So the whole team was deflated to receive such a low score as you seemed so happy to be in the accommodation. The property is indeed a former bank that’s been thoughtfully adapted to make the best use of the space. The Lake District’s strict planning laws help preserve the unique charm and history of the area, which is something we’re incredibly proud of as locals. Unlike urban areas where redevelopment is more flexible, our aim is to strike a balance between preserving the building’s heritage and creating a comfortable space for our guests. The design embraces a cozy, minimalist approach, which many of our guests have enjoyed for its unique charm. That said, we understand it might not suit everyone’s preferences. We appreciate your suggestion about adding more coat hooks and will certainly take that into consideration as we continue to improve the property. We also want to thank you for your thoughts on the lighting. The softer, ambient lighting was chosen to create a relaxing atmosphere, but we understand it may not be ideal for tasks like hair or makeup. Your idea of a brighter mirror is fantastic, and we’ll explore options to better balance ambiance and functionality. For reference, the bathroom does have a well-lit mirror designed for tasks like shaving or makeup application, but we’ll ensure this is communicated more clearly. We’re sorry to hear you felt cold during your stay. That’s not the experience we aim to provide, and it’s not feedback we’ve received before. The heating system is state-of-the-art and adjustable, but it sounds like it may not have met your needs. We’ve reviewed its performance to ensure everything is functioning correctly and cant replicate any issue. The guest guide includes detailed instructions for operating the heating, and we’ll check to see if these could be made clearer. We’ll also remind guests that extra blankets are always available upon request—just a quick call to us is all it takes! That said the same phone call could of attended to provide assistance with heating. Regarding storage in the kitchen and bathroom, these areas were designed to maximize the available space, but we’ll take your feedback into account for future improvements. We’re truly sorry about the oversight with the glassware and towels. That’s not our usual standard, and we’ll ensure these checks are tightened moving forward to avoid any inconvenience for future guests.
