Diese im zweiten Stock gelegene Ferienwohnung in Kiawah Island, 2269 Shipwatch Villa, wurde komplett renoviert und ist ein entspannender Rückzugsort. Der Hauptwohnbereich ist ein komfortabler offener Raum mit gemütlichen Sitzgelegenheiten und einem großen Fenster, durch das Sie die Aussicht und die Meeresbrise genießen können. Es gibt ein Schlafsofa im Wohnzimmer. Die Villa erhielt neue Kronenleisten und Verkleidungen und wurde im Winter 2016 frisch gestrichen.

In der voll ausgestatteten Küche mit allen neuen Geräten aus schwarzem und rostfreiem Stahl, Granit-Arbeitsplatten und Fliesen können Sie alles, was Sie zum Zubereiten einer Gourmet-Mahlzeit benötigen, erhalten. Genießen Sie den Meerblick und bereiten Sie Mahlzeiten für Ihre Familie oder Freunde zu. In der Küche gibt es einen reichhaltigen Keramikboden für eine einfache Reinigung. Ihre Mahlzeiten können Sie auf dem Balkon am Strand genießen oder sich am Esstisch mit vier Personen niederlassen.

Das Kingsize-Schlafzimmer ist wunderschön eingerichtet und verfügt über einen schönen Stuhl zum Lesen, einen TV / VCR / DVD und Glasschiebetüren, die zu einem privaten Balkon am Meer führen. Das Badezimmer verfügt über eine geräumige Fliesen- / Glasdusche, neue Möbel, Porzellan-Armaturen und neue Designer-Armaturen.

Die Villa ist mit WLAN ausgestattet. Gemeinschaftswaschmaschinen und -trockner sowie ein Aufzug sind im Gebäude vorhanden.

Great Spot

Very good location, close to beach and golf. Kitchen is well stocked and clean Condo is somewhat dated and needs some TLC, brackets falling off, water marks on ceilings and the mattress topper is way too soft. You sink into it and it is difficult to turn. Management offered to fix the brackets but why didn’t they take care if it to begin with.

Beautiful and will be coming back!

Beautiful condo/beach stay! Will be coming back. All the gardens on island are immaculate. Spanish moss trees over hang the road as we drove onto island made it look like a Nicolas Sparks book. Condo was perfect size for just the 2 of us.

Long weekend getaway

Property is nicely located to the beach via short boardwalk. Quiet and cozy condo, perfect for two. Everything seemed as the add stated including a very well equipped kitchen. My only critical comment is just personal preference, I like a firm mattress, this one is soft. All in all I would stay there again for sure.

The kitchen is old and not kept well. The unit had a horrible odor, The bed had 2 valleys as deep as the Atlantic. There were 2 usable pillows and we requested 2 more from Akers. Ellis. These arrived the day before our last night in the unit. Overall, the unit was not good. The ocean view, beach and building exterior were all very good. Would not ever return to this unit but would consider another in the building.

We are sorry to hear of your continued disappointment. Looking through our notes and records, our team did everything they could to address your complaints. Unfortunately, we cannot always accommodate personal preferences when it comes to bedding and decor, though we did their best including going to purchase new items to make you more comfortable. We also provided a partial refund which we felt adequate given the circumstances, but did not agree that your requested refund of over 3/4 of your total stay cost was appropriate. We are again truly sorry that you were overall not pleased with the villa, but hope that you enjoyed your time on the island regardless.

We would have liked to have had access to a pool, we had a few bugs in our unit and the mattress was not very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the oceanfront view and the closeness to the beach. Hi Maureen, Thank you for your feedback. We can ensure you that the villa is professionally treated for pest regularly but sometimes with the rain, they still find a way in. We can send someone over to spray so the next guests don't see any bugs. We can also notify the owners of the mattress. Please let us know when you are ready to return to the island and we can show you the villas we have available with pool access. We would love to host your stay again! Update- We are happy to report that as of October 2018, there is a brand new mattress is the villa!

September 23 - September 30 2024 visit suggestions

Everything was great and we had a wonderful time. Small suggestions would be that it would have been convenient to have a couple of starter coffee maker filters and/or coffee packets for arrival, a bar of soap in the bathroom for first day. Beach chairs would be a nice standard amenity. Someone left a couple of broken ones behind which was ok. Laundry room was directly across from unit which was very convenient. Thought facility did a great job cleaning up grounds immediately after Helene..!!

Very nice vacation!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was very nice, except for the sofa, which was very uncomfortable, sagging on one end. Other than that, the property as a whole was nice. It's a little challenging to find restaurants. We would recommend Rosebank Farms Cafe at the marina. All of the restaurants we visited were good, Rosebank being excellent, there just isn't much of a selection of places to eat. The island is very beautiful, the beach is beautiful. We recommend renting a bike to see the whole island!

Disappointing

Furniture (especially bed) extremely uncomfortable. Drapes badly ripped and difficult to slide. Several things broken (no hook on bathroom door, hall ceiling light broken). Poor lighting, especially bathroom. Smells old. Sticky spots on floor. Several electrical outlets too loose to use. Refrigerator must have fallen off truck. Beautiful view of landscaping and ocean.

The air conditioning was very noisy/loud...woke us up at night. The refrigerator although stainless steel opened away from the surfaces toward the storage closet(broom and trash can kept there) area rather than toward the sink. The sofa although attractive was not very firm in fact seating appeared to be sinking/very soft.This may be because it has been used for sleeping.

I should have read the reviews

As the title said I should have read the reviews. We have been visiting this resort for nearly fifteen years, initially with children and more recently as a couple. We are familiar with the location and chose West Beach for its quiet and proximity to the nature preserve. The location is wonderful and the view from the balcony lovely. The condo itself leaves much to be desired and is in need of some upgrades so that it is on a par with that offered elsewhere throughout the resort. The sagging mattress supported by dorm bed risers was a particular disappointment . Overall dingy, drab and a bit dirty. We will return to the resort but not to this condo.
