Ca' Penelope was everything we hoped it would be for our first family holiday with young grandkids involved. It seems harsh to point out any negatives however reviews are meant to be informative. The parking/drop off situation is challenging but we managed ok with 2 young kids but it should be something you consider. But it should not put you off this amazing oasis just outside the cutest town (Fornalutx) which had everything we needed. Soller is a short, but lively, drive away and that offers the big town stuff if you need a bit more than the local village offers. Our dealings with Jenny were superb. She could not have been more helpful with information throughout the whole process. The house itself is great. Huge bedrooms with AC that actually works and was very much needed during our stay. The kitchen was really well equipped and everything we needed with 2 young children. There are lots of levels in the house for the youngsters and oldies to navigate but again it was not a problem The pool is amazing. We were worried about the narrow surrounds but it wasn't a problem. We became very skilled at creating shade from the harsh sun using 2 good sized umbrellas. But from around 5pm there was good shade created by an adjacent hedge/wall. The mountains backdrop from the pool is pretty special as well.This is a unique property that comes with some challenges, but its definitely worth the effort.
