Weekend Getaway

We decided to do a little weekend getaway from MN - brought our bikes and hit the bike trail from Harbor Springs to Petoskey. Loved the area - so beautiful and charming. Would definitely come back! The house was pretty big for just the two of us, but excellent location for biking so we chose it and weren't disappointed. We loved the restaurants in the area, and traveled the Tunnel of Trees, loved the waterfront in Harbor Springs and Petoskey, hit the casino (even won some money!) and did a day trip to a couple wineries and Hop Lot in Sutton's Bay. All in all - excellent trip!

House in the woods

The house was in a beautiful setting. It was so peaceful and quiet. It had everything we needed. The host responded quickly when we had concerns about ants but the problem was eventually solved. My only concern was the stairs had no railings and that could present a problem to some. I would definitely recommend it for families or 3 couples as it is quite large. Overall it was a perfect place to celebrate a big birthday.

Fantastic location with all the comforts of home

Our family booked a last minute Covid Christmas Ski Trip at this home and could not have been happier with our stay. The house is located just a few minutes from both the ski resorts and downtown Harbor Springs. The home itself is beautiful and looks like it has been recently updated with newer furniture and very comfortable beds. Everything was spotless and clean when we arrived. Fabulous kitchen with all the cooking utensils you could need and a nice big dining room table. We cooked big Christmas Eve and Christmas dinners with no problem at all. The living room is very cozy with an amazing view of the surrounding woods. Lots of space and beds overall which could comfortably fit 2 families for a long stay. It was so nice to have an attached garage for our ski trip. Thanks for a great stay!

Great location, nice property

The home is a good value overall if you don’t expect perfection. Pros: - easy access via keypad - comfortable queen bed upstairs - fireplace - only used ecologs, could have used more - nice location, easy access to skiing and local towns within 10 minutes Cons: - wear and tear / sloppy updates - not the cleanest - chunk of dust on fans, pee on toilets, hair/fur/crumbs all over carpet and furniture, large dead flies upstairs - would appreciate more supplies rather than rationing what was provided (only 1 fire log, dishwasher pod, towel, etc per day). We ended up having to go purchase additional supplies. No soaps in bathrooms. - random kitchen collection - it would be nice to have a larger, cohesive dish and drink ware set. Didn’t love having to wash every plate/cup to have enough for the next meal. Also, would prefer to drink out of glassware instead of plastic. It would also be nice to have more than one leftovers container. There were a large variety of utensils so that kind of makes up for it.

Fantastic Stay! Super close to Skiing!

Had an amazing stay! Perfect location for skiing! Only a 10 minute drive to the highlands and nubs knob! Also great location to downtown Petoskey and Harbour Springs (only like 10 minutes to each from the house!) Home had a nice well equipped kitchen with plenty of dining space. Also loved the upnorth feel with the wood accents and stone fireplace. Very cozy! Would come back to stay in a heartbeat!

Great Location

This home is in a great location. During our two week stay we visited several small towns, road the bike path, golfed, went to some hidden beaches, dined at local restaurants, etc. The home itself is nice, but with a few changes, it could be awesome. It really needs storage for clothes…dressers, nightstands. We did not want to live out of suitcases for 2 weeks. A few extra items in kitchen would be good, such as glass wine glasses. Owner should also seriously consider installing air conditioning. The humidity level was incredibly high during our stay. Bedding, towels, carpeting all felt damp the entire time. Long term, this cannot be good for contents of home. Kim, property manager, was great...she found us a dresser for so we could unpack our clothes. She also gave us several awesome recommendations on places to go and things to do.

Private getaway

We had a nice time away staying here for a week. It’s located close to the Petoskey State park and Harbor Springs. The access to the wheelway is great if that’s what you’re looking for. It’s very private and nice for fires out in the back. It is a drive to get to downtown Petoskey or Harbor Springs, but overall a good location. Property manager was responsive.

With one couch and one small rocker that didn’t seem to work well and was starting to break, it would’ve been nice to have a little more seating in the living area where we spent most of our time. There was not enough seating for 8 adults. There was also quite a few ants around the house when we stayed which I’m assuming is for this time of year. The beds were very clean and comfortable and everything had been cleaned well.

Clean and easy check in

Family of five with three daughters under 11. Easy check in process, all via email. Very clean house. Kitchen had anything you could need for meals. Outdoor space was perfect for roasting marshmallows with firewood provided. House is larger than what pictures seem to depict. Location is perfect for getting into town. Literally no issues.
