Located on the eastern side of La Cordillera de Tilarán, our property is just 35 minutes from La Fortuna and the Arenal Volcano, near the majestic Children's Eternal Rainforest. This haven is perfect for birdwatching tourism, hiking in the surroundings, and breathing fresh air while enjoying the tranquility.

The Space
For over 10 years, Casa Bromelia has been the home of the Solano Méndez family: Hugo, Dinia, and Darío, who, with hard work and dedication, built their dream home. This house, with a concrete exterior and beautiful wooden interiors, is designed to maximize the enjoyment of the views, flora, and fauna. Open spaces allow for natural light and maintain a pleasant temperature thanks to the tropical breeze that flows through the large windows. The tropical gardens and green areas offer an ideal space for relaxation and enjoyment for all our guests.

Services and Common Areas
Casa Bromelia is a private accommodation set on a 1.5-hectare property. Access is easy and commonly done by vehicle. We are located approximately 3 KM from downtown La Tigra de San Carlos, along a road of cement, asphalt, and gravel, accessible without the need for a 4x4 vehicle. Guests will find signs along the way to help them reach the destination without any problems.

Located in a typical Costa Rican rural village, Casa Bromelia is away from the city noise, in the high part of the village of San Gerardo de La Tigra San Carlos, at an altitude of 550 meters (1804 feet) above sea level, with temperatures ranging from 20-30 degrees Celsius (60-86 Fahrenheit). Just 3 KM from downtown La Tigra San Carlos, you will find supermarkets, a pharmacy, a café, and a bakery.

The Solano Méndez family is passionate about plants, especially bromeliads. Enjoy our collection of over 50 different species in the garden, as well as the lush flora and fauna on our 1.6-hectare (4-acre) property.

We recommend arriving a couple of hours before dusk to get oriented to the surroundings and fully enjoy this natural environment. For a complete experience, we suggest a minimum stay of two nights to immerse yourself in the attractions the area offers.
