Charming 3 Bedroom Alpine Apartment. Central location and with beautiful views

A superbly located three bedroom duplex apartment with character in a classic Alpine style lodge to rent in the beautiful village of Samoëns, in the Haute-Savoie region of the French Alps.

This well-equipped three-bedroom and two bathroom apartment is the ideal choice for your winter and summer holiday. Situated on the second floor with lift access, the apartment comes with its own ski & bike locker and private underground double car parking. The apartment is just 300m from Samoëns Town Centre, 900m from the Grand Massif Express Ski Lift and the free/frequent ski-bus (that goes to both the Grand Massif Express and Vercland) stops directly opposite the apartment (just 20m).

The living room has a stone fireplace with patio-style doors leading out to the balcony. There is an extendable oak table and chairs to seat 6 beside the galley-style kitchen. Also on this floor, there is a double bedroom which also has access to the balcony, and a bathroom complete with overhead shower and WC.

Upstairs, you will find a spacious twin room with an ensuite shower room and WC. The smaller third bedroom is also on the second level and it has a double sofa bed.

The large balcony is south-facing with stunning mountain views towards Samoens 1600 and the iconic Criou Mountain.

The beautiful village centre of Samoëns, with its plentiful shops and restaurants is within easy walking distance, as are the ice-rink and the leisure area at 'Lac Aux Dames'.

Samoëns sits in the stunning Giffre Valley which lies in between Morzine and Chamonix and was recently voted as the most beautiful village in the Haute-Savoie for 2021. From Samoëns, the whole of the Grand Massif ski area, which includes Flaine, can be explored. In total, 265km of pistes are linked. Samoëns is just a 50 minute drive from Geneva airport.

Samoëns is just as enjoyable in the summer with lots of things to see and do, including hiking, mountain biking (using the Grand Massif Express telecabine for access), outdoor swimming pools (5 minute walk), tennis, whitewater rafting, an outdoor adventure park, weekly markets and numerous summer festivals. In winter, if you prefer to walk to the slopes, there are ski lockers at Samoens 1600 and the lift to take you there is just a 10-15 minute walk from the apartment, naturally stopping for some pain au chocolat on route!

We (4 friends) have been returning to Grand Massif for the last 13 years and this is the first time that we have ventured beyond Les Carroz. I must say that we were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and attention to detail we found in this apartment. Having two separate bathrooms that are modern and well appointed as well as a spacious living room made it a pleasure to stay. The kitchen is well equipped and was able to cook a roast dinner without any fuss. Of particular note is the our host Lee is very responsive to any questions leading up to the stay. Oh, and bonus points go to beds that are already made on arrival and parking being a doddle. Other notable mentions are that you can walk to the GME or take the bus. The bus stop is just outside.

Good apartment short walk from samoens

Good property a short walk from the town centre. Stayed for a long weekend with friends to access grand massif ski area. Had everything we needed, but key were hot showers and comfortable beds! Will be back again.

Nice cozy place

Quite and peaceful place to spend some days. The appartement is decorated in a lovely way and is very unique. Nice contact with the owner. Unfortunately we visited at a period when the town was closed down, so there were not many events around the location.

Apartment in Samones

Myself and 3 friends stayed here for 4 nights on a skiing trip. The location was great, only a 5 - 10 minute walk into the centre and the ski bus top is opposite the property. Great communication with Lee and check in is simple. We try a different ski resort every year, but when we return to Samoens we will try and book this apartment again.

Lovely bright apartment close to town centre

Spectacular south facing mountain views from this second floor apartment (lift available) which was very clean and full of alpine charm. Lee was a super friendly host and responded to our queries very quickly. The apartment is part of a purpose-built building conveniently located within walking distance of the centre of historic Samoens. There is plenty of parking available but the apartment is also opposite the ski bus stop should this be needed. The bed was very comfortable and it was great to be able to have a bath after a hard day's skiing.

the property was well placed for my grandson's school and the centre.But the upstairs bathroom was very dated as was the decor in the bedroom. The twin bed mattresses were very uncomfortable for an adult. There needs to be some updating done on the kitchen equipment especially the pots and pans and there needs to be some internet. I felt the position was great and the balcony and double aspect sitting room cosy. The fire in winter would be also a nice feature...overall 3 stars.

Een hele goede locatie voor skivakantie

We hebben een heel goed verblijf gehad. Het appartement ligt tegenover de bushalte en dat is ideaal voor een skivakantie. Met 3 aparte slaapkamers eb 2 badkamers is het een heel fijn appartement voor een gezin (met volwassen kinderen).
