining seating for four. Outdoor patio with plenty of seating and of course your own individual gas grill

The Flamingo's Nest at the Beach Shack was a wonderful place for a long weekend on Manasota Key..

The property had everything you needed to have a relaxing break. Location was great, it was a 3 block walk to many local eateries. The beach was very nice and close to the unit. The owners also offered many toys for your beach and surf entertainment.

Lovely Beach Stay!

The Flamingos Nest was just perfect ! Beautiful little place, clean , comfortable (the King size bed was VERY comfortable) and all amenities you could possibly need. Conveniently located and short walk over to the beach . The owners were so nice and very accommodating. I will definitely be back!!

If I could give the Flamingo’s Nest 10 stars I absolutely would. Heather is an exceptional host, very laid back and welcoming to the property. Easy check in and check out process. The Flamingo’s Nest gave me a very homey feeling and came fully equipped with what you need during your stay. The cabana on site is readily available with what you need for the perfect beach day! From Kayak’s, shell rakes, and even beach chairs. You really don’t need to pack much to stay here! And yes, the beach really is a block away and loaded with shark teeth and beautiful sunsets! We love that the beach doesn’t get crowded. The Flamingo’s Nest is walking distance from Englewood’s “down town” with great restaurant options, live music in the evenings, and cute tourist shops. You won’t regret booking your next vacation here.

lovely beach retreat

Heather was an excellent communicator for the stay at her place.

My daughter and her husband stayed at Heather’s charming house. It’s very near the beach and restaurants in a quiet neighborhood. They very much enjoyed their stay. Heather connected them with a ride from and to the airport. I highly recommend The Beach house!

Great getaway

We absolutely loved our time at the beach shack. The outside shower was a hit for my 4 and 2 year old and also made it so convenient to get them cleaned off from the beach before going inside. The reviews I read before booking kept mentioning the hosts thought of everything and it’s true. It was perfect for our weekend getaway.

Perfect!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Flamingo's Nest! The unit was spotless, adorable, and in a great location! So many amenities were provided to help make our stay perfect, despite tropical storm Elsa passing through! We really enjoyed exploring the island on the bicycles. Awesome place!!

We absolutely loved Falmingos Nest and Manasota Key. The house is clean and has everything you could ever need including an outdoor shower, bikes and kayaks. Heather was super responsive and helpful. The beach is across the street and the restaurants are a short bike ride/ walk away. Loved it! Can’t wait to come back!

The perfect getaway

We had an amazing time in the Flamingo Cottage at the Beach Shack. Communication was easy. The cottage was extremely well equipped and super clean. We enjoyed exploring the nearby beaches and of course hunting for shark teeth. We could not have asked for an easier or more enjoyable time! We hope to return soon!

Cozy stay near the beach and restaurants

We loved our visit to Manasota Key! The Beach Shack is a great location! We were one of the first guests to stay after hurricane Milton. The house is now in great condition. The public beach park was closed, but there is still beach access just one block away. We loved our kayak ride in the bay! We also loved being just a 10 minute walk to all of the restaurants/bars. We went to spring training baseball games on our non beach days. We saw lovely sunsets on the gulf side and a lovely sunrise on the bay side! We will definitely stay here again when we visit the area in the future

By far one of the best stays I have ever had when traveling. Everything Heather and Rod have put into their units is meticulous and truly beneficial. There is honestly nothing more I feel they could provide. They have plenty of cleaning supplies and kitchen items to use, even spare batteries. They literally told us to bring our clothes and that is all we needed aside from food. We are already planning our next trip and will be staying with them.

Fantastic time.

I just want to say a big Thank You to Heather and Rod. It was a Beautiful place just like pictures . I traveled to have a Happy Birthday for my Mom and sister at property my Mom 87 yrs young. Thank you Heather and Rod for opening your beach house to me on Manasota key. Celebrated my Moms 87 Birthday. Heather was so kind I had stepped on something and stung my foot and she brought me a bottle of apple cider vinegar right away. This property was amazing bed comfortable and very clean and they thought of everything including snacks and drinks with a bottle of wine. Beautiful and the chimes out my door to hear was lovely. I want one like that very relaxing. Thank you again Heather and Rod

Rod and I are northern transplants from Ohio and Pennsylvania (respectively) that moved to Florida back in 1990. We have been married for going on 25 years and have two wonderful sons- Conor and Quinn who have kept us busy for the majority of these years with school activities, Club soccer and Boy Scouts. As we move into the empty nest stage of our lives in a few years we are working on our "Nest". We look forward to sharing this "Nest" with you as well.

Spending time with friends on Manasota Key led us to fall in love with the island. The quaint community of visitors gives you a sense of belonging. When you drive over the small draw bridge that takes you on to the island your eyes sneak a peak to the water to see if the dolphins are in view - you can't help but let out a breath of calmness as you have entered your relaxing destination. Many travelers come from the North during the winter months to beat the cold weather and stay for months on end- year after year. Others that live in Florida or the warmer areas come to get away from our everyday life even if just a short drive. While at the Beach Shack you will feel at home whether it is for a weekend -a week - or a month. The warm "Good Mornings" from those on the beach looking for Shark's Teeth (which are abundant if you look) or those you pass while walking/biking just makes you feel like you have found your Home Away from Home. The Beach Shack of Manasota Key will become a favorite and repeat destination for you- Promise!!
