Cocoonr agency, offers you to rent, a magnificent 86-square-meter, 3-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment, located in the heart of the 6ᵉ arrondissement. A fully renovated apartment, located on the second floor of an old building, it has been fitted out by an architect, the ideal cocoon to recharge your batteries and come and discover the Capital des Gaules.

The apartment is composed as follows:

- An entrance that leads directly to an open, fully-equipped kitchen: Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, hob, fridge, freezer...
- A large, bright living room with dining area and sitting area, sofa, TV, Wi-Fi...
- You and your family can enjoy the tastefully decorated master suite, with a 160cm bed, fitted closets and a private bathroom.
- A double bedroom with a 160cm bed and closet overlooking the courtyard.
- A small children's bedroom with a trundle bed and a study area.
- A second bathroom with a walk-in shower and a large washbasin.
- A separate toilet is located at the entrance to the apartment.

The district:
The 6ᵉ arrondissement is reputed to be Lyon's chicest and most residential district. Numerous shops selling clothes, beauty, decoration, restaurants, bars, on the Cours Vitton, for epicureans the temple of gastronomy, the Halles Paul Bocuse just a few meters away. Just a stone's throw from the Parc de la tête d'or, located on the banks of the Rhône, the Parc de la Tête d'Or covers an area of 105 hectares. Accessible via 7 entrances, the most remarkable of which is the Porte des Enfants du Rhône, which opens onto the prospect of a 16-hectare lake, today it remains one of France's largest and most beautiful urban parks.

If you're coming by car, you'll benefit from a secure outdoor parking space just a few meters from the apartment.

We were very happy with the property. The place is beautiful. One thing I wanted to mention is that, as is very common in Europe, there is no air conditioning. The weather was very hot in Lyon while we were there (close to 35 C) but the apartment stayed very comfortable with the fans provided. So don't let the lack of air conditioning deter you from renting this beautiful apartment.

Unable to sleep because it was 30 c in the apartment

Absolute nightmare. We left after one night because it was so hot and gross in the apartment. The mattresses are cheap, linens are sandpaper and you will not sleep if it's hot. They were lightning-fast to snatch payment for a 4-night stay but lack basic human decency when it comes to refunding me for leaving early. Inflexible and distasteful business owners. Don't stay here.

June 2025 trip

The location of this condo is convenient and in a good neighborhood. Good restaurants close by and only a short walk to metro. The unit is nicely remodeled and has nice showers. But there is NO air conditioning in this unit. I don't recommend staying there during the summer heat wave months. The temperature was 89-92 F degrees during our stay. Also, they ask that you wash and put them away before leaving. We had stacked the dishwasher thinking we can just run it before we leave, and the housekeeping will put the clean dishes away. Then noticed that we have to put away the dishes. So we had to hand wash the dishes and spent good 15-20 minutes cleaning and putting dishes away! Also, we had booked a 3 night stay for three people, management had provided us with 1-1/2 roll of toilet paper for our stay! Little thing that cause inconveniences.

ELLA "L’appartement est situé dans un excellent quartier à proximité immédiate du parc et de tous les transports. Malheureusement dans l’ensemble de l’appartement il y a une odeur asphyxiante de putréfaction qui ne disparaît pas même en laissant les fenêtres ouvertes. L’état d’hygiène laisse globalement à désirer: nous avons dû refaire l’ensemble de la vaisselle car il restait des traces de nourriture et nous avons trouvé des pièges à rats cachés sous les lits dans chaque pièces (l’hôte ne nous en avait pas informé… faites attention si vous voyagez avec des enfants en bas âge !). Nous sommes restés bloqués dehors une nuit entière car la serrure de la porte d’entrée était bloqué (nous avions les clés avec nous) et l’hôte nous a répondu que le lendemain et nous a demandé de rembourser le remplacement de la serrure. L’hôte ne répond jamais par la messagerie airbnb, nous avons signalé les problèmes d’hygiène et nuisances, dont ils étaient bien au courant, mais aucun support de leur part."

Pretty pictures but disappointing reality

We would not rent this apartment again. Although it is beautifully designed, everything is falling apart from a lot of use. The kitchen units are striking but most of the drawer fronts don't spring open to the touch as intended and some of them just fall off. And whoever decided that white laminate countertops in a rental was a good idea should give up their creative control. Luckily, there were lots of cleaning supplies so we were able to leave the kitchen unmarked. The kitchen was not well-equipped- no table knives (just steak knives), one bread knife but no knives for proper food preparation, and a wierd and useless variety of cooking utensils. The shower rooms are well done and new but could also do with a bit of maintenance to address various loose handles and cabinet drawers. And having a hair drier is nice, but having one with an UK plug in France wasn't so great. The beds and bedding were comfortable so that was really nice. The single WC was not ideal however but we knew there was only one in advance. What we did not know was that the unit had the sqeakiest floors in recorded history. We spent the first two days tip-toeing around to not disturb the downstairs neighbors until we realized that the store downstairs couldn't hear us anyway. The floors are so noisy that if you had to use the WC in the middle of the night everyone one was awakened. I have rented apartments in Europe for decades and have never experienced anything even close to these floors. Yikes. The neighborhood is interesting with a mix of cultures and classes of people. We quite enjoyed that. The park is also close by and should be enjoyed daily if possible. Transport links are good. I think that the agency that manages this apartment is likely fine and I would probably use them again. The rental process was seamless and communication good. It would be useful however to have a proper folder of information regarding how to use the appliances, how to take out the trash with recycling guidelines, and other relevant information. Just pointing to manuals stuffed in a drawer is not good enough. And having to refer back to my email for needed information is just not good enough either.

Local living in a wonderful space

The apartment was just as pictured, the beds very comfortable and the bath rooms modern and immaculate. The surprise was having two bath rooms but only one toilet in the hall near the front door. Didn’t see that coming but since we were staying with our adult children it worked out. Neighborhood lively and lots of bread, pastry, and wine shops around. Near the Halles for fantastic everything good to eat in France. Close to just about everything, old Lyon, park tete d or. Bring your walking shoes.No AC so wouldn’t stay in the summer but we were there in October and it was very pleasant. Plenty of kitchen stuff, plates, cups etc. incredibly well equipped for a rental. The hallway and elevator are kind of spooky, the floors creak and it can get noisy on the weekend. Those are the only cons along with the single toilet but with that being said We would stay there again!

Situation fantastique et quel cachet!

Très bel appartement rénové tout en respectant son cachet! Excellent emplacement, propre et confortable pour 4 adultes (2 couples) L’environnement est bruyant surtout les week-ends mais c’est normal compte tenu des chouettes petits restos des environs! Le parc de la Tête d’or à proximité est une merveilleuse oasis! A souligner, pour ceux que ça concerne, s’il fait très chaud il n’y a que des ventilateurs et pas de climatisation.
