The accommodation was fabulous and the location was so beautiful and unique. I would caution that anyone with mobility issues (bad knees or hips included) will struggle with all the steps and hills. Paula arranged transportation for us which was a lifesaver when it canme to getting us as close as possible to the apartment. Nuno met us for check in and Carlos met us at check out. Great time for 8 people (sisters). One small suggestion is to have more pillows available, the quality of the one small pillow was fair . Muito Obrigada Paula and team

Given the high price point we were disappointed with our experience. There were big COCKROACHES in the unit! The host told us this is common in the area despite pest control but given the high price point for the place I don’t think it’s reasonable. We also killed a big centipede as well.Also, be warned that uber cannot drop you off in front of the unit due to its location. Lastly, there was no flexibility on being able to keep our bags for a later checkout which was inconvenient. Overall, the place was decent I just think it wasn’t good value for money!

We are sorry that some aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. Regarding the cockroaches, unfortunately this can occasionally occur in Lisbon during the warmer months, particularly in neighborhoods close to the river. We maintain a regular pest-control program and took immediate action as soon as the issue was reported. Despite preventive measures, insects can sometimes enter from the public drainage system or through open windows and doors. Regarding access, the listing clearly states that the property is located in a historic area with restricted vehicle access, which is part of the unique character of the neighborhood. As for luggage storage and late check-out (or early check in), we always do our best to accommodate such requests when they are made in advance. However, in this case the request was made only shortly before check-out, and unfortunately it was not possible to accommodate it due to arriving guests and our cleaning schedule

Great stay

Great apartment, very comfortable with everything you need for a stay. It was a little difficult getting there the first time, but great neighbourhood with lots of small shops, cafe and restaurants to try.

Fabulous apartment and location

We had a great stay at this property. It’s a beautifully renovated and well-appointed apartment that’s tucked in the center of Alfama. Having the large outdoor patio was a bonus for our group. We wish our stay was longer than 3 days, and if we return to Lisbon we will hope to come back to this apartment!

Best House Ever!

This was a wonderful place to stay while visiting Porto. There was more than enough space for all 7 of us. The cat Rita is super cute as well!

Great stay in Alfama

Great location in historic Alfama. Right in the middle of a neighborhood with narrow cobblestone streets where local still live. Property was great and we enjoyed the outside patio. Had a few hiccups with some drivers not being able to find the location, but otherwise great.

Beautiful property in the oldest area in Lisbon ( Alfama) be aware that there are lots of hills in this area( great exercise)! Plenty of room for 3 couples and an outside terrace to relax in after a long day of sightseeing. Stocked with all essentials you’ll need for the first few days. Check in was easy. We loved it!

We were right in the centre of a very old part of Lisbon in a typical ( very old ) building with so much character yet all the modern amenities. Everyone in our group of 7 loved the place. Highly recommended for people looking for a real Lisbon experience. While it is a little challenging being in an area with no motor vehicles, that was part of the charm of the unit and only added to our adventure. We saw so much as we traversed up and down the ancient cobblestone streets.

Wonderful Apartment in Alfama

We loved this apartment in the historic Alfama district. Spacious enough for 8 adults with a wonderful outdoor space to enjoy. Paula and Carlos were excellent to work with even given our very delayed arrival. The drivers they arranged went above and beyond for us. I would highly recommend a stay in this lovely apartment.

Beautiful stay in a historic area!

Excellent stay. Very smooth check in. Amazing location (not overly accessible but we had no issues with that!). Beds were comfortable, AC in every bedroom. Lots of bathrooms. Terrace is beautiful and large. Only couple small factors that we gave 4/5 for are cleanliness (couple bathrooms were not overly clean upon arrival) and some kitchen supplies (eg could use an oven mitt and slightly larger frying pan would be great).

Great location!

The property was lovely and in the historical neighborhood. We loved visiting Lisbon. We had 2 grandparents, 2 parents and 2 kids. Just a perfect place to land. You can get anywhere in many different transportation modes around the city. The communication with the owners and the property manager was excellent from start to finish! We would highly recommend you stay here.

Nice apartment for family

Very comfortable apartment with room to spread out for 3 generations in quirky Alfama. Even though festival music was loud a few streets away apartment is in a very quiet area. Appreciated the airport ride that Paula (owner) arranged -arrived on time and comfortable ride. Luggit for arrival luggage also worked out very well.

Well maintained and comfortable. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate so we were not able to take advantage of the nice patio. Property rep, Joyce, who checked us in was pleasant and helpful with sending us information around Lisbon.

Vickie's Birthday adventure

Stayed with group of 7 adults. Plenty spacious, well appointed, sunny and bright. Amazing location for staying in oldest part of city. You need to be fit and able to accommodate for the streets and stairs for this apartment , especially with luggage. Short walk to everything on hillside , but it is located at midpoint. Many great restaurants and bars and historic sights all around.

Excellent flat with great location

Beautiful and well-appointed flat apartment with 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, wonderful terrace, all the amenities that one needs in Lisbon. The location is great in old town Alfama, where you need good walking shoes to climb hills, stairs and stone streets and walkways. Plenty of bars, restaurants, cafes and mercados available to get what you might need/want. Carlos was a fantastic host and was very easy to work with and extremely helpful.

Family Vacation

We had a great stay, but be prepared to walk everywhere. The layout worked really well for our group of eight people. There were two master bedrooms with their own bathroom, and then the other two rooms shared two bathrooms (one with just a toilet and the other one with a toilet and shower). The kitchen was well-stocked, and the living area was nice for hanging out. There was an outdoor balcony, but we didn't really get to use it because of the time of year we were there (and it rained!).
