Fantastic Location

The property was in a great, walkable location with access to many conveniences (grocery, restaurants, bars) near the vibrant pedestrian-only streets leading to SMN and the Duomo. The apartment was workable, but not really as pictured in the photos in terms of furniture/accessories. We were clear on the elevator and then two half flights of stairs, but the stairs were under repair - which is completely not the fault of the host - but left some concern on how to access or exit the apartment in case of elevator issues or an emergency. The communication and check in process were very smooth, and with a more clear vision of the apartment, we would stay there again. Florence was one of the highlights of our trip!

Horrible experience

Appartement not available on time, cleaning lady starts to clean at 5 pm, we asked for another set of sheets, had to wait 7 pm to have them. Communication with the responsable person was very bad, nobody able to help… they brought the sheets with 2 packs of cookies…departure day the cleaning lady was more than on time, 30 mn before we were supposed to leave. A really bad experience and I would never rent anything with Abritel again !

Abandoned by management

The apartment is nice enough, though not without its quirks. As examples, the refrigerator works fine, but there’s no freezer compartment, so you not have any ice. The showers work fine, but there’s no place to put your soap, shampoo, etc., except on the shower floor. The washer works fine, but is so tiny that it only holds one bath towel and one hand towel. But these are minor issues and can be dealt with. What cannot be condoned is the absence of management. Management is not just absent, it’s almost belligerently absent. It started out bad and only got worse. If something in the apartment fails to work, management refuses to have it repaired. You have to fix it yourself or do without it. One night there was no hot water, so we did without showering. The next day there was still no hot water. I texted our contact person at 9:30 AM: “Sorry, but there is no hot water in the apartment and we cannot take a shower. What now?” There was no reply. Then the WIFI failed, no internet connection. I sent this text at 12:21 PM: “Now it seems the wifi is not working properly. Our iPads cannot open a page on the internet. Plus, there is still no hot water, for which I texted you three hours ago. Can you please respond to our request for assistance?There was no response. At 2:46 PM I sent this text: “It is now 2:46PM and we still have no hot water or internet connection. Will you please respond to our requests for assistance?” No response to this, either. So we moved out.

Lindo lugar, bien presentado. Laura muy amable. Tiene deficiencias: Elementos de baño no suficientes para 3 personas 5 noches: jabón, papel de baño. Faltaron focos. Las copias de las llaves de puertas muy imprecisas. Parece q hay una fuga de agua en cocina. El estacionamiento recomendado por Uds carísimo: pagamos 94 euros por dos noches. Cambiamos a otro más económico y cercano: Gioberti.

Comfortable apartment. Super nice beds. Plenty of toweks

Downside: minimal cooking equipment. No paring (small) knife), no potato peeler etc. Would recommend a folder with info and instructions on washing machine etc. Need a shelf in main bathroom. A shelf in showers would be nice. Tv had few English channels. A list of channels with foreign languages would be useful. Wifi was great. A few more refinements and attention to detail would be one more star.

Difficult to find and only parking available was for high fees.

The apartment was alright. The advertised elevator was of no help in getting the luggage to or from the apartment on the second floor as it did not stop on the level with the apartment. Street parking was by permit only so we had to use a public parking garage that was 4 blocks away. The cost averaged 30 euros a day. We arrived a bit later than expected and when we called to let them know, they were less than friendly.

Dear guest. The apartment is not on the second floor! It's on mezzanine floor. It's not something about the apartment if the garage is 30€ per day... your review is not fair because you gave 3 stars because of the garage...

The bed was the best thing about this apartment! Unfortunately, the quality of things is not great. The bathrooms had a terrible drainage smell, kitchen very basic, furniture cheap and apartment not particularly clean (hard to believe as the cleaning cost was very expensive for 3 days) Not somewhere we wanted to be in for very long to be honest. Also, it is a little too far out of town.

I've discussed some of this with the host so it shouldn't be a surprise. We found this apartment very difficult. There were unexpected steps and the keys were impossible. No one told us there were THREE locks on the door so we had to get a neighbor to help us get in. The front door key was extremely difficult to use and they knew it because they warned us. A couple of times we were not sure we would be able to get in. Even though I said we were sisters, they assumed we were "partners" and didn't bother to make up the bed in the second bedroom. Why would we rent a two-bedroom apartment if we only needed one? It just seemed very cheesy and the bed should have been made regardless. It's a nice apartment in a good location but it lacked some simple things to make it better, such as a box of tissues. It would be nice to put in some coffee things, tea bags, etc. in for guests and wouldn't cost very much. The coffee pot is next to impossible for a non-European to use. These are little things that can be frustrating, but the big problems were the keys and the fact that despite the elevator, we had to drag our suitcases up a flight-and-a-half of steps. Very misleading and a problem for two women of "a certain age." This can be a great place but the host needs to be more considerate. They kept us waiting to get in, and thankfully someone let us in the building or we would have been standing outside in the rain. In a competitive market, these are the things that are problematic.

Perfect!

We completely enjoyed our stay at this apartment..It is exactly as shown in the photos. Very clean, modern and had all the amendities we needed. The lovely lady that met us upon arrival (sorry can't remember her name) was very hospitable and gave us so much info about the area. The location is perfect since it is in walking distance to any attractions or shopping but just far enough away to give you a nice neighbourhood feel. We definitely would rent this apartment again!

Great location and wonderful apartment!!

The apartment was reasonably located close to Piazza Della Signoria which houses a replica of the famous David Statue. A quick hop on the bus system and you are only 10 mins away or you can walk to the square in 20 minutes. The apartment's amenities were up to date and the beds were reasonably comfortable. The host arrived to the location on time to let us in and was very helpful in explaining the location and how the amenities worked in the apartment. Parking can be found on the street or you can park a block away in a parking garage. However, be aware if you do park on the street you will need to move your car because it is a residential area where only residents can park. So I would recommend parking in the garage. Overal, a great experience!

Clean and updated apartment. Easy to access. About a 15 min walk to central Florence. Bathroom sink drainage issues were annoying. Also couch and sitting area in main room was quite small. Couch could be larger. Extra towels would have been appreciated.

Super roomy Italian apartment!

Luxurious 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment with amazing wifi AND walking access to everything authentically Firenze. We were sad to leave the neighborhood, which is within easy walking distance of the Duomo, Ufizi, etc. but far enough away to escape the high season crowds.

Make sure to turn water heater switch on early or no hot water. If you need two keys ask in advance. not quickly responsive when I contacted them which was very disapponting .

Lovely Beccaria Suite

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, newly renovated apartment. It is centrally located in a classically beautiful building with friendly neighbors in an upscale area with restaurants and a nearby taxi stand. On one occasion, we had a great Italian buffet dinner in a restaurant around the corner from the apartment. There were plenty of fresh towels, a well equipped kitchen, two beautiful, modern bathrooms and a comfortable bed. As there was only my boyfriend and myself, we did not try the second bed which looked comfortable, as well.
