Peaceful place

Yves and Laurence were very helpful and made suggestions for local walks and activities. Pool was great and needed as +42 degrees! Great place to relax and unwind.

A delightful appartment to rest or be active in the beautiful Cevennes

Perfectly sited appartment with stunning views to the wooded hillsides across the Leuch valley. Well equipped and very comfortable. The pool is of large size, private and offers further open views. The appartment is tranquil yet just a few minutes walk from Chamborigaud village for bakery, shops, restaurants and the market. There is plenty to do or simply relax. The cycling is awesome with quiet smooth roads, mountain views and impressive scenery. We went to a local lake for water sports and swimming, did Via Ferrata, wild gorge swimming, several short hikes and visited the Pont du Gard. M Andre was very hospitable and attentive to our needs from booking, to providing information on the area and even assisting us when our travel to France from the UK went awry due to an airline problem. Definitely recommended for tranquillity, scenery, culture and outdoor activities. A perfect base for a stay in the Cevennes!

Perfect Holiday Retreat

Just returned from this beautiful place and had a lovely holiday. Yves and Laurance were so friendly and helpful yet not intrusive. The apartment was much bigger than it looked in the images and comfortably housed 2 adults and 2 teenagers, the beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed and more, the air conditioning was a bonus. A beautiful big pool was a dream in the hot weather and although it was shared with another family, we didn't really see them so it was more or less ours for the week, there is a great seating area in the day time or evening too. We stayed 9 days and it is a truly beautiful quiet spot with amazing views and lots in the area to do. You need a car as some things are a bit of a drive. We can recommend the local restaurants the food was good and staff very friendly. Not much English is spoken but loved that and got by with our basic French very well as everyone we met was so friendly. Small shops selling most things and a lovely baker in the immediate area but a bit of a drive to a bigger supermarket (half hour). We really enjoyed the local river swimming, a day kayaking, the caves de Salamandres, and a trip to Nimes on the train which was just over an hour away. A busy holiday but a perfect break in perfect tranquility. We would definitely go back again!

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt im Ferienhaus in Chamborigaud

+ Ausstattung der Wohnung sehr gut + In der Küche war alles vorhanden was man braucht + Klimaanlage ist top! + Pool ist sehr schön + Betten sehr gut - TV: leider keine deutschen Fernsehsender (obwohl das über Satellit empfangbar sein sollte) - sehr viele Schnaken raubten uns etwas den Schlaf

Havre de paix proche de tout

Accueil généreux, maison et extérieurs décorés avec goût. La région est magnifique pour ceux qui aiment le moyenne montagne, se baigner dans les, rivières, découvrir des petits villages nichés au cœur des falaises. La maison elle même est située dans un écrin de verdure, comme accrochée à la roche et en même temps tout proche d’un village qui dispose de toutes les commodités. C’est mieux en vrai que sur les photos! Un dernier mot pour Yves, notre hôte, que je remercie pour sa disponibilité et gentillesse.

Notre positionnement géographique nous permet de bénéficier de la nature et des multiples activités en toutes saisons. Les randonnées, les baignades, les champignons, les châtaignes et les nombreuses grottes, gorges, vallées, plateaux apportent la nature, les vrais plaisirs au coeur de la nature et des multiples paysages. Magnifique séjour - calme, ressourcement !

Le gîte loué par Yves est super : belles pierres, vue splendide, confortable et bon équipement ! La propriété est magnifiquement bien rénové dans le style authentique des maisons cévenoles. La piscine est un plus certain, les enfants ont particulièrement bien apprécié ;-) Les environs sont reposants (rivières, marchés, visites de châteaux, grottes). Yves est à l'écoute tout en restant discret, tout simplement au top ! Nous avons passé un super séjour.

Excellent séjour

Nous avons passé 15 jours de vacances formidables. La description de la location est conforme à ce qu'on a pu trouvé à notre arrivée. Yves et Laurence sont des hôtes exceptionnels. Présents mais discrets, nous donne de bons conseils pour les visites et les bons tuyaux. La piscine est formidable. A partagée avec 3 autres locations mais assez grande pour nous tous. Bouteille de rosé au frais et confiture maison à l'arrivée et apero d'accueil. Merci encore Yves et Laurence pour nous avoir permis de passer de bonnes vacances. Et je n'oublie pas notre maître nageur préféré Okay.

Spacieux et agréable

Nous avons passer un très agréable séjour. Le gite est spacieux, grand et bien équipé. L'extérieur bénéficie d'une végétation splendide et d'une piscine taille remarquable. Sans oublié l'accueil et la gentillesse de Yves et Laurence qui est fort appréciable.

Détente au coeur de la nature

Belle propriété au sein d'une nature généreuse. Très bon accueil: climatisation et frigos branchés (avec une bouteille de rosé et une bouteille d'eau en guise de bienvenue en plus d'une confiture maison); lits faits à l'arrivée. Authentic French stay in cosy appartment

We stayed at monsieur Yves' for 1 week with our kids age 14 and 16. The combination of the great views, the nice appartment, the 'wow' swimmingpool and the warm welcome of the owners made this an excellent week in the Cévennes. The appartment is spacious enough for 4, our kids loved to have the big room for themselves. The owners rent also a small house on the same premisses, so you sometimes share the pool with another family. The small village of Chamborigaud is at 1.5 km walkingdistance and has 2 backery stores, a butchershop, 3 small shops for groceries, a pizza-take-away and 3 restaurants with tasty french basic cuisine. The athmosphere is authentic French, with locals bathing in the river (at 400 meters!) and having a coffee in the village. There is a small market on sundaymorning. We visited Nîmes by train from the trainstation in Chamborigaud and took the car to the Pont du Gard. My husband enjoyed climbing some 'cols' by bike and there are several walkingtrails. To get there, the last 5 minutes of the way are the hardest ones, as the houses at Poujol have no housenumber :-) So once you are on the road next to the river Luech, follow it for 1 km, then it turns to the left and you arrive at a small junction. Do not go to Maisonneuve but keep right for 200 meters, then at the second small junction take the 'dead-end' street on the left, and look for the 3th gate on the left (with big green metal fence). The house of the owners is on the top, so you drive all the way up, keep left and you should reach your destination.

