Perfect holiday, perfect wedding!

Because of our wedding, we have a week on this property vacation. Thanks to the Ruanthi family, the stay and the wedding became unforgettable. Ms. Ruanthi was there at all times and helped us with any questions. The villa was even more beautiful than shown in the pictures. Thanks again for the great time.

Overall, the villa was gorgeous. We had a wonderful time being there, enjoying sunsets at the patio, and spending some days at the pool. The pictures do not do it justice; it is truly a beautiful, magical place in Tuscany. Incredible views, easy to get to, and a great home base to go to Florence, etc. The kitchen had everything you might need, except for small minor things like only three dish towels and one roll of paper towels for the week.That being said, there were a few issues that made the stay a little cumbersome. The housekeeper stayed on site a few days, even though we were told at check-in that no one stayed on site. The housekeeper was there a lot; it almost felt like she was there all the time. She was nice for sure, but it was strange seeing her so much. We did not get a change of towels at all during the week, even though we have it in writing in one of the documents they sent that they would. When I asked about the towels, they said it would be an extra charge to wash them, which was annoying given how much we paid for the place. They also wouldn’t provide a top sheet for one of our family members, as they said it would be an extra charge. No extra body wash provided either. Communication was strange because you have to talk with multiple people at different points: Petra the owner, Cloe at check-in (she’s wonderful), and Marinella (property manager). Marinella was a bit chaotic, which made communication challenging, which is why I gave that part 2 stars.

Amazing Villa

An amazing property that exceeded all my expectations. Rooms were spacious and very clean . Property was gorgeous and caretaker was very attentive to all our needs. Look forward to staying there again.

Tuscany vacation

Wonderful family vacation in Tuscany! My husband and I traveled with our two daughters, their husbands, and our 4 grandchildren ages 7 months to 5 years. The property was spacious and allowed all family groups to have their own section of the house. The separate cottage was great and one family of 4 stayed there. The pool is beautiful! The grandchildren and adults all had a fun time swimming every day. The weather was quite warm so there was no need to heat the pool. We originally scheduled our trip for September 2020, but had to reschedule. Petra was very accommodating and allowed us to move the reservation to June 2022. The caretaker, Ruanthi, greeted us upon arrival. She was so gracious and showed us around the property. We didn’t have a car so she offered to take us to the grocery store in the nearby town. Ruanthi was available to us and provided supplies and assistance throughout our stay. I would definitely come back to Villa Ripanera. We look forward to returning in the future!

Stay of a lifetime!

The Villa looked amazing online but NOTHING compares to the beauty, luxury, and absolute dreaminess of this place! Our house manager, Ms. Ruanthi was available anytime to answer questions, keep our villa cleaned, and make reservations or recommendations for us as needed. The accommodations were over-the-top in comfort and design, there was ample space for 13 of us and I just can't say enough about how PERFECT Villa Ripanera is for a travel destination.

AMAZING! Better than the pictures

Our friends and I had a magical stay at this villa. Tucked in the hills of Tuscany with the most STUNNING view, we felt like we were living in a painting the entire time we were there. The rooms were excellent and we had tons of privacy. This is a villa where you can really social distance!! We even had a chef come on night and cook us the MOST delicious meal while gazing across the evening sky. Ruianti, the caretaker who lives next to the villa, was also totally amazing! I would highly recommend this to anyone and everyone looking for an amazing post-pandemic getaway. I will definitely be going back!!

Absolutely perfect!

Everything about our stay was amazing. The villa is gorgeous and the estate is straight out of a movie - stunning! We were greeted by Ruanthi who was wonderful and took us on a tour of the villa. We were here celebrating my 50th birthday and Ruanthi arranged for a birthday cake to be delivered one night as a surprise. The villa, people, the whole experience is first class with a warm feeling. Communication at every step was stellar. I can't say enough great things about staying here. We will definitely be back! Simply amazing!

