Welcome Aboard! “The Boathouse” is a beautiful, waterfront cottage on Mona Lake. The 4 bedroom, 2 full bathroom cottage is updated and modern, with the feeling of being on a large yacht. Nautically inspired design, and yachtsman like touches, will inspire you to take the helm, drop anchor and enjoy a vacation like no other. On the shores edge there is a deck so close to the water you will swear you are riding on the aft of your personal yacht. The hot tub is available year round, relax in the warm water and enjoy the beautiful view. Winter is a great time to visit, Muskegon’s winter sports complex is a short drive. Enjoy X-Country skiing, or try your skills on the luge, then come back, jump in the spa and relax. Celebrate the sunrise and the sunset on our 2021 Bennington pontoon, included in your stay, (pontoon is only available June 1st through October 25th) the perfect way to let all the landlubber worries fade away. The “Boathouse” has 4 bedrooms, 1 on the main level and 3 upstairs. Two of the upstairs quarters have balconies to relax and take in the lake breezes. There’s also a “head” on each floor with stand up showers, bath and hand towels are provided. The galley has all of your cooking and dining essentials to make delicious meals for your crew. Gather around the butcher block island to share fish stories or sit around our lakeside fire pit and reminisce about your memories of the past. We invite you to “set sail” on a vacation destination like no other, area attractions include Michigan’s Adventure theme park, world class beaches, beautiful Lake Michigan, gourmet restaurants, historic submarine, light houses, musical fountains, zip lines, and ice luges all await. Wonderful time with our family. The pontoon boat just completed our stay. Everything was clean and stocked with everything we might need. Fire ring with wood provided. Kayaks too. The owner was very available to explain our arrival and answer any questions. We hope to be able to come back next year.

Lovely last minute getaway

We came up for a long weekend getaway during the Fall and it was simply perfect. From extremely prompt and helpful responses throughout the process by property manager Kim as we planned a last minute getaway to the home having all the small details that make your stay more enjoyable to the extra bonus of having a pontoon boat on a gorgeous lake. Definitely be back!

Great place for family trip!

Property was exactly as pictured. Perfect spot for a family getaway woth our friends and family from Cjicago. Two families with 4 kids and the place was perfect. Good location on the lake and close to any stores (Meijer, sbux, etc). Very nice boat was a nice benefit also!

Relaxing Getaway

We had such an amazing stay! The house was very clean, views were beautiful, and the hot tub and boat were great for our family. Having the boat on the property really made our trip. The hot tub is drained and refilled up before each guest arrives which is extremely nice. This was easily my family’s favorite vacation home we have booked. The hosts were also very responsive!

Great weekend getaway

Fabulous girls weekend!!!!

This property is amazing! The house was extremely clean, and the pontoon boat was wonderful! We loved the fans in all of the bedrooms, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The layout of the house is PERFECT for hanging out and having fun. The kitchen had everything we could ask for and the outdoor living space is lovely! The neighbors were friendly, and we felt VERY safe. We had the PERFECT weekend!!!

Mona Lake House

This was our second stay at this property. The location can’t be beat. The house is cozy, clean, well maintained and has anything you will need. The hosts are so friendly and helpful if any problem arises, however we had a perfect stay. The lake and pontoon are worth staying here alone, but you’ll love the house as well. We are already looking forward to our next stay here!

September getaway and family time

Beautiful Beach House!

Couldn’t have been better!!!

Sibling get-away

This was the perfect place for 4 senior siblings to get together for a fairly quiet 4 day reunion, enjoy a peaceful setting on the lake and have recreational amenities close to the city. We would have enjoyed the lake, fire pit, boat, and hot tub if the weather had not turned very cold and rainy.

Great find on the lake with a beautiful boat!

Don't look any where else in the Muskegon, Norton Shores area! This was a beautiful home, easy to communicate with the host, (so thoughtful), very clean home, has all utensils, cleaning products and even spices for your use. They even had a high chair and pack n play for the baby. It's a beautiful home, no brainer when looking for a peaceful place on a lake!!

Nice stay over July 4

House was very clean. The outside patio was indispensable for family meals for 5. The pontoon boat was in great shape and served us well for exploring the lake and finding swim spots. Lakeside location was terrific, although the neighborhood was a bit close together. We had terrific weather and the air conditioning helped during the heat of the day. Fire pit and hot tub are provided evening activities. Fun week!

Amazing Getaway

The Lake House was perfect from start to finish. I am very particular for clean and it was extremely clean. The lake was beautiful and the boat made the weekend. Walking out and spending the days and evening on Mona Lake was just what our family needed. It was so peaceful. We can not say enough good about this place. The owners were great to respond and so accommodating. This place will not disappoint. We are looking forward to our next weekend at The Lake House.
