Very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay in Koutsounada; it really is somewhere you can just relax, in your own space, with no need to stray beyond the beach unless you really want to. Like you, we seldom bother with a hire car these days, as we found we were making so little use of them. Taking a boat or a taxi to neighbouring bays is usually quite enough exploration for us! Swimming in the sea and snorkelling is such a joy isn't it?

Erimitis is indeed a wonderful natural habitat of immense natural beauty with untouched lakes, hidden pebble beaches and ancient trees - we are so lucky to have it on our doorstep! There are local preservation efforts to protect the unique flora and fauna. Long may it remain a safe haven for the wildlife, and for the public to enjoy.

We are very lucky having Cavo Barbaro on our doorstep - like you, we always seem to end up eating there, despite our very best intentions to eat in!
