IM HAUS

Dieses gemütliche Cottage am Michigansee ist einladend und heimelig, so wie es ein Strandhaus sein sollte.

Die untere Ebene verfügt über eine Küche, einen Wohnbereich, ein Schlafzimmer mit einem Queensize-Bett und ein Vollbad mit einer Duschkabine.

Die Treppe hinauf finden Sie den Hauptwohnbereich mit herrlichem Blick auf den See sowie eine voll ausgestattete Küche, einen Essbereich mit Platz für 4 Personen mit zusätzlichen Sitzgelegenheiten in der Snackbar, ein komfortables Wohnzimmer und jede Menge Platz zum Entspannen im Freien , einschließlich Gasgrill und Picknickplatz im Freien.

Die dritte Etage verfügt über 4 Schlafzimmer und ein Vollbad.

SCHLAFEN

Dieses Cottage bietet Platz für 10 Personen und ist dank seiner einzigartigen Aufteilung perfekt für Reisen mit mehreren Generationen geeignet.

Im Erdgeschoss befindet sich ein Schlafzimmer mit einem Queensize-Bett.

Der dritte Stock verfügt über 4 Schlafzimmer. Die ersten beiden Schlafzimmer haben Queen-Size-Betten und die anderen beiden Schlafzimmer haben jeweils 2 Sätze Einzelbetten.

Die Küche verfügt über eine Snackbar mit viel Stauraum und allen Geräten. Das Esszimmer befindet sich direkt neben der Küche und bietet Platz für 4 Personen sowie zusätzliche Sitzgelegenheiten in der Snackbar.

Genießen Sie Ihre Essenszeit draußen auf der großen Terrasse und genießen Sie die atemberaubende Aussicht. Diese Unterkunft befindet sich auf einem Hügel und ist der perfekte Ort, um den Sommersonnenuntergang am Michigansee zu beobachten!

Good views, but a bit of a dump

The views are great, and main living room is pretty nice. However, the couches are uncomfortable, the furniture is battered, and the kitchen is old and grimy. The worst part is the bathrooms which are super-dated, crumbling, and barely functional. Overall, the place is well-located and livable, but just be aware that it hasn't been updated in a long time.

Soccer Beach Vacation

This is located only a block from the beach which was perfect for us. We could easily walk to the beach everyday and come back for lunch and not have to carry everything with us. We would for sure stay here again!

Memorial Day weekend

We had a group of 10 that came into town from all over the state for the weekend. There was plenty of room for everyone and the inside is even nicer than the pictures show! We were bummed that the parking lot wasn’t available but the property manager did a great job reaching out to the neighbors to get the parking situation handled! Overall the place was awesome and the 5 minute walk to the beach was awesome. About a mile long walk to downtown which wasn’t bad either. 10/10 experience and weekend!

The Perfect Location!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hilltop property. The location (just up the block from the beach/Grand Haven State Park) and view were absolutely perfect! Walking downtown was easy and relatively quick (10-15 minutes, depending on your pace).Given the location on a hill, we knew that there would be some stairs to climb. If you have older members of your guest group, I would recommend using the back stairs off the additional parking in the shared driveway. Even then, by the end of our stay our older family members were struggling a bit, so something to keep in mind.Considering that this is an older property, which shows a little wear and tear, we were very happy with all of the accommodations and didn't have any problems/concerns. The only minor issue that we had is low water pressure in the upstairs bathroom, but again given the location I'm not sure how much that could be remedied.Overall, a great stay at a really fun property. For our next trip to Grand Haven we will probably look for something a little different to better accommodate our older family members, but it will definitely be an Unsalted property!

Very nice home. I only have one advise. Update the outlets as our cords fit very loosely. But it didn’t detract from the experience. I would rent this home again next year if we get lucky. BTW the gas for the grill was empty so we picked up an exchange tank so the next family has a full tank.

Nice location but….

The location is great, just know going into it that the house is old and creaky. The water drains slow at all of the sinks, showers and toilets. Seating is not suited for large groups and not very comfortable. Not recommended for elderly or small children.

The only reason I gave it 1 star was because of the view and location. Don’t let the pictures on the site fool you. The house was in need of some serious renovations. The washer, dryer and ovens (there are 2, 1 upstairs and 1 down) were all not working. The kitchen was not well stocked. All the cabinet doors in the kitchen and bathroom were barely hanging on. You couldn’t store anything in the cabinets because they were so gross. The house was not clean. The shower curtain in the very old bathroom upstairs had mold all over it. There was dust buildup all along the baseboards. And don’t think of walking barefoot in the house unless you want very dirty feet. None of the bedrooms had locks on the doors and the doors barely stayed closed. The description says A/C but the units did not cool the house at all. This really could be a great place if they knocked it down and rebuilt it. It’s way too old! Luckily in lieu of the accommodations we had an amazing week with family.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family of 5 had plenty of room to spread out and had a great experience at this rental. Very close to walk to so much in the area, or just chill on the deck and enjoying the great view. With 2 runners in the family, they could not have felt safer running anywhere in the area, no matter the time and great parks not far. Everyone in Grand Haven was so very nice. Updated furniture was great. We had deer visiting daily, a turkey and her 5 babies and black squirrels daily too, which was so great being in a neighborhood 1 block from the lake. Lots of foot/bike traffic to tackle the steep hill of the house location. There was a few minor issues that arose, but nothing big and Unsalted Vacations was on top of it as soon as I informed them and they kept me updated. The management company was excellent! When trying to bake in the upstairs oven, very hard to tell what the temperature was as the dial has no numbers to tell. Luckily, there was an oven thermometer in the drawer that I used to help monitor the temperature. Water pressure is a little low too, so hard for 2 to shower at the same time, but not a big deal. The hot water temperature was plentiful, as were bath towels. Could use a pizza pan and nicer cookie sheet, as well as some normal sized drinking glasses in the kitchen, again, not a deal breaker, just a suggestion down the road. Lots of stairs so you will get your exercise in this house, a nice bonus! Have already recommended this house to friends!! Would love to come back again! Thank you for allowing us to rent your lovely home! Perfect getaway, especially during these crazy times we are having!

