Miles of deserted white sand beaches await your discovery. This charming casita is located 15 minutes from Nine Palms surf break in the East Cape region of Baja California Sur, atop a breeze-catching knoll overlooking the rest of the large beachfront property. The beach is only 100 meters from your front door! Walking distance to a great restaurant/bar with live musical entertainment every Saturday night.

Great bird watching in the surrounding desert. Whale watch from your patio or charter a boat with one of the local fishermen. Dive or snorkel right off the beach or drive 17 miles to Cabo Pulmo National Marine Park, site of the only hard coral reef in the Sea of Cortez. There you can dive with huge schools of fish, morbula rays, whale sharks, goliath groupers and hammerhead sharks.

Kite or wind surf launching right out front! Humpback whales pass on their way North as you enjoy a cocktail on the large shaded patio.

Minimize your carbon footprint while you vacation in this solar-powered home! Owners are knowledgeable about local tourism services, natural history and are bilingual. Ask about our catering service, in-room massage and yoga instruction.

Stay for a week or longer and receive our special discounted rate. This Casa Perfecto is a very cozy and modest nest to spend heavenly time on the Baja California Sur. Leo and Gabby were there for our every need, such sweet and kind Mexican locals, with knowledge of the area they love to share. Mark, the owner came to his fantastic casa for a spontaneous stay and was kind, gracious and humble considering the piece of heaven he owns! The caretaker was very helpful and both the caretaker and host gave us excellent advice on activities. We loved the peace and quiet- could listen to the surf as we went to bed. The dogs were great fun too! Bella joined us on our beach walks and kept us company (along with the puppy) at the casita. Gorgeous view from the property and we saw several humpback whales offshore. Lots of pelicans and others birds too. Would definitely come back if we get the chance.

Very cute, private casita close to the peach. Stunning sunrise views and whale watching. The WiFi was a bit inconsistent and the AC did not work. Lucky we were there during a cool time, so we got by without it. Potable water was a huge plus! The host and his family were very very nice.

What a beautiful spot! Remote and quiet, you can see the stars at night and hear the ocean waves crashing. Diva and Bella the dog greeted us every morning and walked down to the beach with us. Leo helped us out when we needed to check our tire pressure. Expect to unplug as there is no tv, we spent our time reading, visiting around the area and watching whales breach from the porch :)

Relaxing and quiet holiday

We had a great stay, the casita was perfect for our family's getaway, very quiet and peaceful. We walked just down the beach to eat most of our meals at Vidasoul restaurant which was excellent. The casita was clean, beds comfortable and it had everything we needed. Leo was on-site to greet us and show us around. Thank you!

Off the grid!

Great value!(until they add taxes, cleaning etc.) ! Casita is fantastic. Could use a new set of pots and pans as well as coffee cups. Some of the pans and dishes had been put away dirty. Kitchen sink and faucet need some help. Solar power worked great, plenty of hot water, decent WiFi. Saw whales right off shore! Would definitely recommend to others!

Exactly what I was looking for

This place was perfect! So secluded and relaxing and far from the hustle and bustle of some of the most touristy areas. We’re really glad we sprung for 4WD on the rental car because the road is as rough as described. We saw a ton of humpback whales right from the porch! Mochi the cat was very demanding of snuggles and Diva the dog accompanied us to the beach almost every time we went down there. My only note is that the fridge makes a high pitched noise occasionally: we opened the windows and the sounds of the waves drowned it out, but if we had to close them to run the ac it would have bothered me. I would 100% recommend staying here.

Ocean View/Front Casita & Beach to Yourself

The ocean view casita is a perfect place to kick back, slow down and enjoy the easy pace of Mexico! It has everything you need, from kitchenware to beach chairs and cooler. We walked down to the pristine beach each day and enjoyed several beverages on the sand while watching the whales and their calves breach, tail slap and play! The groundskeeper, Leo, and his lovely partner made a batch of cactus juice for us to try and it was fantastic. We drank some with our breakfast each morning. We also drove up the East Cape looking at various properties for sale. And I will say that this one is a stunner!! One of my favorite, although unbelievable, things to do each day, was to walk the beach and not see anyone for miles!! We will be back to visit our friends, Diva, the doggo, who insisted on escorting us on our walks, and the cat who apparently kills rattlesnakes, but is very friendly to people.

Paradise

We rented both the big house and the casita because we had a big group of 12 friends for a birthday celebration for a week. It was nice to have the option to also rent the casita for more room! The entire property is incredible, including Leo and Gabby and the two sweet dogs, Bella and Diva, who we got to visit with a few times. Leo was more than helpful! He purchased all of our groceries for us and helped us with our airport shuttles. We also took advantage of two authentic, delicious dinners made by. Leo and Gabby. The beach at the house goes on for miles along the beautiful turquoise Sea of Cortez. There is a bit of a break in front of the house... not enough for a surfboard this time of year but great for body surfing and swimming. We saw whales breaching several times a day right in front of the house! And the moon shining on the sea in the evenings was spectacular! The owners were easy to communicate with and generous with sharing their special place! All of us in our group want to go back to this memorable place someday!

