Unsere Villa ist nur wenige Schritte vom glitzernden smaragdgrünen Meer entfernt. Es liegt in einer privaten Sackgasse mit 8 Villen. Der Strand vor der Villa ist weiß und sandig, mit relativ ruhigen Gewässern von Stocking Island geschützt. Gutes Essen und Bars befinden sich gleich nebenan auf dem neuen Exuma Beach Resort und Augusta Bay. Nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß zum einen der besten Strände auf Great Exuma (Jolly Hall Beach) sowie die beliebten lokalen Fish Fry, wo Sie die besten BBQ Rippen, frisch gegrillten Fisch und berühmten Muschel Salat auf Steves finden.

Eine komfortable Villa mit einem Schlafzimmer für ein Paar oder ein Paar mit 2 Kindern unter 12 Jahren. Dekoriert mit Möbeln im Inselstil. Genießen Sie die großzügigen Wohnzimmer mit neuen LCD-TV, Highspeed-WLAN, Grill frischen Fisch auf dem Grill oder verwenden Sie eine voll ausgestattete Küche mit Mikrowelle und Backofen. We spent a week in March 2025 in this new renovated villa. This small villa is like a simple cottage. The villa is located on the grounds of Hideaways Beach Resort at Palm Bay. This villa is privately owned and does not belong to this resort. From the villa to the sandy beach it's only a few steps. Unfortunately, you can only use the Hideaways Resort's pool for a fee. The villa was well cleaned. Kitchen and both bathrooms are modernized. The villa is equipped with everything you need for a short or longer stay and for self-catering: microwave, stove with oven, toaster, refrigerator, freezer, filter coffee machine, kettle, blender, pots and pans, dishes, kitchen utensils, washing machine with dryer, hairdryer, linens and new towels. TV, air condition, fans and free Wi-Fi are available and worked well. There is no dining table on the terrace, only a small side table and two relaxation chairs. We enjoyed our coffee on the terrace with the view to the sea and the other villas. The bed was comfortable for us, we slept well. There are two kayaks in the villa. You can use them free of charge. The communication with Cleo was pleasent. She gave us a lot of information about shopping, restaurants and other. Should you have a problem, Cleo is also very helpful. There is a restaurant in the Hideaways Resort and you can also walk to the Fish Fry. There are many dining options. We usually ate at Krusty Crab. The food is delicious and the prices are good.

Cloe was very accommodating

The place was good for the price. Loved the location. Bed was big which I loved but a little too hard for me. Loved having the washer and dryer in there . The couch was very uncomfortable. Cloe said they are doing a full renovation in April can’t wait to see it all done over.

Prop mgr. very responsive before trip & upon arrival. Clean & fully equipped w/basics. Disappointed restaurant onsite closed for remodel & other local eateries only open on weekends. Beach scene in photo not beach at property. Very narrow ‘beach’ @ property not as pristine with seaweed. Villa is a dated cottage that does not face beach with 3 cottages between rrental & beach. Not allowed to swim in pool or use clubhouse, gym, or complimentary shuttle because owner not affiliated with HideAway association. Spent $20-$40/day on taxis to restaurants & well know beaches. Advise avoiding Exuma during slow season because of shop & restaurant closures.

Everything you need

Things I look for in a vacation rental: 1. Value. Yes, this place is a good value for the nightly rate compared to others on the island. 2. Convenience. Yes, there is a bar and grill on the property that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner so you don't have to drive anywhere to eat or get a cocktail. Also, there is a full kitchen in the villa, and a washer and dryer. Wifi, of course. And cold air-conditioning. 3. Location. Yes, you are a 30 second walk to the beach where you can lounge and swim, and a 10 minute walk to Coco Plum beach which is a world-class, picturesque location. There are also several grocery stores and restaurants within a 5 to 10 minute drive.

Property needs a makeover

The property itself to summarize it in three words needs TLC. The location is in a great area. This property is inside the Hideaways hotel but it’s privately owned so you cannot use any of the hotel amenities . I saw other villas from the actual hotel that were in way better conditions. The room was not clean enough it was very dusty and made my allergies worse. I wish I had cleaning supplies so I could clean the sand and dust myself. The room also had a weird smell all the time. To me it smelled moldy like humidity. The owner mentioned they had just recently painted although it did not smell like paint to us. This villa needs a makeover being in the exclusive beach location like Exumas it definitely needs more care. The only thing we enjoyed was the location since everything was close by and we enjoyed the outdoors more than anything else.

We enjoyed our stay here, especially 2 bathrooms. Close to Georgetown, the beach and a restaurant for times we didn’t want to drive. Also great that the grocery store in Georgetown was well stocked. Thank you for your hospitality

Lovely Exuma Getaway

We had a very smooth arrival and check-in. We were treated promptly at the airport by Willy with our rental car that he had helped to secure for us. The property is clean and was perfect for our use. It’s steps from the beach and there are several nearby restaurants. A wonderful base for a stay on Exuma!

Perfect location

Place was very clean and excellent location! even though it's not part of resort the only thing you really miss out on just the pool, and who needs a tour when the ocean is just steps away? The owners graciously offer kayaks to use that you don't have to worry about missing out on availability! Even though you aren't part of the resort everyone is very friendly, and there are three restaurants within very short walking distance. Carol was so very helpful quick to answer any questions I had including a restaurant recommendation. Very gracious hosts indeed! They even had arranged a taxi to be waiting for us when our plane landed at the Exuma Airport!
