The property itself was lovely—modern, clean, and well-maintained. Unfortunately, several issues affected our stay.Before arriving, we contacted the host simply to confirm our reservation since the listing had no reviews. Instead of providing reassurance, the response was unexpectedly rude and left us feeling uncomfortable before our trip even began.When we arrived, we were told we could not park in the garage because it "belonged to the owner," even though it remained empty during our stay, so we had to park on the street.The biggest disappointment was the construction directly behind the property. While trying to relax by the pool, we were met with constant loud demolition, heavy equipment, and dump trucks. The construction also blocked what would otherwise have been beautiful ocean views. We wish this ongoing work had been disclosed in the listing.We also chose this property because of its advertised walking distance to the beach. However, the only nearby beach access staircase was closed due to damage to the staircase in last years winter storms, so we had to drive elsewhere. While this may not have been the owner's fault, it would have been helpful to mention.Finally, there were security cameras inside the home, which we found unexpected and uncomfortable.The home itself was beautiful, but these issues significantly impacted what could have been an excellent stay.
