881 had the most beautiful views! We loved bbqing on the balcony, watching sunsets and sleeping in the comfy beds. Our boys were initially disappointed they didnt have their own room yet woke up in the morning loving how comfy the pull out was and how beautiful the sunrise was out the top deck. It was perfect. The golf cart was very convenient making it easy to get in and out of Avalon.

Gorgeous location

This place was perfect for our two day getaway. It was roomy, clean and all the amenities were perfect. The pool is heated which was a plus for us on a gloomy day! 10/10 recommended.

Apt needs some TLC. Dining room table needs repair (two halves don’t close properly in middle),living room lamp needed lightbulb, recommend another lamp in living room for more atmosphere, recommend another side table by chair in corner by window, some ceiling lights not working, no toaster, towels ugly and old, shower head upstairs bathroom needs repair, toilet downstairs needed tank valve repair (repaired while we were there), golf cart taken from designated parking space while we were at pool, in other words stolen in the morning but found 5-6 hours later by property manager in another area of the complex. This golf cart is not secured and has been taken by people in the complex without permission before. This should be disclosed by CIVR to anyone renting this unit. Property manager Lalo was awesome! CUVR office staff needs training in customer relations. Their attitude ruined our holiday. Beware when renting this unit.

Unit not great- Location wonderful

I've stayed at Hamilton Cove a few times now, and the location is wonderful. However, this particular unit is very lacking. The upholstery and area rug in the main room is actually gross. There are stains everywhere. I did not want to sit on the couch or walk with bare feet. The outdoor furniture badly needs to be replaced and the bedding is cheap. And overall-- the unit is just very dated. Needs a remodel big time and replacement furniture. Hamilton Cove itself is wonderful, so the location can't be beat. Next time-- I will just choose to stay in a different condo.

Nice and breathtaking views, but had some issues.

Place had amazing views, decorated very nicely, plenty of clean towels in bathrooms,kichen had enough dishes, pans, and appliances. However, we couldn’t get WiFi to work, leaking faucet was more than a drip in main floor bathroom, ants in kitchen & BED, the golf cart was not parked in unit spot so it took us 10 mins to find ours, golf cart only had half a tank of gas ( we were told to leave it full) we didn’t since it wasn’t full in the first place. We left it at the same gas level we started with. Hamilton Cove Complex is very nice, quite, great amenities, and well kept. Our unit didn’t have beach towels and the iron had tons of calcium build up, owner should replace it. We didn’t use the washer & dryer but they looked clean and regular size (not small apt size). Overall we had a great weekend and enjoy our first trip to Catalina.

Beautiful and Relaxing

We spent 5 nights on Catalina and feel like we won the lottery with this place. There seem to be few better locations in Hamilton Cove and we loved sitting out on the balcony listening to the waves every morning and evening. The place was clean, nicely decorated, and the bed was comfortable. The golf cart worked well and made getting around very easy (and fun), and the community pool was lovely. One note when considering this location is that the sleeping arrangements for 4 might not be ideal, depending on your situation. The couch was on the upper level and the bedroom on a level below, and if you have small children who will be going to bed before you, it could be a challenge. Our children (5) slept in the master closet on the floor so they were on the same level as us and could go to bed earlier while we stayed up. It worked perfectly for us, but might not be everybody's best solution.

Just what I was looking for

My husband and I have stayed on Catalina Island many times but never in Hamiliton Cove. It felt like we were in a completely different location. The views from our balconies were amazing and the water was right there. It was so quiet and peaceful. It was nice to take the golf cart during the day and shop, eat, sightsee and then come home for a relaxing night. This unit was by far the best location. We did not have power or water for one day but the rental agency worked to compensate us. We will definitely be back.

We ran out of tissue in the bathrooms, no propane in the grill tank, the shower would not turn completely off, and the whole place was generally run down. But we didn’t spend much time at the condo, so it was manageable. But we’ll try a different place next visit.

One of a kind vacation

I’m very picky when it comes to staying and sleeping outside; always worried about cleanliness and if the place is really what it’s advertised as. No exaggeration, I spent three days looking for a hotel or vacation rental in Catalina island, Hamilton Cove caught my attention. When I arrived with my family, we were overwhelmed by the beauty of the place. When we checked in to unit 8-81 and got to know the place, we discovered that we have one of the best units in the cove for its location and view. On top of all that, the unit surpassed the description advertised and did have everything you need to enjoy your stay; it’s like home away from home. I very highly recommend it, you won’t be sorry!

Amazing Views, Pampered Living!

This property was better than I hoped for! I've stayed in Hamilton Cove in the past, and this time did not disappoint me. Great golf cart, amazing location! My only complaint is the communication with the property manager. NONE of my messages sent thru VRBO were ever responded to. They are good on the phone (limited hours) and eventually, when they provided a text number, they did answer a few of my texts-- although some of them never got a response. So, go and enjoy! And if you need assistance, call during working hours. :)

Beautiful View

This was a great choice for our family. Nice location next to the beach and sand volleyball courts. Very clean. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed eating out on the private balcony and looking at the view. We would stay here again.

The only negative feedback would be the stairs. We are in our 60's and trying to get our luggage up the stairs was difficult. The Villa was perfect and the view priceless!
