Island House is your home away from home for pure relaxation, refreshment, and rejuvenation.
All apartments are located in 1 building only a few steps away from the beach.
This apartment is upstairs ( 5 or 6 ) with a side view to the beach from the Master bedroom.

From sun-up to well past sundown; from glowing morning skies to saturated ocean sunsets and sparkling starry nights, Island House is your special place to let all stresses fly away. Sipping morning coffee or tea on the beach deck while drinking in views of the crystal blue waters of the Gulf….strolling along miles of pristine white sands on Manasota Key….watching playful dolphins, exotic birds and endangered turtles….basking in the sun….playing in the waves…what quiet moments and pleasant memories await!

Directly on the beach facing the Gulf of Mexico, Island House is a privately owned vacation rental of six fully furnished apartments–three upstairs and three on the ground floor.

This is a non-smoking property. All units have full kitchens including stove, oven, full-sized refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker ( filter ) , dishes, cookware, and utensils! A barbecue grill is available outside for all guests to share.
Each unit has 4 beach chairs and 1 umbrella. We also provide beach towels - exchange upon request.

Perfect location

We were in for a long weekend. The accessibility to the water was key to our choice of this property, and it didn’t disappoint. The provided chairs, umbrella, and beach towels were a bonus to our air travel. The golf cart service provided by locals to restaurants and bars, was welcomed as we traveled with our elder mother. We made quick friends of the other travelers staying at the property as we had lots in common. We will be back!

Great Place & Location

This is a clean, 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment with a nice sized kitchen & a private beach. The location is great & it is easy to get on & off the island. The property manager was very responsive & helpful! We had a great stay!

Good location

Location was lovely. I don't like giving bad reviews as a business owner myself I understand how important and influential reviews can be. So I don't wish to post anything negative but rather suggest a few things. First, the furniture is wrong. Its a beach condo so i couldn't come to terms on why there were leather sofas. Additionally, they were small and uncomfortable. After a day at the beach coming back to put your feet up on a comfy couch was not an option. Also, while there were many kitchen utensils for use. I would suggest a simple one cup keurig coffe maker as traditional coffer make that needs coffee grids, filter..etc is not a good option and can be messy and bring unwanted pests. We also had to purchase a baking pan as we did not have one.. no big deal of course but this is a suggestion. There was a bin out back by the beach which i was advised contained all sorts of beach toys however, they were just thrown around and scattered which did not make it appealing to use. The property and location is perfect with restaurants, beach and park close by. I think a few tweaks here and there and the host stopping by the property once or twice a week would make a difference. I honestly wouldn't of mind a knock on the door or a call asking me if everything was ok. That being said, I would return to this property.

Island House

Great beach location, interior unit but spent entire time outside on the beach. Missed having a laundry but loved having the umbrella, chairs and beach towels available. Kitchen was well stocked for our needs. We loved the 15 minute walk to Sand Bar for live music and cocktails, many others beach bars walkable as well. Had some fun finding shark teeth, not big ones but still fun. The sunsets were the absolute best! Great unit for beach lovers.

Exactly as pictured with some nice surprises

The rooms were spotless and the location was better than expected. We were right on the beach and there were plenty of chairs, towels, and even a large beach umbrella. It's close to all kinds of bars & restaurants with great seafood and live music. Everything we needed and then some. Would definately stay again!

Relaxing vacation

The apartment was clean and quiet, the essentials were provided. The private beach is only steps away. We walked the beach every morning. We found so many shells and shark teeth and at the end of the day watched the sun set. Towels, chairs and an umbrella was provided which was so convenient. The town is not far with a couple of restaurants to choose from. We would definitely stay here again.

Our rental was perfect for us! It was clean and comfortable. Location was awesome … just a few steps to the gulf and close to restaurants. The lounge chairs provided were nice and much appreciated!

Property was as described. Just the kind of area we like. Quiet, away from all the tourist type things. Beautiful beach and area. Our flight was canceled. After making other arrangements I let the contact know it was going to be after midnight when we arrived. They offered to go turn on lights for us. 🙂

Perfect for our family

We had all of our children joining us at our condo on Manasota Key and needed a place for the overflow. Island House was super close and just right. Everything was as advertised and we enjoyed a great time together. Great location on the island!

Great place, no hot tub (inaccurate description), and partial lapse of communication

I hate to give this a three-star rating because much of the stay was better than that (see my rating specifics), but I was looking for a place to stay that had a hot tub and this place did not, even though hot tub was the first item listed on both the “Amenities” and “Popular Amenities” lists in the location’s description. I reached out to the owner, and the owner told me that a hot tub wasn’t advertised for this property. I sent screen shots of the listing claiming to have a hot tub and had no further response from the owner. That, I think, was the worst part of the whole issue. Maybe an apology/acknowledgement would have been appropriate for the situation. I’m a pretty understanding person, and I can see how a listing could have an error. I would like to add, in all fairness, that in all other communication the owner was very attentive and quick to respond. Maybe the listing has been corrected by now—I do hope that is the case. If not, be aware that this location does not have a hot tub (as of January 2024). The house was well furnished, the kitchen well equipped. There were plenty of towels, washcloths, etc. We never did find the umbrellas advertised. The bathroom hot water was never hot—warm-ish at best. Kitchen water very hot. I would like to note that the beach is very quiet and not very busy—this is exactly what my daughter and I were seeking. If you’re looking for peace and serenity, I would recommend this place.

Great Short Trip

We stayed here for one night at the beach. Easy check in. Host communicated well. Place was clean. Best part was it was right on the beach. We would love to come back for a longer stay.
