Keylor was great with any questions we had. Pictures were accurate. Neighborhood was safe and close to town. Only thing we wished we had was a washer and dryer.

Amazing Home, Highly Recommend!!!

The home is wonderful and the property is beautiful!!!Having this many bedrooms really makes things easy with a bigger group. Our kids were each able to grab their own room and we didn’t have to listen to any bickering. The home and neighborhood felt very secure and it is very convenient to town. You also have a small supermarket just down the street.The pool was beautiful and a great place to hang out in the evening we were done with any tours or activities

Nice Place to ‘Cool’ Down

The host was great and communicated quickly as needed. The home was well kept and the bedroom A/C units were a nice touch to the end of the day. We loved cooling off in the pool each evening and the BBQ pit was an unexpected nice touch. Plenty of space to move around the entire house.

Good location - but not well maintained

We stayed here as a big group of 10 and the property had enough rooms and beds for all of us and then some. The pool filter didn’t work till last evening of our stay. There was one remote for multiple AC units on a floor. The host was responsive and got us towels and other things that we asked for.

Great stay

Great rustic house in La Fortuna. Pool was great! And the air conditioning cooled down the place quick. House is located in a neighborhood away from downtown but it was easy enough to take an Uber. Communication with the manager was easy and they got supplies over to me quickly. Mary’s bbq down the street was an easy walk, and there are some little stores. This house was perfect for our group of 14 over the Easter holiday. Thank you again!!

Excellent property—anticipate slow host response

Excellent home and location. It worked well for 3 children, 2 teens, and 4 adults. Keylor was helpful as a host but it took sometimes days to get responses to questions—like how to get into the home. We finally got word from him on our way to the home about the lock box.

Great location/pool

The house was in a residential area in La Fortuna. It is in a great location and the pool/outdoor area is very nice. There is a gate to property that can be locked and we felt very safe. There is not a washer/dryer at this property and there are definitely not towels/washcloths/dishtowels. The shower heads were also a bit worrisome as there were exposed wires on them. We did not have hot water but just made the best of it.

Loved La Fortuna!

The house was great. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 stars is that the mattresses were not comfortable. Could easily be solved by adding a memory foam mattress topper. It would also be.nice to have an oven as I like to bake, but that’s probably not a big deal to most. Really nice remodel done recently and it looks great! Kids loved the pool... Keylor communicated well with us. Thanks!

Good location. The house is tired

The property is in need of many upgrades. The electrical outlets didn’t all work, the plumbing in that toilets needed attention for the first 3 days. The kitchen wasn’t suitable for cooking as the pots and pans were old and needed to be replaced. The toaster and blender didn’t work, although the blender was replaced promptly. The pool was great and location was good. You really will need a car to stay here. A printed guide would have been helpful telling us how to turn on patio lights etc. With some work it would be amazing. Not as it is currently though.

Could have been nice but was a huge disappointment

The pictures promise a great location and the conversations with the host were nice. But once you find your house in a not so nice surrounding you will be totally disappointed. The area is not nice, and the whole night there are hundreds of dogs barking. The view onto the vulcano is very small - you can see the tip between concrete walls and steel roofs of the neighbour. The house is dark, needs some repairs everywhere and has some nice bugs. We could arrange our week there and accepted it but the best came at the end. Unfortunately we never got our deposit payment back and neither the host not vrbo were willing to support us. For us this was the last vacation with this host and also with vrbo. Not recommended!!!

Perfect Spot for a Family Trip

Not what we expected!

Home had poor lighting. There were roaches throughout home. Shower in Master sprays on the wall and you can’t rinse yourself. No hot water. Garbage was full and had not been picked up before or after our stay. No towels for pool nor shower. Toilets didn’t flush. Refrigerator has all the shelves falling apart. No ice at all. Dishes were filthy and glasses had cracks. Neighbors had music on until 6 am on Friday and Saturday. Was very disappointed!

Beautiful Upper deck for the sunrise!

Family of 6 celebrating a 30th Birthday. It was exactly what the pictures show and more! Great art and furniture, comfortable beds and enough room for all of us! Pool was great, lovely tons for dinner. We loved it! Thank you!

Great stay

The place was nice and conveniently located only minutes from downtown. I gave it five because of the overall value of having a 5-bedroom place. The only drawbacks were no hot water and bring your own pillows. The pool was excellent. The balcony gave you a great View of the Arenal Volcano on a clear day. Wonderfully laid-back.

Costa Rica adventure

We had some difficulty locating the property, but once found, we truly enjoyed our stay. The house is not extremely large, but there were plenty of beds for everyone in our two large families. The home was fairly clean although there are some ant problems which is to be expected in a tropical location. The pool and patio area are beautiful, I am only sad that our schedule was too tight to really enjoy it. We had a few incidents (locked bedroom doors late at night) which required immediate attention, and the property manager was extremely prompt in coming to our rescue. There are a few minor repairs that need to be made with some leaky plumbing and ensuring that all automatically locking doors have keys present on the property at all times. The kitchen could use a greater variety of dishes, but other than that, the home is comfortable and in a convenient location for La Fortuna.

A little hard to find but big enough for our family

We loved the area of La Fortuna it was hard to find a place for 10 people so I was pretty excited when I found this one. It has 5 bedrooms with several beds which could fit us all. The photos looked a little different than the actual place. It seemed smaller than the photos and darker. But yes you can see the volcano! The pool was the best part. There were a lot of bugs and especially mosquitos. We used repellant but still seemed to get bites ever night. There is no AC in the main part of the house but the rooms all had nice AC. There were a lot of neighborhood dogs that would bark at night and the neighbors were doing some construction that was loud in the mornings. But hopefully that is done by the next guest! The kitchen was well stocked with blender, microwave, stove and pots and pans and dishes that we could use. The fridge was also nice and big. The location was super hard to find but we worked with the host to find it. It is not close walking distance to shops and on a dirt road so be sure to have a car. The TV cable did not work and the host tried to fix it but did not during our stay but she plans to get it fixed soon. The wifi was good which my husband needed for work. It was a good place for big groups but wish it was more quiet and less bugs but other than that it was fine and the kids loved the pool!

La Fortuna home

Overall a decent home a short 5 minute drive from La Fortuna. Home is in residential neighborhood which was a bit deceiving from listing so there were late nights from surrounding homes & early mornings with construction next door the entire trip. The home itself is a large home, but run down and not very clean. The living area including kitchen was very dark and there was only a wicker couch so you couldn't sit any more than two people inside. We spent the majority of the trip outside by the pool when we weren't off doing excursions which was very nice, but the storm the second night cut off all the power outside so we didn't have any light. Property Mng was extremely nice & easy to work with, but will definitely not be back because of the overall condition of home. Not worth the money in my opinion.
