Merryn is an exceptional house in a fabulous location on a very quiet street just a few minutes walk from the stunning surfing beach of Porthmeor. Throw in plenty of parking, fabulous sea views and enclosed courtyard garden and you have the perfect house for a luxurious stay in St Ives.
This stunning house is located on Carthew Terrace, a small lane of granite houses tucked away off the beaten track yet just a short trek down the hill to St Ivesâ town centre, harbour and sandy beaches.
Arranged over three floors, the house has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a snug living room and, perhaps best of all, a lovely, light and spacious kitchen dining room. The house has been fully refurbished yet retains many tasteful period features, whilst the quality furnishings have the perfect balance of classic and contemporary. Outside you will find an enclosed courtyard with outdoor sofas and dining table together with a large gas bbq, the perfect spot for dining al-fresco. The sea views from the first and second floors are truly spectacular.
Those familiar with St Ives will appreciate the private parking across the lane to the front and space for two cars to the rear. There is even space to park on the lane to the front for an additional car.
The kitchen is extremely well-equipped with dishwasher, microwave, 5-ring cooker, large American style fridge freezer and Nespresso coffee machine, with an initial supply of Cornish coffee pods also included. The separate utility room has additional facilities with washer drier, ironing board and iron.
The front bedrooms are light and spacious and offer those aforementioned spectacular views over Porthmeor beach and beyond to âThe Islandâ, St Ivesâ famous landmark headland that overlooks the old fishing quarter known as Downalong. In these bedrooms the beds are large (king and super-king) with top quality deep mattresses ensuring you a restful nights sleep after a busy day on the beach! The other two bedrooms offer the same level of quality and comfort with beds on a smaller scale (double and 2 x singles).
There are three bathrooms, one on each level⊠shower room on the ground floor, family bathroom for the first floor and en-suite shower room at the top.
Merryn is not only the perfect property for the summer months as under-floor heating keeps things nice and cosy on the ground floor with radiators on the upper floors and heated towel rails in all the bathrooms.
Whether your preference is for contemporary or Victorian you will love your stay at Merryn. This stunning house really does tick all the boxes for the ultimate luxury holiday house in St Ives.

The location is perfect on a very quiet lane yet just a short walk down to Porthmeor beach, and a few minutes further on to St Ives town centre and harbour.
Add to that the 3 parking spaces, the enclosed courtyard garden and those outstanding sea views over Porthmeor beach and beyond. Did I mention the stunning sunsets on this side of town!?