Perfect venue for our East Cape Wedding!

Casa del Amanecer provided the perfect setting for our wedding ceremony. Dawn, the homeowner is amazing, she went above and beyond to make our day so special. When we decided that we wanted to have an East Cape wedding this past winter, we could not have envisioned a better place to have it then at Dawn's beach house. The grounds were beautiful which I am sure is a testament to how much hard work she has put in over the years to make it that way. The flowers were gorgeous and better than any we could have imagined. Everything was so wonderful and surreal that day. The house was spotless. The beach was perfect. We used the casita for the bridal party, and the main house for the groom. It worked out so we were able to get ready and not see each other prior to ceremony. The property more than accommodated our 30+ guests, including kids and grandparents. The patio with the palapa overlooking the beach was perfect for our post-ceremony champagne toasts and appetizers. Overall, I would highly recommend this location for a wedding. We were able to exchange vows and get married in a setting that we will never forget. Thank you, Dawn! We look forward to visiting during our annual trips to the East Cape for years to come.

A dream casita in East Cabo!

A beautiful place to stay on the East Cape. The owner was extraordinarily responsive to all questions and provided useful info as soon as I inked the rental. Wonderful on-site manager -- Leo -- who when I arrived and confessed I hadn't gotten enough gas before leaving civilization immediately offered to bring me some more the next day, which he did. Fantastic views, and the place felt very safe (as a single woman I had worried about this ahead of time, but no need to have worried!) I advise renting a 4WD SUV for the occasion -- the roads to the casita and around it are dirt and very rutted! Also, do be sure to stock up on groceries in San Jose del Cabo or Cabo San Lucas before going to the casita. Once you arrive there the only grocery options are two small stores that require at least a 20 minute drive down the rutted dirt roads. But, there's a nice hotel just 5 minutes drive down the road where you can get meals if you haven't brought enough food with you. I especially recommend El Arbolito beach for snorkeling!

Romantic Getaway

The Casita is charmingly old-fashioned and overall clean and comfortable, Bathroom was not spotless and we had to clean out many flies and moths. However, this was not a deterrent to us enjoying our stay. Which we truly enjoyed; the views of the sky and our walks along the beach oceanfront we experienced gave us both the togetherness and relaxation we sought for our visit. We recomend the same for any other future guests. We will one day hopefully return to enjoy once more. Thank you.

Perfect

We rented the main home as well for our 2 families with 6 children. The guest house was great-awesome view, clean, great patio. We spent most of our time at the main home’s pool, but our teen boys enjoyed their own space and hammock time! We surfed right out front, snorkeled at Cabo Pulmo, spear fished, walked to the nearby restaurant, and just enjoyed swimming/ bbqing. The caretakers were amazing, highly recommend having them cook a few meals for you!

Perfect compliment to the large house on the same property.

We stayed in the casita while our friends rented the large house. It was a wonderful way for our two families to share the pool but also have our own space when needed.

Awesome place!!!

We loved our stay here! We loved the caretaker Leo - he was so nice and helpful! The view is amazing - the place is beautiful! The beach is a short walk away - it is not swimmable but wonderful to walk on and we were usually the only ones on the beach. The location is pretty far out on a dirt road so don’t try to get there at night but we loved the coastal road drive out there during the day. Dawn gave us great suggestions and was very helpful! My kids loved the dogs. Read the instructions in the binder - that is useful info. All in all, Dawn provides a wonderful place to get away from the crowds and enjoy some peace and quiet with amazing views and scenery!

Mark bought this property with 3 partners. It was a great place already, but we added the AC and are improving it step by step. All 4 of us love all the adventures Baja has to offer. We have all travelled the world yet keep returning to this special spot on the sea. Every trip is different. Every trip has something new. We love it, our kids love it & our friends love it.

Baja is a special place. It is so close to the United States yet so far away in so many ways. The pace of life is slower & more relaxed. Friendly people are more than happy to share stories. Delightful food, amazing fresh seafood, delicious drinks and the spices of Mexico provide daily variety. This spot in Baja is unspoiled and gorgeous. It will not stay that way forever. Cabo is one of the top 5 resorts in the world. At our "Palacio," the difference is that you get the relaxation, natural beauty and wonderful weather without the hustle, bustle and crime of the city. Years from now, once the road is paved, the feel will change & development will march forward. In the meantime we will relish our piece of paradise & hope you get a chance to enjoy it too.
