we had a great time here, the only complaint is the floor felt like it wasn’t mopped or swept before we checked in but other than that everything seemed clean! would stay again

Needs updates lol

The condo needs a major update. The couch and love seat was very uncomfortable, it was not cleaned underneath. The twin beds needs changing because when you sleep on it two people felt like they were falling off to one side. Needs a ceiling fan in the second room. Needs another stool chair in the kitchen area since there was only one. The ceiling seem like it was falling by the patio side. The patio area was not cleaned at all. The dining room chairs seems to be wobbling so we did not seat on them at all. The rugs needs to be dusted or replaced. Honestly it was not that great!

Good for Value, Not For Luxury

I could not find a map of the property to find the precise location of this unit until it was too late. The photos online are somewhat misleading in that this unit is not "oceanfront" but "oceanview". And that ocean view is miniscule. What you do have is a lovely view of the pond with all its cute baby turtles, huge koi, and beautiful white egret. Positives: felt very safe, this is a small community of families; the condo was exceptionally clean! floors were clean, linens very clean and fresh; sink, dishwasher, stove, fridge, washer and dryer worked perfectly well; very easy to locate on a map. Negatives: I said it was very clean, and the smell of disinfectant was noxiously overwhelming for all three days we were there (even candles bought at the Walmart did not cut through it); it is an extremely small and old unit (reminiscent of a 1970s apartment: 7' ceilings, Tupperware and Corningware mixed with newer dishes and glasses). A tall family would feel very claustrophobic here; we did not use the sofabed (thank you for extra sheets laid on it) but the couch itself was very uncomfortable to sit on. It was very dark within the unit, even with all the lights on (that being said, the recessed lighting in the kitchen was lovely, as was the hallway lamp). For those sleeping in the master bedroom, the noise that comes from the frogs in the pond at night--oh my goodness. It is so loud that it is comical! But if you are tired enough from an awesome day at the beach or at the many entertainment activities available nearby, you might enjoy it!

Issues C-2

The bathroom has no air vents. The sofa sleeper wasn't even fit for a dog to sleep on , we had to put a air mattress on top of it. I have stayed at several units at Sugar Beach of this would be my last recommendation. Also I had 2 charges on my credit card that was not on the contract that I signed and sent back to Realjoy.

I have to say with everything in the area being so busy this was a very calm and laid back place to relax. We enjoyed not only the room but the area as a whole. Would recommend to anyone wanting to get away.

Not great

Combination did not work, WiFi did not work, property needed deep cleaning. Counters weren't clean, standing water in dishwasher. Realjoy mgmt was off site and did respond ok, but wasn't a great experience. The sheets didn't fit beds, and some were wrong side out.

First of all the floors were disgusting ! The tenants under the condo are just awful people . the condo flooded while were all at the beach . i come back the women is in my room going threw my things my clothes were ruined bur the rental company turned my vacation up and got me a beautiful condo . i would not sugest this condo to anyone . look at hidden dunes

Nice unit. It is a long walk to the beach, but would take the same amount of time if staying at a highrise. Not updated, but comfortable & clean. Great rates. Walk to eateries. Sugar Beach is always a great place to stay.

Great condo, neighbors could have been better

We arrived on a Thursday night, late. The club across the street had just started cranking up for the night. Thursday night and Friday night, we had to move my mother to the living room to sleep because the music from the club was booming in her room. The rest of the nights on our stay were ok, but it was certainly aggravating for weary travelers to be welcomed with the bass of a nightclub. We enjoyed watching the rides across the street and the go carts in walking distance were a bonus.

It was perfect for what we needed. I just would have liked to have seen more toilet paper and paper towels the condo Other than that it was perfect!

Nice get away

the property was very clean and nice. Bigger than expected as well. I definitely recommend. The only thing is I thought we were closer to the beach than we were. It wasn't a deal breaker though.

Very nice place and location. Very safe.

Everything went smooth from start to finish. Very nice condo. Loved the extra information that was emailed and the coupons. We would stay here again.

Overall nice stay

Property was pretty much as pictured. Floors looked clean but feet were left blackened if you had no shoes on in condo. Other than that the condo was clean. Some is updated. Kitchens and bathrooms were pretty updated. Furniture needs updated. Blinds fell on my head. Not secured at all. Closet doors need fixing in all rooms. Washer and dryer in condo was nice to have. Sleeper sofa was about a inch thick. Not comfy at all. Nice tvs. Had games and some beach accessories available. Game room was closed due to covid. Beach access was great. Pool was small but there wasn't many people using it. Overall it was nice.

Wish we had known

It would have been nice to know ahead of time that the restaurant (not listed as a bar) across the street from our room, approximately 100 feet, played their music extremely loud and full of bass that shook our room until 1 AM each night. No sleep compounded with a cleaning crew who isn’t interested in cleaning was most disappointing. Blood and crusty substances on the plastic cushions of the dining room chairs, a load of wet kitchen and bathroom towels in the washing machine, small strawberry caps and large plastic straw left behind in the dishwasher, and the soap dish in the master shower had soap buildup from simple neglect. I was easily able to wipe it out with a paper towel. Fortunately, I was with three of the best people on the planet, so the trip was saved! We made many fun memories, but this condo we will not fondly remember.

Okay but a few disappointments

Overall this property was okay. The condo has some updates and the kitchen is stocked with the essentials. We did have a few issues with the property. The dryer was extremely loud and did not work properly. After a few full cycles a small load of towels was still damp. There was a large crack in the living room ceiling. In the master, an entire section of a wall was missing the drywall/stucco finish leaving the rusted framing steel and screws exposed. This could be very dangerous for small children. When we arrived there was sand on both of the twin beds. Lastly, be aware that this property is at the end of the property closest to the road so it can be a lot of noise from the road and businesses.

Disappointing

Our first night we woke up to wet floors because of condensation from a none working A/C. The balcony sliding doors did not lock, the bathrooms were not cleaned properly, the living room ceiling leaked heavily, the dryer did not work properly and was very noisy, the small bedroom window did not lock at all. Overall, the apartment lacked security.

We would like to apologize for the inconveniences you experienced here. These issues should have never occurred. We did some checking and found that a technician was sent to repair the A/C and dryer. The technician found that the dryer needs bearings and the leaking has been reported to the building maintenance. We couldn’t find where you had mentioned the sliding door, bathrooms, or window when you had contacted us. We will forward your comments to our Ops team to assess and make repairs if necessary.
