Das geräumige Wohn- / Esszimmer mit seinem reich verzierten Kamin und traditionellen Möbeln führt auf die ovale Terrasse. Kiefern umgeben die Terrasse, auf der sich ein Steinfont befindet - die ideale Kulisse für einen abendlichen Aperitif mit Blick auf den flammenden Ätna sowie ein Abendessen an diesen lauen Abenden. Die Zimmer sind alle einfach, aber komfortabel und farbenfroh eingerichtet. Die Fensterläden führen in den Vorgarten. Alternativ kann man sich im großen Pool hinter dem Haus abkühlen, wenn die sizilianische Sonne zu langweilig wird. Palmen, Avocados und Olivenbäume rund um den Pool spenden Schatten auf Teilen der Terrasse, von wo aus Sie einen atemberaubenden Blick auf das Meer und den Ätna genießen können. Wir glauben, dass Liebhaber von Sizilien und auch diejenigen, die die vielen Faszinationen dieser Insel noch nicht kennen, die Gelegenheit lieben werden, in diesem traditionellen klassischen Haus zu wohnen, das so einfach von so vielen beliebten Reisezielen aus zu erreichen ist.

Lovely Villa, our group was very happy. Close to Giardini Naxos, a little further to Taormina but close enough. Older house, up a windy, gated road through an orchard. Very friendly arrival and wonderful neighbor. The deck is super, great view of Etna. Great space for a big group, my only complaint was the dove who thought he/she was a rooster and needed to wake me up early in the morning a few times.

Everything was enjoyable about this remarkable old Sicilian casina which was evocative of the Italy that is becoming increasingly difficult to find. Our property manager, Alessio, made sure that questions or special requests were immediately and cheerly answered. Despite chilly rainy weather we used the villa as a departure point for the wide variety of destinations, restaurants, and historical sites throughout the region, including Etna, which smiles down on it from on high. A very special and unexpected surprise was a visit to the Giardini Victoria which Valeria’s sister Victoria has created on the property to preserve and celebrate the region’s spectacular agricultural and natural flora. The orange, lemon and grapefruit orchards were just beginning to bloom. One can only imagine the perfume they will be creating in the next few weeks! This may not be the best choice for those who are not familiar with Italy’s quirks and customs, but for those who are a special experience awaits!

Your Lovely home in Sicily

Valleria, We spent a wonderful week in September at your family home. I can say that I am typically a very picky traveler and only like authentic italian architecture; Your home has a wonderful feel and is filled with authentic family art and furniture which made us feel right at home. The gardens and the pool were very well kept. The pool was the perfect size for morning and evening laps. The olive groves leading to the house offer great privacy. A great place for a marvelous holiday

The villa is on a hillside with a secluded garden in a private estate and surrounded by fields and terraces of oranges. The pool area is great and we spent loads of time there. The house is spacious and delightful. Decorated tastefully in a shabby chic way. The bathrooms work but are functional rather than modern and having an evening barbecue on the spacious terrace with Mt Etna as backdrop is stunning. We used the cooking service twice and had good meals. I would definitely recommend this property. We were only 6 adults, if you were 10 it would be fine but the kitchen might be a bit busy and there would be some bathroom sharing but the sitting room and dining area and terrace are huge. As is the pool area. We had a marvelous time

I would just like to point out something very important to those who read that, since it is an ancient residence, the villa can accommodate up to 10 guests, including children and babies, as there are 5 bedrooms. In the house there are 4 working bathrooms that can comfortably serve for that maximum number of people. For this reason we do not accept requests for groups of more people.

We had a wonderful time here at the Villa. Valeria was a wonderful host, responsive to queries and always on hand if needed. The property itself was excellent and we loved spending time on the terrace and by the pool. We had a BBQ one evening and it was great sitting in the twilight eating outdoors both there and on the terrace. The rooms were lovely with the upper bedroom having a balcony and the lower rooms onto the front drive. The beach at Giardini Naxos is a 45 minute walk or 10 minute drive away both of which we did. the Best supermarket near by was the Deco, less than 10 minute drive away. it was a great place with which to explore Taormina, Etna and Syracuse, all of which we did. We would love at some point in the future. Highly recommend.

Super Royal Villa!

