Spotlessly clean and comfortable villa with fabulous views

We have just had a fabulous two week holiday in Kalami. The villa is perfectly placed, on a peaceful hillside, with wonderful views out to sea, a great swimming pool and all just 5 minutes stroll from the bars and tavernas of Kalami. On arrival we enjoyed our welcome pack of regional goodies and essential items. Jehanne and Angelica were so helpful and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Wundervoller Aufenthalt mit fantastischem Blick !

Das positive Erlebnis began bereits mit der Buchung und den Vorbereitungen der Reise. Unsere Vermieterin Jehanne war stets auskunftswillig, hilfsbereit und antwortete in sehr kurzer Zeit. Bei unserer (späten) Ankunft gab es ein "Willkommenspaket" , so dass man am ersten Morgen nicht gleich in den Supermarkt fahren musste. Die Unterkunft (Haus 4 ; zweitnächstes zum Pool) war neu renoviert und in einem hervorragenden Zustand. Die Räume sind individuell klimatisierbar (wichtig im Juli/August) und modern eingreichtet. Da die Häuser (fünf Reihenhäuser) versetzt gebaut sind, hat man eine ausreichende Privatsphäre. Der Gemeinschaftspool ist ausreichend gross. Den Strand kann man zwar zu Fuss erlaufen, ist aber am Nachmittag bei brütender Hitze und bergauf nicht für einen Fussmarsch zu empfehlen. Am Strand in Kalami gab es ausreichend Schirme+Liegen und Tavernen. Das einizge Manko (wie fast überall) ist das Parkplatzproblem (ausser man ist früh bis 10/11 Uhr da). Unabhängig davon, benötigt man einen Mietwagen (dringend mit Reifenversicherung), um ein zu kaufen und/oder Tavernen für den Abend zu besuchen (man kann naürlich auch im Haus kochen). Für den Abend empfehle ich die "Vitamins" Taverne in Nissaki (ca. 10 min mit dem Auto) mit toller Sicht und hervoragenden Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis (http://vitaminstaverna.com/). In Kalami kann man auch gut in Thoma's Palace direkt am Meer speisen. In Summe eine tolle Location mit stets netten und freundlichen griechischen Gastgebern ! Viele Grüsse von Gabi+Maik !

Comfortable villa with great views, in a charming Corfu location

This villa is in a great location, overlooking the lovely Kalami bay. We drove around north Corfu a bit during our stay and we really couldn't find anywhere as charming as this area. The villa is part of a larger complex (5-6 villas in total?). The complex has a very large pool and a large patio area, with fabulous views out to sea (we saw dolphins crossing the bay one night, fabulous). The complex is within easy walking distance of Kalami beach, local shops and restaurants (10 minutes walk max). The beach is great. Its not sandy, but its still easy to get into the sea, and the water is crystal clear so great for snorkelling. It also seemed to be more sheltered than other beaches on the island, and was stayed calm even when some other beaches on the island were a bit rough. There are other lovely swimming bays and great restaurants nearby (north and south) if you don't mind a short walk. The complex gets sun into relatively late into the evening, even though it's on the east side of the island. The host is very helpful... Jehanne responded immediately to all our questions/issues. The villa has 2 large balconies, overlooking the swimming pool and Kalami bay. Good showers. The bed mattresses were a bit too soft for my liking but still ok. The wi-fi was unreliable at times, but this seemed to be down to general internet issue on the island, rather than specific problems with the villa setup. Finally, suggest that the villa instructions are clearer on where to put the rubbish - needs to go in one of the public bins on the main road above the complex.

Dear James, Thank you so much for your very complete comment about your stay. This is extremely useful to me and helps me to understand what you like and what can be done to improve the infrastructure and the service we offer. For what concerns the beds, in fact we have a thick upper mattress in memory foam which gives a very soft feeling. People with back problems find it wonderful...obviously this is not your case and you are very lucky! For the wifi we normally have no problems but of course we depend on the local telephone company which is sometime overloaded. For the rubbish bins, I apologise, they had been displaced by our mayor lately so the instructions were not matching... I do appreciate very much that you took the time to express all these issues! Well equipped villa in stunning location : June 23 - July 2

We have voted this villa our favourite place to stay in NE Corfu! So well maintained it had everything we needed for our one week's stay & was the perfect size for our family of 4 (2 student daughters) - the 2 king size ensuite bedrooms/bathrooms worked really well. The air con was very welcome when the temperatures hit the upper 30's & the shared pool is a great alternative to the fabulous local beaches. We walked to our favourite restaurant in Kaloura but used a rental car for all other trips, including Kalami beach & tavernas. Jehanne left a well stocked welcome basket & was very helpful on the end of a phone for any problems. The views from the first floor balcony where we had breakfast every day were stunning. We know & love this part of Corfu and were very happy with our fourth family holiday in this area. I'm sure we will back for a fifth visit!

Wonderful holiday in Kalami!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it! We were travelling with our two young daughters (both under 2) and the apartment suited us perfectly. We stayed in one of the recently refurbished apartments and it had two large double rooms both with brand new ensuite bathrooms. The kitchen was well equipped which was great for us as we were able to cook meals at home. We had a large balcony where we had breakfast every morning with stunning views over the bay of Kalami. Jehanne, the owner, was so lovely band a fantastic host. When we arrived there was a welcome hamper with lots of surprises which was great as we had had a long travel day from Paxos so it was great to arrive to a prestocked fridge! Jehanne was very responsive and helpful throughout the whole booking process and responded very quickly to any questions we had. The pool is beautiful too with great views over the bay. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay!