This place is unsafe to stay in. I have many pictures.

Black mold in the one shower, rotting wood holding up a roof, uncovered light fixtures, crack in the driveway that is wide enough to fit an adult foot, curtains touching the baseboard heaters, coming off its foundation to name a few safety issues. Many other maintenance issues that are not “pop up” issues. This place should be inspected immediately before another family rents it.

Rating Details: The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: For an expensive beach access home, it was very odd there was only one roll of toilet paper for a 3 night stay for six people. Why skip on something so affordable? In addition, it was virtually impossible to find any TP in town. There are no stores that sell it within walking distance. If you plan on staying here and paying top price, be sure to plan and bring your own toilet paper!

Nice View - Needs Updates

Great View of the water .. but this place needs some real TLC. Dining room chairs all need bolts from legs to seats - couple of miss haps. Cabnet doors all in bad shape. Rear screen door latch has no spring to keep it latched and the wind blew it all the open all night. Multiple tripping hazards on all the steps - lower wooden stair railing falling off. ... but Great View : )

Hilltop Getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is awesome although would not recommend to older people or even very young children there is a lot of unevenness in the yard. Some general maintenance would go a long way for this property. The view is awesome but all the shrubbery around the home needs to be groomed there are a lot of uneven patio blocks and stairs and handrails need attention. ( shrubbery growing up under the front stairs could cause trip hazards) The inside is very very dated but you don’t really spend a lot of time indoors anyways. We read previous reviews and brought our own circulating fans which worked pretty good with the existing air conditioning units. Owner should invest in some blinds for the main level as the sun really heats it up in there during the day. We weren’t that impressed with housekeeping as the silverware trays had crumbs and syrup or ketchup or something on them so we had to clean all that. When searching for a dropped pill on the floor, found a whole pop tarts and some other garbage under bed. The downstairs air conditioner didn’t seem to be operating very well so we looked at the filter which was filthy. Just seems like basic housekeeping checks weren’t being done. Fortunately these type of issues can be rectified. All had a good time and overall I would recommend this home. Just know what you’re getting into regarding the location being on a very steep hill.

Location is AMAZING, house is a little worn

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We used to live in Grand Haven, so we were excited to spend some time here and show our kids the town that we fell in love in. The location was AMAZING. The views are incredible. The house.....hmmmm. Let me say that the house was really clean. Thank you for that, as it went a long way! The beds were comfortable and the sheets/blankets were soft and pleasant. The pillows were a bit flimsy, but I know it is a rental and if you have nice pillows they have a tendency to grow legs and leave with renters. The house itself is old, worn and shifting on its foundation. Doors do not close, stairs are shifting and appear to be unsafe. The kitchen is hardly stocked, and very mismatched. I am so glad we planned to eat dinners out, as I would not have liked to cook in there. We had to buy coffee mugs cuz there was only 3 of them. We had a great time and for that I appreciate.

Hilltop Retreat needs work

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I will start off with the website description which certainly needs updating. Yes the home has a TV however nothing was specified that it can only be used with a subscription to something. No normal cable. If you don't subscribe to something, you have no tv. Also not specified is the fact that there are only AC units, one on each floor. It certainly does not keep the middle or top floors cool, Sinks in bathroom downstairs and in bedroom upstairs do not drain well.. Maintenance was great and did what they could but it wasn't enough. The water pressure in the sinks and showers was very low if toilets were flushed. Cleaning took no notice to the coffee left in the coffee pot from the previous renters. Also left the fire pit and charcoal grill not empty. Socks were left on the ground in the yard. Animals are running in the walls downstairs. Ants are in both kitchens. There are no degree numbers on the upstairs stove so you do not know what temp you are setting it on. Garbage is suppose to go in the can but no can was there. Maintenance came and took it. Dishwasher detergent was left with your starter package and instructions tell you to start it before leaving, however there is no dishwasher. There needs to be much better descriptions of the property so renters know what they are in for.

We'll take this into our notes and use it for the future. This was a newer addition and have had good feedback from other renters, but we appreciate your feedback. We hope we get the chance to host you again whether thats in Hilltop Retreat or another unit.

Great location

Great location, house needs some updates (bathrooms, kitchen, deck, etc.) Also needs better AC units, but it was great for our family getaway! We had a great time, and the view was excellent!
