What an enjoyable stay!

Property is very well kept. Unit was clean and peaceful. It was packed full of furniture and would perhaps feel roomier with a bit less especially on the lanai. The location was perfect for us. Easy drive to beaches and walk to shops and restaurants. The pool and exercise area were beautiful and the staff there very nice and friendly. The only negative thing I can say is that we couldn’t get in the gate when we checked in either with the code or app, we tailgated in and the lock box to get in the unit worked perfectly. We never were able to get the app to work even with two different staff helping us, however, the fob in the unit worked great and we had a wonderful time. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Beautiful Island

We stayed here with our 2 teenage boys this February. The location is absolutely wonderful and very relaxing. The condo is exactly as described and extremely comfortable from the beds, couch to the lanai chairs. More than enough space for everyone to spread out. Lovely view from the lanai as well. Easy walk to A-bay, great for a day at the beach with a stunning sunset. I appreciated the sidewalks and bike lanes on the main road for my runs in the morning. Also a short walk (7-10 minutes to the stores king and queens market) I would highly recommend this rental if you are looking for a low key relaxing location on the Big Island.

Great vacation place, outstanding location

The unit is very clean. The location is truly outstanding. It’s walking distance to the beach, walking distance to multiple restaurants and supermarkets. Everything you need for a great vacation is just few minutes away. The area was very quiet which was important to us. Wendee was also prompt in every communication. We had great time!

Our stay was very nice. I did try to communicate with Wendee on two occasions and only heard back on a timely basis on the first call. I realize that I called on the weekend which is an inconvenience. The second call also wasn't really addressed. The unit seems to have an additional air conditioning feature in the master that is on regardless of the main unit and was relatively noisy at night. I wanted to see if there was a way to turn that down or off while the main air conditioning was also off. Otherwise the stay was very nice and we tried to keep and leave the unit in a clean fashion. Thanks!

Spectacular property ‌

This unit is a “Diamond in the rough”
 extremely beautiful set up, clean & a great panoramic view from the lanai!
 located near some wonderful shops and shopping market with groceries which was so convenient, all walking distance
 I would HIGHLY recommend, and Wendee the property manager was very helpful when needed
 I have already booked for next year with this unit!!! (I am disabled, and with the elevator available to the 3rd floor of this wonderful property, it is very user friendly for those with a handicap, including a nice sitting bench built in master shower)

Great location, great space

This was a great spot for our family, we had so much to do within walking distance (thanks so much to the property for having a wagon to use to get to the beach), and we loved the toddler pool and big pool at the property. Lots of space, laundry, and a great kitchen with all the basics for cooking some fish or steak on the grill.

Can't Beat the Location

Kolea is perfectly located in the Waikoloa area, close to the beach, shopping and dining (all within easy walking distance). We've stayed in several units in Kolea and this particular unit was the best stocked, by far. Every kitchen amenity one would need, beach equipment (beach towels, chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, sand toys) and the beds are comfortable. The property manager, Wendee, was super responsive and addressed questions quickly and thoroughly. Looking forward to a return stay!

Big Island

Condo was just as advertised. Everything was clean and in good working order. Weather in this area of the island can't be beat. Pool area is beautiful and pool is now heated where as few years ago they didn't heat unless it dropped below 78 degrees. Now only issue with pool is the best loungers are full by 8:00 in the morning. There was always loungers in the back area open at least and ocean is a short walk away. Overall I would definitely stay in this condo again and Kolea is the best condo complex on the island.

Perfect Elopement Getaway

We stayed in Unit J15 for five nights with our two daughters for our elopement. It was beautiful, clean, stocked with any amenity you would need and provided us a beautiful place to come back to as newlyweds. The separation of space and outside lanai was lovely. Although Waikoloa is the windy side of the island, we weren’t too affected by it. Many things to do and see nearby. Mahalo, Wendee, for your hospitality with our fruit basket and providing our ohana an amazing stay. We will be back!

Perfect Location, Beautiful Property

We absolutely loved our stay at this incredible property. The kitchen has everything needed and there was more than enough room for our family of four (including two kids, 13 and 9). We especially appreciated the beach gear that is conveniently located in the covered parking closet -- so perfect! The grounds of the property are also beautifully maintained and we loved it's walking distance to the local shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again and can't wait to come back!

Upmarket Apartment in a great location

Exquisite apartment with top of the range appliances. Beautiful decorations. Good internet. Appreciated the welcome fruit basket. The gardens in the complex are beautifully landscaped and well maintained. Pool area is amazing. Easy access to the beach. Sunsets views from the beach are awesome. Wendee provided all required information upfront and there was no need to meet her. Location to shops and site seeing is ideal. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay and will surely be back in the future.

First timers

Having never been to the Big Island, we decided to join friends who’ve been many times. Our friends were staying at the Marriott but with our family of 4, one room at the Marriott wouldn’t work for our small kids who sleep at 8p and the adults who want to spend more time awake after 8. We also love making breakfast and enjoy a little more room to stretch out. This unit was everything we wanted and more. Being exclusively VRBO’ers, we know not all hosts have the same level or clean or preparedness as we hope but this place is cleaner than my house! Amenities, finishes, and overall design is superior to many places we’ve stayed at. Items left for guest use that I’m assuming have been left over time was so helpful, including spices, rice, other basic pantry items, soaps, bandaids, aloe, sunblock, and everything in between. Absolutely will stay here again.

Amazing Property

The property was amazing. The location was perfect, walking distance to A-Bay was a delight. Our contact Wendee was so helpful in so many ways. From booking to on property. She responded immediately when my son stepped on a sea urchin, she was patient with us figuring out the AC system. The pictures of unit were accurately beautiful but the actual unit was better. The garage closet was stocked with beach gear, yes an upgrade of two of the four chairs would be great but it didn’t hinder our walks to the beach at all. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to prepare meals and the cupboards had some extras hat cam in handy like coffee filters. Our family of 4 had an amazing stay and can’t recommend this unit enough. It really was a perfect stay. Thank you Wendee!

Wonderful stay in Waikoloa.

My husband and I along with another couple just finished a 6 night stay at Kolea 15J. The condo was just as beautiful as advertised. The balcony view is fabulous, with a bit of a water view and also a view of the mountains. The furnishings were very upscale and tasteful and the condo had everything we needed for our vacation. It was an easy walk to the beautiful pool and fitness area. We also took advantage of the quick walk to A-Bay Beach and Lava Lava Restaurant. We loved that there were 4 beach chairs, 2 umbrellas, boogie boards, and a large cooler. We loaded up the rental SUV and explored the incredible nearby beaches. The manager, Wendee, was always prompt in getting to back to us when there was a question. We did have a couple of issues...there was a ceiling leak over the guest room toilet one evening. I called Wendee and left a message at 5:00pm. It was taken care of while we were out at dinner. The outdoor grill on the patio was out of propane gas so when we went to grill our fresh fish we found we couldn't use the grill. The beach chairs need to be replaced as a couple of them have broken straps. Other than those minor issues everything was great and I would definitely recommend this condo and the Kolea condo development. It is beautifully designed and landscaped and was a pleasure to walk and drive around the complex. We hope to be back someday!
