Great property management company, very responsive. Property and unit both have some deferred maintenance which is overdue - would benefit from a fresh coat of paint etc… That said, great location with convenient access to the beach.

Great location

Loved the unit and it’s location to everything. We walked everywhere. I would have given it a total of 5 stars but dishes were dirty and the carpets had not been vacuumed properly.

Fantastic beach vacation!

We loved our stay in this Solana Beach condo. It was right on the water with fabulous views and ocean beaches. Restaurants, shops and live music were an easy walk away. The condo was well appointed and had everything we needed for our stay. June was a great time for us to go. The weather is a little gloomy which we didn't mind since we're from Arizona and get plenty of summer sun here, and the positive of that is that it's not quite peak tourist season, so it wasn't crowded on the beach and we had no trouble getting into restaurants. We enjoyed it so much that we've already booked again for next year.

April Vacation

The pictures on VRBO tell the whole story. The property is oceanfront with an unobstructed view of the ocean. My wife and I appreciated the spaciousness of the property. Before we arrived we didn’t care for the idea of picking up the keys from the property manager but this was a godsend. There is a gate for both the building and garage and some direction on how to get around the property was much appreciated. The inside of the property is not fancy but very functional. If we go to Southern California next year we will try to rent this property again.

Location, location, location!

This condo is in an ideal spot in the town of Solana Beach. The views of the Pacific are breathtaking, and the complex is lovely with the pools, tennis and hot tubs. I love the condo itself for size and layout. I will definitely recommend it to friends and family, and hope to stay there again some day. My only minor complaint is that it seemed there was a quick clean before our arrival, and maybe a little more attention to detail (kitchen floor, front steps, bathrooms) would have been nicer. The kitchen has most of the necessities for making simple meals. And Stubbs property management were very helpful with our few questions. Solana is perfectly located to San Diego and all the hiking, shopping, dining and other towns along the coast. It was our first visit in San Diego and having this condo as a home base was perfect! Thank you!!

Focus on the Awesome Views!

Pros: The views, beach access and surrounding shops & restaurants are the best! The unit had plenty of room for our family of 3 adults and 2 kids with 2 cars. We had a very good getaway! Cons: it’s an older condo, a little drafty. The gas fireplace was our main heat source on cold mornings, romantic but not our familiar central heat! Bring slippers & sweaters. The beds were just ok. The kitchen has plenty of dishes and cookware, although it’s all dated and worn. Tips: we had a hard time finding some things like pillowcases, towels, tall trash can; check the dryer and all closets, not just the logical places! 🤣

The property was clean, and the views and sounds of the ocean were amazing! The kitchen was well stocked with pots & pans, dishes, cooking utensils etc. The customer service from the management company across the street was excellent! It was easy to borrow beach gear from there for the week. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice relaxing beach get away. This was our first time to Solana Beach (we usually go to Mission or Pacific Beach) and this was so quiet, with no crowds, even on the weekend. That was wonderful! We will be back!

Seascape Fortnight

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, we had a good experience at Seascape Sur. Our top floor oceanfront unit had a wonderful view, easy access to the beach, and the grounds at Seascape were very well-kept. The twin mattresses in bedroom #2 could use an upgrade, especially if used by adults. Also note that there is no air conditioning (as stated in the description). It was only an issue for a couple of days, and there was a cool breeze off the ocean every evening. This was our second visit with Stubbs, and we have found them to be great to work with, and will very likely work with them again, especially since we like the Solana Beach area.

Beautiful view and convenient

Was very nice for our family of four! We arrived on a Friday and left on a Friday. Husband and I had our own bathroom and space and our adult children had their own! Bed in master was fabulous but beds in second bedroom were hard and could feel springs in them. Probably ok for younger kids but adult girls was not comfortable. View from balcony was fabulous! Ants became a problem around Monday evening when they showed up in the kitchen. There were already ant bait traps in the unit so they were aware. Over the next few days they showed up big time in master bath. At least they were small and not the big black ones that bite like we have in ND!! 🙂 overall pleasant stay and would recommend.

Beautiful view but outdated

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First of all, you can’t beat the location or view! We would stay here again just for the view. We loved opening the sliding doors in the morning and evening and listening to the waves in the ocean. The screen doors were not even on the track when we arrived. My husband managed to put them on the track but they didn’t slide either because of old age or sand. Towels were provided but there were no wash cloths. For being a beach house, there were no beach chairs or toys which was very disappointing. There was no toaster as advertised but there was a toaster oven. Very limited silverware so we felt like we had to run the dishwasher almost every day. We ran out of hand soap in the kitchen after the second day. We loved staying here for the location and view but just know before booking that this rental is lacking amenities.

Hello Megan, For those units that do not keep beach equipment onsite, we do have some at our office available for guests. We would have been happy to loan you chairs and toys as well as silverware and hand soap. Because of the proximity to the ocean, the screen doors do tend to get a bit corroded. Beautiful and safe!

Overall, I was very impressed with this condo. It had the most beautiful ocean view, comfortable beds, nice living room with a TV. Most importantly, this area was safe. It's a gated community and keys are required to access the garages and pool areas. As a young woman who is travelling, this is extremely important to me. Additionally, I was so impressed with my ability to efficiently work remotely. The wifi on my laptop was perfect and allowed me to get work done. The neighborhood is so peaceful. Communication with Stubbs' rental property was great. They were so responsive and even provided me with extra materials when I needed them. They addressed all of my concerns in a timely manner, which I appreciate so much (i.e. wifi connection, ants). Cons: I was not satisfied with the dirty dishes upon entering the condo. In order to feel comfortable, I had to hand wash the dishes prior to using them. I was shocked when I picked up a piece of clothing, I had left on a shelf in the master bedroom closet and saw a swarm of ants crawling underneath it. Additionally, the wifi in the master bedroom was extremely slow. Every time I tried to use my phone in the condo, it would take a long time to load information. Lastly, the flimsy blinds in the living room (that open up to the ocean view) were flimsy and kept falling. It was an inconvenience opening these blinds. If these things were fixed, this place would be a fairyland.
