Great stay!

We stayed with family from out of state and the cabin was great. With the hot tub, pool table and arcade game, there was plenty for the kids to do too when we weren’t down exploring Gatlinburg. Nice stay!

Relaxation Plus

Good cabin. Perched on side of the mountain with sounds of the river below. Very relaxing. Hot tub, pool table and arcade games kept all ages entertained when we were not down in Gatlinburg enjoying the sights. Thank you VRBO!

Best place to stay!!

I looked for two weeks trying to find the best place to stay. We have never been to the Gatlinburg area so it was difficult. I finally settled at 5011 Riversong. It was PERFECT!! We were only about 12 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg but at the same time we had a cabin with a spectacular view and we were all alone on the mountain. No neighbors in sight. It was the best!! If I could say something I would change it would be the couch, loveseat and chair was not the most comfortable. The pots and pans could be updated. The skillet isn’t even flat. It doesn’t have an ice maker so we had to run down to the little store for ice when we got there. It’s only 5 minutes down the mountain and through the valley. But overall I will be staying here again. We absolutely LOVED it!! Thank you for the best time!!!!

Great rental property

Our family of 5 stayed at Riversong Ridge in August during our vacation to the Smoky Mountains / Gatlinburg. Location was perfect - away from the activity of Gatlinburg but still within a short 10 min drive. Situated east of Gatlinburg, it was also easy to get to good whitewater rafting locations closer to NC. As others noted driveway is steep but it's really not that bad (though I'm curious what happens when you meet someone going the opposite direction!). Kids loved the hot tub, video games, and pool table. Great views off the back deck - nothing like waking up to a sunny mountain view or watching the mist/fog roll in at night. Host (Brett) was very responsive. We would rent this again.

3 bedrooms up on the mountain

We enjoyed our stay immensely. The cabin is nice sized and has a scenic view from the front and the back porch. The beds were comfortable and we had no problems with sounds during the night. TVs were fine with a decent selection of channels. We only used the kitchen lightly but it was fully stocked and functional. There is wifi. However, it did not connect to the internet. We didn't bother the owner and used our phone's hotspot, which worked OK. The cabin is starting to show a few signs of aging but was great none the less. All of us were past 75 so the stairs were a little steep and the log hand rail too big to hold. The car (AWD) and driver had no problems with a couple of the steep grades and switchbacks, but a couple of passengers held their breath on the first few trips up. Everyone relaxed after that. It could be dangerous in the snow, heavy rain, or fog. Although there are cabins up and down the mountain, this one provides great privacy but you are not isolated at all. We enjoyed our stay and will consider the same cabin again.

Fall break trip

Everything was great about this experience. This is the second time we rented this cabin. Very large cabin. Very clean. Hot tub was awesome. The property manager returned my call immediately. Needed batteries and help with a smoke detector. There were plenty of items I usually bring but the cabin had a lot. Left most of mine for the next person. I’m talking paper towels, toilet paper etc… The drive was up some hills but not bad. There is a bear that comes around to check the trash. Saw him the first day but the last day he threw the trash metal container down the hill. So watch out for him.

Breathtaking views in a peaceful setting

First, I need to say that while the pictures online are beautiful, they do not so this property justice. The mountain views are breathtaking! Watching the clouds rise above your view and up past the mountain peak was a favorite pastime. And the drive to the property is something you will NOT see staying in the city. The wraparound covered porch and rocking chairs invite you to stay and take in the beauty and peace around you. We have 2 teens and the layout of the home allowed them to have their own space downstairs with the 2 bedroom suites and gameroom. The hot tub and a pool table were favorites for us! We ended each day in the hot tub and playing pool. Here are our pros and cons of the property: Pros: Basics are included (garbage bag to start the trip, dishwasher detergent, dish soap, plenty of towels, spices). They have a Keurig and a coffee maker, plenty of appliances and pots/pans to cook at home if that is your preference. Cons: While the home was clean, it could use a "deep clean" dusting. Walls and trim were very dusty. Some lights didn't work (fireplace lights) and several outlet plugs didn't work. The living room seating (chair and loveseat) lacked proper support when you sat down. All of the cons are not deal breakers, and would be easy fixes. A final con was that I emailed Evolve asking a question and it took them 10 days to respond. We were already on vacation when they contacted us and referred us to contact the owner. Luckily it wasn't an emergency... All in all, none of the cons negatively impacted our trip, and the PROS truly were AMAZING.

