What I have to say to this is look at the rest of our reviews. They started in on me the minute that they walked in with a spider lives here and then kept going with the excuses. They never sent photos and left without giving us a chance to make any of it right. By the fifth reason they couldn’t stay at our residence came across, I told them to take it up with VRBO. Feces in the living room, come on. We don’t even allow pets.

We have back to back 5 star reviews, and if we have issues we fix them. We have electronic locks, the code is sent to you the day before check in. I am incredibly sorry the guest found it confusing, but I am unsure how to make it less confusing. It says its an electronic lock on the ad, on the check in instructions, and we have a old school lockbox there incase the electronic lock malfunctions. Its so people don't get locked out. I have learned this the hard way by not having a backup to the technology. We've had people end up waiting for a locksmith in the cold. The guest me pictures of a bug at 10:30 pm stating they may not be able to sleep. I apologized for it and offered for the cleaner to come back. At checkout she started asking for compensation after staying the entire time. We do try our best to make sure our properties are great for every guest, but things get broken and we aren't told. Sometimes we don't have time to fix them on turnover. Its either let someone stay with a broken handle or cancel their reservation. Most people would opt for staying vs canceling. I am sorry she had such a negative experience. We won't be held hostage by a guest telling me that they would be able to reflect it in their review if I gave them compensation. That is not at all cool. If you want a refund, ask for one, don't make passive aggressive threats.We will fix or replace the broken items. This is an outlier and not representative of our properties overall.
