Ready for an adventure? The Boathouse is tucked away on Green's Point Road in L'Etete, just a three-minute stroll from the Green's Point Lightstation and museum. Once a rugged workspace, we’ve converted it into a cozy coastal retreat that puts you right in the middle of the wild Atlantic landscape.
Kick back on the deck and soak in the raw sights and sounds—think crashing waves, barking seals, and the deep moan of the foghorn as the mist rolls in. Keep your binoculars handy, because you’re likely to spot everything from migrating birds to whales right from shore. When the tide pulls back, it’s game on: head out to explore the nearby islands and discover treasures like sea glass and tide pools left behind by the Bay of Fundy's famous tides.

We were only there for a short time, but we had a great time walking down to the light house. It was a short ride into St Andrews where we were able to find a boat to see a whale and the amazing bay of Fundy. We were very happy and would do it again the next time we go to the maritimes.

Scenic and romantic spot on the bay, with a sweet cottage, renovated with care, creativity, and many special touches. Very comfortable and cozy; well-outfitted with amenities; a lovely combination of antiques and modern touches; welcoming host; all surrounded by cottage gardens. We had an amazing stay the ocean view and the sunsets are breath taking. The boat house is so beautiful and homie all the little touches were so fun to see. The kitchen was very well stocked and the beds were so comfy. Maureen the host was so kind and helpful. This trip was totally a piece of heaven we will be back. Thank you for such a special trip

Maureen's cottage was a perfect peaceful respite by the sea. The home was beautiful with ample natural light and thoughtful, comfortable, and unique furnishings. The view out onto the ocean is beautiful and.continually changing depending on the weather. The location was very quiet. My pup and I enjoyed walking the road to the lighthouse and watching the seabirds, an occasional seal or bald eagle. If you get bored (you won't), it's a short drive to St. George or St. Andrews for more excitement. Maureen was a very kind and thoughtful host who made me and my dog Luka feel right at home. Her lovely home and gardens are nearby should you need anything, yet you are given all the privacy you want.

Relaxing vacation by the bay

Charming property, clean well supplied boathouse. The owner, Maureen is very pleasant and was very helpful with suggestions for day trips in the area. Hummingbirds by the deck and ocean life down by the lighthouse. Very relaxing vacation!

A little slice of paradise

A wonderful relaxing experience in a beautiful coastal setting. Our host Maureen was exceptional and couldn’t have done more to make our stay special. The boathouse itself is outfitted with local art and artifacts, and has been lovingly renovated. Truly one of the best VRBO vacations that we have experienced.

Ocean VIiew

This cottage is great, well designed and decorated, very comfortable. It offers great views of the ocean and an easy drive to any hiking trails, which we enjoy. The lighthouse nearby is an added bonus, just a short stroll over the causeway to get to. A fantastic place to watch the ferry and the setting sun!

So beautiful, so relaxing. Charming place in a wonderful location walking distance to the lighthouse. Abundant wildlife and gorgeous views! There is a often an audible foghorn, which we personally loved, but a possible consideration for exceptionally light sleepers or those sensitive to noise. Plan to visit again!

We had a wonderful week at the Boathouse Cottage. The location could not have been better. You are a 2 minute walk away from a secluded cove on the Bay of Funny (Kelly's Cove) with so much to explore at low tide. The tide pools had lots of treasures- crabs, shells, jellyfish, and unbeatable sunsets. Just 10 minutes away is the small town of St. George with a grocery store and other amenities. Easy day trips include St. Andrews by the Sea (40 minutes) and the white sand beaches of peace river beach (30 minutes) We also really enjoyed exploring Deer Island - the free 20 minute ferry is only 5 minutes from the cottage. The cottage itself was the perfect size for our family of 4. Rustic but appointed; it had the charm of a small restored boathouse but all the comforts and necessities we needed. The owner, Maureen, lives next door and is always available to answer any questions. She is a long time resident to the Bay of Fundy and provided us with local recommendations on beaches to explore and dining that were fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Boathouse and hope to return to again.

The boathouse is quirky and kind of artsy and fun! Nice side deck with very comfy chairs and a propane fire table. (the propane was not working great but my handy brother had it fixed in no time) No Bon fires on property but the beach is literally across the street. Lovely beach views, we thought we would be even closer as per the pics but had no issues. The pollinator flowers and grounds were so lovely and peaceful. The owners are lovely, they have a cute dog but he was a little growly. I am a dog lover but it could be a little scary for children. Being so close to the bay, the house cooled down at night but upstairs was very warm during the day. The main bedroom was nice and large, the loft bedroom was open, to the left as soon as you came upstairs so no hallway or upstairs bathroom. Overall it was a nice get away. We enjoyed the ferry ride over to deer island.The kitchen had everything that you needed. No stove per say, but two burners, toaster oven, air fryer, microwave and a bbq (on the deck)The bathroom had lovely thick face cloths and nice towels.

This is the perfect spot to stay while visiting the general area. The cottage was super cute, beautifully decorated, beds and linens were amazing and the area excellent. It’s a nice walk to the lighthouse or a short drive to neighbouring areas. The deck was also wonderful to enjoy our morning coffee or to have a drink at the end of our day. This is definitely a cottage that I would return to again. Maureen our host was awesome as well.

As a retired nurse I'm a parent to three children, a grandparent to three boys, and a caregiver to two cats and a dog. My husband, a retired biologist and professor, are spending our retirement years renovating an 1863c fisherman's cottage. At our daughter's suggestion, we converted the old boathouse on our property into a cozy short-term rental.