Fabulous

We were a group of 13 adults - a mix of couples and singles and the property worked great for us. The property was very accurately described in the listing. There were so many great spaces, both inside and out, that it was hard to pick where to hang out. Pool was wonderful too. One thing we liked best - and unlike some other large rental properties - was that the bedrooms were all good. It was very easy for us to divvy up the bedrooms and nobody was disappointed. Communication with the owner was excellent. On-site hostess Ruanthi was extremely responsive and pleasant. The area was very scenic and nicely located. Nice Coop grocery store only 10 mins away. Very convenient to Florence, Chianti wineries and more. The day we had to leave was very sad - we didn't want to leave.

The Villa Ripanera is amazing and the views are out of this world.

11 of us stayed at the Villa to celebrate several friends’ birthdays and it was the trip of a lifetime. Ruanthi lives in an apartment connected to the main house and was very helpful and hospitable. She and her husband take care of the gardens and Villa each day and you can tell that they really care for and love the property. We rented a van (at the recommendation of the owner) because Cerbaia is around a 25 minute walk and the way back is uphill. Florence is around a 35 minute drive. We also utilized the recommended car service for trips into Florence and a winery tour. Tommaso and his staff were also incredible. Petra recommended 2 different caterers and we had dinner prepared by them for 2 nights during the week. It was delicious and Chef Alessio and his team were so accommodating and friendly. The property is beautiful and we are so grateful for this trip and the hospitality of Ruanthi and Petra.

A Fantastic week in Tuscany

Our stay in Villa Ripanera was fantastic. Its a great villa, with an awesome pool, you will be hard pressed to find a better pool outside of a very nice hotel. The villa is huge with very generous bedrooms and living space. The views from the villa are awesome, although the mosquitos get tiresome. The service provided is perfect, very welcoming and not intrusive. Overall i can definetly recommend a visit.

Great time at Ripanera

Sensational setting, perfect facilities, awesome grounds and pool, easy, comfortable feel to the house, A/C in bedrooms a godsend when every day was 35+. On site manager was friendly, helpful, but not overly in your presence, so overall the experience was everything we sought and more. Could not fault the villa.

Marvelous stay!

Our group of four families had a lovely time at Villa Ripanera! The property is exceptional with many unique details from it's time as a convent. All of the bedrooms have comfortable beds & pillows, and bathrooms are modern and well equipped. We were quite grateful for the powerful bedroom AC units as the week we stayed was during a European heatwave! We were also thrilled to have such a large pool to cool off in and the kids loved the floats and rafts that were provided. There is plenty of outdoor seating space around the pool area along with umbrellas for shade and it never felt crowded despite our group size. Three evenings we enjoyed the services of Chef Allesio and his staff. The meals were terrific and we loved dining al fresco with the stunning views. We found the kitchen to be fully stocked and had no trouble preparing meals! The caretakers, Ruanthi & Dinesh, are kind and helpful and were available any time to assist us. They take tremendous pride in the home and it shows! I hope we have the opportunity to visit again!

Wow. Just wow. I hope I am lucky enough to stay there again.

Words cannot describe how wonderful this villa is. From the minute you drive up the house you immediately recognize that you are in for a treat. The owner was very responsive and helped us greatly when our plans shifted. Once we were on the property, the caretaker was FABULOUS and made sure that we had everything we needed and more. For example, we had several kids in our group so she brought out water guns and pool floats that were an absolute hit! We used one of the recommended on-site chefs (Chef Novella) for a variety of meals including a pizza and pasta making evening. The nights we stayed at the villa were some of our best nights of the week. The villa is also very well located with Florence, San Gimignano, Sienna, Pisa, Luca all within a short drive. HOWEVER, do not forget to spend some time in the local towns. We found that some of the little restaurants (like Nello) were absolutely amazing. I Pini turned out to be the best gelato anyone had in Italy which is amazing given that there had to have been about 40 gelato stops over the course of everyone's travels. Everything about this place is wonderful. If you have the chance to stay there you will not be sorry!

Above and beyond my greatest dreams!