The Villa is one og a kind. It is almost as a small Castle, filled with old paitings of Counts. The Villa is very, very big and very nice decorated. It is very easy to be 2 families. The Villa has a very big terrasse, where we had breakfast and dinner and another terrasse next to the pool area where we had lunch. The poolarea is opposit the house and has great chair and a shade area. The pool is enormous. I can easily recommend this amazing and beautifull Villa. It is by far, the most fantastic place we have ever stayed in. The Villa is situated outside a small town, where you can by fresh bread at the american bakery. Taormina is very close, it takes about 15 min to drive there and you will enjoy the peace and quiet in the Mountains, once you have visited Taormina. We are totally pleased and satisfied with everything.

Unique Sicilian Experience

We were a family travelling with 3 kids and another family with kids and we found that the villa was perfect for our needs. We wanted a beautiful place to spend 2 weeks with our family and the villa was gorgeous and provided the best place for us to spend some amazing time together: the pool was big enough for everybody, the gorgeous orange and olive tree orchared provided the best place for walks, one of the terraces was built for a family barbeque and the other terrace provided us with an impressive view over Mount Etna as well as a spacious place to enjoy evenings with the family. The house is beautiful, full of a rich history and really elegant. Moreover, the host is very discrete, however close enough to be there whenever we needed her. Also, she is a very pleasant person, with amazing stories, who truly provided us with an amazing experience. Overall, the villa gave us a real feel of a true Sicilian experience, something we will always remember and we already planned to come back and discover more of Sicily's treasures.

Everything as advertised.

Just want to say that the villa was beautiful. Very clean, very old and very good views from the patio. We watched mini eruptions of Mt Etna on two nights. The grounds have lots of beautiful flowers making it a pleasure to stroll around. We had three younger people with us so the pool was used on a daily basis. It was clean and very refreshing. Chef Maria was recommended to us by Valeria, she was amazing. We asked her to cook for us on two nights and the food was beyond good. She does not speak English, but we communicated through the wonders of Iphones. We would strongly recommend her. Also on the recommendation of Valeria, was the taxi service of Andrea and his father. There was nine of us staying at the villa and they never disappointed us. To and from the airport and every where else in between, even shopping for food and the great Sicilian wines. Andrea even helped bag the groceries. The only thing that was a little different at the villa was the downstairs bedrooms, you had to go through one to get to your bedroom, but we managed because we were all up early so as not to miss the day. Everyone was more perfect than the day before. We only had one week in Sicily, being there for our son's wedding in Taormina and the Villa Sant Andrea on the beach, so we did not get to see enough of Sicily. Einzigartige Villa in wunderschöner Lage

Das Haus ist liebevoll und detailreich renoviert, die Lage in der Obstplantage mit Blick auf den Ätna sicher einzigartig. Wir hatten genug Platz für alle 9 Personen. Sizilien von seiner besten Seite

Wir waren mit 3 Paaren und 3 fast erwachsenen Kindern im Juli 2018 in diesem schönen Haus. Die Anfahrt war dank guter Beschreibung einfach, wir wurden herzlich empfangen. Das Haus ist wunderschön, die Zimmer verteilen sich auf 2 Etagen, so dass auch für die jenigen, die Ruhe möchten genügend Rüchzugsorte vorhanden sind. Die Zimmer und Bäder sind sauber und wurden innerhalb des Zeitraumes 2 mal gereinigt. Die Terrasse mit Blick auf den Ätna ist ein Highlight, der Pool sehr gut zum schwimmen und entspannen geeignet und sehr sauber. Wir waren bisher schon 5 mal in der Region in den Sommerferien - die Unterkunft hat uns am besten gefallen. Valeria (die Gastgeberin) spricht sehr gut Englisch und ist sehr hilfsbereit und zuverlässig. Weiteres Highlight: die Möglichkeit im Haus kochen zu lassen, die gebuchten Menüs waren überragend, besser als in allen Restaurants vor Ort. Kurzum: Traumurlaub - wir kommen gerne wieder!. PS: ein paar scharfe Messer für den Tomatensalat zwischendurch fehlen in der Küche - ansonsten fehlt es an nichts, vielen Dank.

L’attenzione d’Alessio è stata meravigliosa, e stato molto accomodante e gentile ci a anche fatto la spesa il primo giorno e era sempre presto a rispondere alle nostre domande. Ci ha organizzato una bella passegiata in barca. La casa ha uno stile classico elegante e il giardino e piscina sono molto piacevole. La cucina è piccola ma non manca niente. Non è facile arrivare alla casa ne trovarla neanche col Waze e sarebbe buono avere una doccia in ogni bagno. Grazie per tutto Alessio!