Perfect for our family

This property was perfect for our family of 6. We loved the covered hot tub and enjoyed it rain and shine. The game room was a big hit with the kids. The kitchen had the cookware, dishes, etc. for us to prepare meals at the cabin. Each bedroom had a king size bed and it’s own bathroom, which was great. Our minivan got a workout going up and down the hills, but the view was well worth it.

Nice cabin and nice location

The cabin was nice. Great location. Drive way can be a little intimidating but after that first trip it wasn’t as bad. I thought the mattresses and couches could use and upgrade but they were ok and the cabin could haves used a little more cleaning but overall it was a nice cabin with a great view. I would return.

This cabin was absolutely beautiful. All of our expectations were met😊

Brett our house host was fabulous! He went above and beyond- checking to make sure we arrived safely since we drove from Michigan ti go giving us recommendations of where to eat and the time of day to visit Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg to avoid traffic. The house was beautiful and very clean. Such a relaxing and peaceful place to stay. Waking up every morning and having coffee on the deck watching the sunrise and the sunset at night was spectacular! We will definitely rent this property again. Thank you again Brett for making our vacation fabulous 😊

Excellent, you will have Great Memories!

This cabin was perfect for our family get together. Each group had their own bathroom (private) and the view off the balcony was awesome. Location, Location, Location! Very spacious, plenty of room for everyone. As other people have mentioned, there are some fairly intimidating hills UP to the cabin, but no one in our party had issues. Very remote, but you can hear the creek from WAY Below. Surprisingly, very few birds could be heard. Enough TV’s for everyone; Internet worked ok (Hey, you’re on Vacation). Kitchen had enough supplies for our needs, (an ice maker would be nice). We cooked dinner two nights, cooking on the charcoal grill; There is a Keurig for coffee. Beds & Pillows were fine and comfortable (maybe upgraded since other reviews?), furniture inside was ok, and passable… rocking chairs outside were used way more than inside stuff was; the Views! Yea, Master bathroom tub was very slow to drain. We enjoyed the hot tub nightly and trying to set new records on the arcade games. Had enough contact from our support person, and it was good to know they were available if needed. Would absolutely book again! Highly recommended!

Would stay again

This place has an excellent View and location. When I booked this place I knew I was booking it for that reason. The cabin is nice with plenty of space. Hot tub was great with an awesome view. Would definitely stay here again. That being said, there were some issues worth mentioning. The living room furniture was awful and uncomfortable. Be prepared to use lots of pillows for cushion. All of the showers drain slow and will back up water while showing. Also you can only use two of the three showers at a time or the water pressure is too low. There were several dishes in the kitchen that were still dirty (a frying pan, a couple of glasses, and a knife in the knife block). There was also trash under the love seat, and one of the downstairs beds. The light was hanging from the master bedroom fan by only the wires (this was hard to see so I could see why that was missed). All in all this was a good experience. Like I said, you are paying for an amazing location and view.

This cabin met all of my family’s needs. Pros were the mountain view, good amount of space in the cabin. Cons were the cabin is on a very steep incline. I drive a van and was able to make it, but it rained one day and my tires were struggling to grip the road. Also, the furniture needs to be replaced in the living room. Sounds trivial, but the couch is basically flat and the chair is like sitting on the ground. Bring your own pillows for the bed…they need to be replaced because they are flat. Overall, we would absolutely stay there again.

GATLINBURG GET AWAY

THE HOUSE WAS GREAT WITH PLENTY OF ROOM FOR EVERYONE, GOOD VIEW, GOOD REC ROOM. KITCHEN WELL STOCKED. THE ONLY DOWN SIDE WAS THE LIVING ROOM FURNITURE AND THE BEDROOM MATRESSES WERE IN NEED OF REPLACEMENT.

Smokey Mountain Cabin

As described. Roomy and clean cabin. Driveway is pretty steep but we did fine in our 2 wheel drive SUV. We enjoyed our stay.