Wonderful!

My husband and I spent a week at this beautiful villa from 26th September 2016. Jehanne greeted us and we were impressed with the welcome pack which we did not expect and the little details. The villa has been renovated to a high specification and very tastefully done... beds very comfortable and plenty of towels. The position is just 5 minutes down a path to Kalami and the views from the balcony were just breathtaking! I am an artist and next time I will surely bring my watercolours! We have been coming to Kalami for around ten years and it calls us back. In fact Kalami its people are truly beautiful.... cannot wait to return. Thankyou Jehanne Sandra and Bill

Charming Kalami house

We enjoyed staying in this recently refurbished two storey house set in a beautiful position overlooking Kalami bay. Clean and well-serviced. Lovely pool and garden. Easy access to and from Kalami from the road, but the private path to the beach and village needs great care as it is steep with many steps. At night a torch is needed. Very comfortable bedrooms. Plenty of towels supplied. Kitchen well-equipped. Large balcony with comfortable chairs and large table...what a view! Lovely evenings spent looking across the bay...with a glass of Ouzo, before wending our way down to the tavernas on Kalami beach. Hired a boat for the day and enjoyed seeing the many coves of this outstandingly pretty coastline. A visit to Agios Stefanos is a must. Just round the headland is Agni bay. Taverna Agni is well worth a visit, just make your reservation and they pick you up by boat from the beach jetty in Kalami. Overall a most enjoyable holiday in a spectacular setting.

Perfect holiday

What a fantastic holiday: Beautiful villa, beautiful location all making for a very relaxing holiday. The villa was very clean, well laid out and very comfortable. The king size bed and large space downstairs was great for our teenage girls. The pool is a good size, extremely clean and you can always get a sun bed. The views from the villa are stunning. The villa is ideally located for walking to Kalami village and the bus stop to other parts of Corfu. We took the evening boat to Corfu which our girls loved for the lively atmosphere and shopping. We also hired a small boat to explore the small bays around Kalami which was great fun, stopping to swim from the boat! Communication from Jehanne is excellent and it is very clear she wants you to have a wonderful experience. This has been one of our best holidays and we would recommend your villa as it was just perfect.

Wonderful Property

This was our first time staying in this property and we couldn't fault it. The service we received from the very first communication was professional and friendly. When we arrived at the property it exceeded our expectations. The view from the first floor is amazing, the finish is contemporary and clean and the beds are the most comfortable we have had on any villa holiday over the years. There was a lovely welcome pack waiting for us and good utensils for self catering as well. The windows even have fly screens so you can have fresh air running through when it is cool enough! We have two small children and the shutters were brilliant as they shut out all the light and we didn't have to get up at 6 every day so a real holiday! The pool area has plenty of sun beds and an amazing view of the bay and the kids loved it as they could stand in the shallow end (they are 6). The village is walking distance down a hill but we had a car and with the children tended to drive into the village or local villages. There are some lovely restaurants in neighbouring bays and a fun way to get to some of them is by boat - water taxi. Another fun thing to do is rent a small boat for a day or two to visit local villages and bays...it's a popular thing in this area. We would definitely recommend this property and will hopefully revisit one day soon Jehanne. Thank you.

Beautiful setting with wonderful views

This was our 3rd holiday in Kalami although our first in a shared villa complex having previously holidayed with friends in larger villas. The two bed roomed villa we stayed in this time with a shared pool was perfect for my husband and I, and our 16 year old daughter. It offered total comfort and tranquility and offered some of the best views of Kalami bay we have experienced. There were 4 other villas in the same complex but it still felt very quiet and private. Our fellow guests were all very friendly however. The huge pool was fantastic for lazy days or for a refreshing dip after a day out. Being able to walk down to the beach, tavernas and shops in 5 minutes was a fantastic plus. We particularly enjoyed sitting out on our balcony watching the boats drift in and out of the bay! Our villa had been very newly refurbished and was tastefully and thoughtfully decorated with king size beds In both rooms. Each room had its own en suit bathroom with fantastic walk in showers. There was nothing that the owner, Jehanne hadn't thought of. It was lovely to arrive to a big welcome basket too, We had a fantastic holiday and can't recommend Jehanne's property highly enough. We can't wait to go back!

Stunning little villa in beautiful setting

My husband and 2 children returned to Kalami after marrying there 15 years prior. We were not disappointed the bay itself had not changed , still lovely with a good choice of taverna , beautiful sea and charming people. The villa itself has just been renovated to a very high standard. Perfect for a family of 4. Our downstairs room had the biggest most comfortable bed and both bedrooms are ensuite. We had a very well equipped kitchen including a nespresso maker , on arrival Jehanne had left us an amazing welcome pack including , local specialties , milk and wine ! The pool was warm clean and ample sunbeds and umbrellas. The view from the balcony is outstanding! We couldn't have wanted for anything , we will defiantly be returning !

Wonderful villa in beautiful setting

On returning to Kalami after a 15 year break we were not disappointed. The bay itself is still unspoilt and quite beautiful. Our little villa which quite comfortably slept 4 had very recently been refurbished to a very high standard. We couldn't have wanted for anything. We had an amazing welcome pack on arrival
