We stayed in this gated community last summer and that home was wonderful. I was expecting the same from this home as well. Walking in, I realized right away that is was dirty. We were staying for a full week so it wasn’t really ok with us to feel dirty, eating and sleeping there. We got in pretty late but I did immediately send the host asking if he owned any other places within the resort. He did but none were available. I said it just doesn’t seem clean here. I told him that there was so much dust and dirt on the floorboards, bugs, dead bugs in the window, something white all over the couch, ketchup or something red on the wall by the thermostat, food crumbs on the dining table and all over the cushion of the barstools. I said the carpeting in the master seemed so dirty I didn’t want to take off my shoes. He was nice and responded quickly and said a cleaner would come. So we left for awhile so they could clean. It didn’t look different when we came back but the carpet seemed vacuumed and the closet to hang clothes was cleared enough that I could hang my stuff for the week (when I got there it was full of storage items). I told him it wasn’t clean and we went back and forth all day bc he said his wife was with the cleaner and it was cleaned. I finally figured out how to send him pictures of what I was referring to bc I couldn’t on the messaging platform. I called Vrbo for the contact email. After he got the pictures he said he would send someone and we had to leave again