My extended family of 17 people stayed at Villa Ripanera for 12 nights this June....and the villa far exceeded our expectations. This 500 year old villa is absolutely stunning...from the incredible grounds and gorgeous large pool to the charm and beauty of every nook and cranny of the villa. The guesthouse was also super beautiful and spacious. All 17 of us had plenty of room to gather together or take space to ourselves. The views from the villa are simply stunning and we watched the sunset into the Tuscan valley many evenings. While we were there I felt like I was living in a dream...beauty as far as the eye can see and comfort in every room. The caretaker, Ms Rwanthi was my favorite part of this exquisite experience. She is there to help the guests fulfill their needs above and beyond. Her warmth and dedication were touching and we lacked for nothing. Always available to help with a smile...we grew to care so much for her as a friend and thus deepening our experience during this Tuscan vacation. I can not recommend this villa enough...for any group who wants an authentic Tuscan experience in total dreamy paradise. We plan to return to this villa for another family gathering again. We are so grateful for the time we had at Villa Ripanera and we now how cherished memories to last a lifetime!

Great Family Vacation

Our family vacation was supposed to start in Positano, but we never made it because of flight cancellation. The airlines also lost our luggage for three days. This was the start of our vacation. Thus, our spirits were diminished while driving to Villa Ripanera. But, the moment we arrived, our spirits were lifted as we toured the grounds and the Villa. The bedrooms are beautiful, comfortable, and clean. There are several rooms for the family to gather. Our favorite room is the “pool room” overlooking the beautiful pool and backyard. This is where we read, talked, and had our fabulous massages from Ivana of SoulTouch Studio. Our pre-stocked groceries were delivered by Chef Alessio’s group. We used them for a few of our breakfasts, 3 catered dinners, a pizza party, and the chef dinner. Their familiarity with the Villa made the meals so enjoyable. The large dining room accommodated our family of 13 for dinners and breakfasts. However, the pizza party and the chef dinner were held outside, where we enjoyed the sunset and the views of the beautiful Tuscan hills, while we ate and sipped our Chianti wine. The pool area and grounds are impeccably well-kept and beautiful. We spent many afternoons outside, listening to music, talking, and reading. Every spot of the Villa grounds is so beautiful and picturesque. We arranged for Tuscany Shuttle to drive us to various day excursions. They were wonderful. However, if you want to go to nearby towns at your leisure, renting a car or Vespa should be considered. We also highly recommend Ms. Marinella Fattorini. She served as our concierge while in Italy. She is incredibly helpful in arranging museum tours, wine tasting tours, and massages. Since she knew Ms. Ruanthi, Chef Alessio, Ms. Ivana, and Tomasso from Tuscany Shuttle, all of our arrangements/activities occurred seamlessly. What truly made our stay so amazing was Ms. Ruanthi. Ms. Ruanthi is so warm and inviting from the moment you meet her. She even helped us locate our lost luggage. She is very responsive to inquiries and needs. Her and her husband, Dinesh, are very generous with their time and even offered to drive us to town because we did not have a car. We will always remember Villa Ripanera, not just because of its beauty, but also because of Ms. Ruanthi and Dinesh. They helped make this a Great Family Vacation!

Touched Our Hearts

Our stay at Villa Ripanera was truly special. The villa is just beautiful from the comfortable furnishings, wonderful art, large modern bathrooms, fully stocked Tuscan kitchen(with every imaginable gadget and high end appliances)and picturesque countryside we found our home away from home. It is obvious that the owner put a lot of thought in anticipating every possible need a guest may have. It was very hard to leave! The view from every window and terrace was amazing. Sitting in the sun by the beautiful pool while listening to the water and sounds of nature surrounding us was so peaceful and relaxing. Our 2 week stay was from April 27 to May 11 and the weather was unusually cold and rainy for that time. We only had a few nice days so we weren't able to get full use of the outside dining and seating areas. But somehow it didn't matter because the villa is so special. All the fireplaces are functional and there were many places to sit back and read or relax. Its in a great central location and we easily travelled to many of the surrounding towns. Ruanthi, the caretaker, could not have been more kind and caring. We brought my 80 year old parents with us to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. Ruanthi was VERY attentive to their needs- making sure they were warm and comfortable. On the night of the anniversary dinner in the villa, she surprised us with flowers, candles and a cake! Just beautiful. She truly went above and beyond, accommodating our every need. She will be missed! My family will always treasure and fondly remember our time spent at this magical place. I can only hope that one day we will return! Villa Ripanera has earned a special place in our hearts-grazie mille!