Kære Stine tak for din anmeldelse! Jeg svarer, fordi jeg vil gerne påpege, at opvaskemaskinen ikke er gammel, men det er den anden, som jeg skiftede det sidste år. Desværre respekterer ikke alle gæster hus og apparater, som om de var hjemme, og vi kan ikke købe en ny opvaskemaskine hver uge, fordi nogen som nogle af din gruppe, for eksempel (som det faktisk skete under dit ophold!) Trykker på tændingsknappen for stærk eller åbner døren for voldsomt! For resten er jeg glad for, at du nød stedet og min villa!

A unique and elegant property

This villa is old, authentic, and charming, decorated with lovely furnishings and family oil portraits, set on a large citrus farm about a mile from Trappitello, with spectacular views of Mt Etna from the large patio. A few steps from the house is a sparkling swimming pool, clean and well cared for like everything else on this property. The owner Valeria was welcoming, made sure we were comfortable, and gave us vegetables and fruit from the farm. She also recommended the services of Andrea and Natale Pagano, who reliably provided all the transportation we needed during our 11 day stay. It was such a pleasure to return the the cool and quiet of the villa after long days of touring Mt Etna, Syracusa, Taormina, and Naxos. I'm very happy that we chose this lovely villa for our stay in Sicily.

Fabuous villa - we didn't want to leave!

An incredible villa and a hugely helpful host! The villa is even more amazing than it looks on the pictures! Such a beautiful setting - incredibly peaceful and near to the beach and Etna! Amazing view of Etna too. We did not tire of sitting on the many verandas admiring the view. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all of a very high standard and the living area too. Would thoroughly recommend and would love to come back every year!

Living like an Italian

Valeria, the owner could not have been more wonderful. The property was enchanting. I was traveling with my son, 2 grandchildren and my best friend and her husband, so the layout of bedrooms was perfect. If your group was all couples it might be chalanging because the first floor bedrooms consisted of 2 private rooms and 2 rooms which had to be walked through to get to the stairs. The Commen areas were wonderful, we imagined how wonderful it would have been to grow up there. We all rallied for coffee and breakfast in the well equipped kitchen, threw open the shutters to hear birds and look at an amazing vista. We would take our breakfast on the terrace with Mount Etna views (very relaxing). Sightseeing all day, and having one of the many incredible Italian dinners we retunied to gather in the salon for reviewing our days activities and an after dinner drink. On request Valeria arranged a home made meal for us one evening, which was lovely, very inexpensive, and an abundance of courses. It was wonderful coming home to the smells of pasta Norma cooking, one our favorite memories. I would suggest doing this early in your trip because of the amount of food for left overs. Both of my grandchildren were into photography, the house and property gave them an amazing canvas. I think the only negative were the linens, the towels and sheets needed to be kicked up a notch. Saying that we were not looking for anything too Americanized so we were ok with it. All in all we loved it! Thanks Valeria....

Lovely property, nicest host

The property is lovely and we really enjoyed the pool. While it is old, it is not run down. Valeria is lovely and a pleasure to deal with. She was responsive and quick to deal with minor issues. The location is wonderful and easy to get to Taormina or Catania or Siracusa or Noto. The terrazzo with views of Etna was great. Well equippedkitchen and modern reno on the bathrooms. Trapatello has all the amenities for buying food etc. Great restaurants within thirty minutes, usually fifteen. Highly recommend. Five bedrooms w large common areas.

Beautifull secret spot

Beautifull spot, we loved the pool and the terrace with view on the etna. the villa is big and cosy. Perfect location , quiet and et the same time only 15 min from taormina nicest beach and night life . Perfect for family . We really recommend this place!

charming traditional Sicily experience

We loved our stay here. The house is very traditional which was exactly what we wanted and as described. The terrace in particular was a delightful place to sit in the evenings especially as it was very very hot during our stay. Valeria was very helpful and sorted out small problems with air conditioning etc. We booked the cook on two nights and can't recommend enough - they produced two wonderful meals - well worth it and much better than eating out which was very pricey in August for 9 of us. If I was to suggest one improvement it would be better pillows. Not sure if my family is very fussy but all found them pretty uncomfortable! Lovely location - would have liked to walk more if it hadn't been so hot. Very convenient for beaches and Taormina. Thank you for great holiday!