Calme et tranquilité

Des vacances au calme, dans une maison un peu isolée et c est tant mieux ! Pouvoir profiter de la piscine en toute tranquillité, toute la famille a adoré. Les hôtes sont charmants et très accueillants. Et pour couronner le tout peu de monde sur la route et sur nos lieux de visite...comme c est agréable !

Wonderful Family Time !

Situated on the hillside overlooking the pine covered hills .. amazing views over the area from the lounge... a10 Minute walk and your at the village with restaurants and tabac, grocerie sore etc.. also the river where locals swim and our children enjoyed time with fishing nets.. lots of wildlife spotted including kingfishers and heron... a couple of deer spots while driving too.. A great base for exploring the area .. amazing sites to explore in the National Park including Gorge do Ardèche and Gorge du Tarn ...to name but a few.. We have visited France many times and to date we would say this has been the most amazing scenery and stay .. The owners are very friendly but not intrusive .. lots of information provided..maps and travel guides that are free too use .. Andre also gave us an overview of the area which was very helpful. And at the end of an action packed day an amazing pool to swim and relax .., Hope to visit again as one week was just not enough! Large pool

A beautiful part of the world and wonderful hosts too!

We had a fantastic week here, relaxing by a lovely pool and enjoying both the heat and the views. It really is a beautiful part of the Cevennes. It was a little tricky to find (our sat nav took us to the wrong side of the river) despite Yves having supplied us with a detailed map in advance. Once we knew where the house was it did of course made perfect sense. However, Yves drove to rescue us and we followed him back - I forgot to ask if that had happened before but suspect it may have? Our apartment was the perfect size for the 4 of us, with an outside area in the sun for breakfast and a cooler area at the back in the shade for lunch. The views were amazing and aircon much appreciated! Although there isn't a big supermarket close by, the village had everything we needed; mini market, boulangerie, butchers, wine shop and even a Sunday market. The Cevennes restaurant on the main street served good simple French food (you need to book) and there were a couple of bars too. Yves and Laurence were perfect hosts, we rarely saw them but when we did it was easy and relaxed and they were always available to answer questions/offer advice when we needed it. They didn't even mind the children's shrieks of joy whilst playing in the pool which is always a bonus. Whilst there, another family of 4 were staying in a house below ours. The kids had a great time together and the pool was plenty big enough for us all. We very much hope to return for a longer trip next year so that we have a bit more time to explore the local rivers and take a train to Nimes - that's if we can drag ourselves away from that pool! Séjour parfait , le logement est impeccable et l accueil chaleureux et tout en discrétion . A conseiller vraiment pour ceux qui désirent visiter cette très belle région des Cévennes .

Très bon séjour.Région magnifique

Excellent accueil de la part des propriétaires .La location était très agréable et conforme aux indications.Pouvoir nager seule dans la tres belle piscine au milieu des Cevennes a été un véritable luxe.Nous recommandons vivement cette location idéale pour se ressourcer et profiter de tous les attraits de la région.

Le calme et la beauté des Cevennes

Détaché pendant 2 mois sur un chantier proche, j'ai pu pleinement profiter de ce lieu pour y trouver un calme permanent ainsi qu'une vue exceptionnelle dont on ne se lasse jamais. Ce logement tout confort ma permis de trouver le repos que je recherchais tout en alliant le côté pratique professionnel (Wi-Fi de très bonne qualité ). De plus, toutes les commodités se trouvent à proximité. En résumé, je conseille vivement cet endroit qui doit prendre encore une autre ampleur lors d'un séjour de vacances.

logement agréable

logement bien placé sur 3 départements, Propriétaire sympathique et accueillant. Nous avons pu partager la piscine du propriétaire en toute liberté et sans vis à vis.Pour les motards coin idéal, nous avons pu garer nos motos dans un garage sur un terrain fermé de la propriété. l'endroit est calme.

Dés le premier accueil de motards en mai dernier nous avions mis à disposition un garage de 50m2 qui avait permis l'entretien de plusieurs motos cross. Vous avez apprécié ce grand garage pour l'abri et la mise en sécurité de vos motos et j'en suis heureux. Merci pour votre appréciation sur votre séjour sur ce mois de septembre 2016. Nous essayons de vous accompagner selon vos besoins y compris avec la piscine de 18m*6m. Nb:Nous pouvons aussi mettre plusieurs hébergements à votre disposition sur le même site. Merci de souligner tous ces points y compris le positionnement à la croisée de plusieurs départements qui vous a permis de découvrir la bambouseraie, la base nautique et les troupeaux de bisons. En Cévennes, vous êtes dans le vrai. Vous serez les Bienvenus pour un prochain séjour cévenol par exemple lors des sorties des cèpes dans les châtaigneraies.
