Each of our 4 bedrooms represents a Hogwarts house and features its own fireplace, television, custom house bathrobes, and nostalgic decor. The hardest part will be deciding which room to stay in!
Also, when you stay here, you're staying at the luxurious Regal Palms Resort (30 minutes to Universal Studios, 15 minutes to Disney) which includes a lazy river, water slide, charcoal grills, playgrounds, hot tubs, on-site restaurant, gym, tiki bar, ice cream parlor and more!
We're excited to offer a custom Harry Potter-themed home at the luxurious Regal Palms Resort which features a Leaky Cauldron theme kitchen and dining area as well as 4 bedrooms, each representing a Hogwarts house. The unit is riddled with details that only a true Potterhead can appreciate.
Once you enter Platform 9 3/4 (front door) you'll immediately see to your left the Slytherin themed bedroom, appropriately placed on the bottom floor. You already know the green lights and silver decor symbolize the Slytherin colors. You might also notice the snakes placed throughout both the bedroom and bathroom. You'll feel like you're in a dungeon and the elegance of a true Slytherin common room.
The kitchen offers the old-fashioned feel of the Leaky Cauldron complete with barrels to finish off the look but with the modern amenities of stainless steel appliances, cookware, and air fryer. The kitchen pantry is also where you'll find all the Harry Potter-themed family games such as Trivial Pursuit, Codenames, Clue, and more.
The common living and dining area as mentioned earlier pays homage to the famous Leaky Cauldron. A true Potterhead will notice that the ceiling light fixtures are similar to the ones found at the Leaky Cauldron within Universal Studios and the films. This space offers plenty of room for everyone to be together at once to play games, watch a movie, or just socialize about your favorite Harry Potter book (spoiler alert: it's "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix")
As you begin your ascent up the stairs to the other 3 bedrooms, you might want to visit Harry's cupboard under the stairs with his invitations to Hogwarts flying in. Within the cupboard, you can turn on a few extra lights designed like snitch's as your children play with the provided toys during their stay or can even sleep in the cupboard for a fully immersive Harry Potter experience as a cot and bedding are provided.
On the staircase, there are two Dumbledore's, Albus and Ariana, as well as everyone's favorite house-elf, Dobby. Resting on the window sill you'll see the sorting hat and the golden egg that Harry earns during the Tri-Wizard Tournament.
Each bedroom door has taken special care to stay true to the books (even those not mentioned in the movies). The first bedroom upstairs is the master bedroom which is also the Ravenclaw bedroom. Your Hufflepuff friends might notice a riddle placed on the front door but only a true Ravenclaw can solve it. Once you've entered you'll recognize that we made the decision to stick to the author's original colors for Ravenclaw, blue and bronze, instead of the movie version of blue and silver. You'll feel like you're at the top of the Ravenclaw Tower, ready to read, "Hogwarts: A History" on your own private patio.
Just down the hall to the left is the Gryffindor room. Once the fat lady lets you in your kids will get settled into two bunk beds for them to sleep in along with their own owls to sleep with for the duration of their stay. Above the TV and fireplace is a Nimbus 2000. Kids will love that Hedwig is on the light fixture, watching over them as they play and the snitch night light will provide the right amount of comfort at night.
The final room in the home is none other than the Hufflepuff room. Once you squeeze through the barrel into the bedroom you'll be greeted by mandrakes (don't forget to put on your earmuffs!) and all kinds of plants and shrubbery along with a cozy fireplace. If you're a true Hufflepuff, nothing will feel more like home.
