Nice oceanside condo with quick access to all island points

This condo was clean and had great furnishings. We loved the morning sunrises and sitting along the ocean wall to watch snorkelers, surfers., and sea turtles. There was a lovely secluded sand beach park only a few blocks away which we took advantage of often. The grounds and pool were immaculately kept. We also found the location convenient to get to all points on the island. The manager was attentive a very responsive and we enjoyed our stay very much.

Excellent property with everything stored up neatly in the room. Everything you need like utensils, pots and plates is there all you have to do is just buy want you want to cook. We ended up extending a few more days to enjoy the other beauties we missed out. Will definitely come back. Nice vacation so far.

Beautiful View & Nice Accommodations

Far and away the best part of this unit is the ocean front location and view. If you’re looking for a nice, quiet spot to relax on the balcony and watch the waves, or fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean, this is perfect! There’s little/no vehicle traffic nearby and nothing but well-manicured lawn between you and the ocean. The comdo was well furnished and well maintained and the complex was neat and clean. It’s centrally located on the island but there is nothing much immediately nearby. It’s about 15 min to Kihei and 25 min to Lahaina. We’re already looking forward to a return trip.

Enjoyable stay with ocean views

We really enjoyed our stay in Maalaea. The view was phenomenal, the sound of the ocean was up close, and you could see whales in the distance. There were some turtles and crabs on the rocks. There are some lounge chairs in front of the building and the palm trees provide some shade if needed. Keep in mind that this is not a beach if that's what you're hoping for. However, there are plenty of beaches a short drive away. The unit was clean. There is an A/C and fan in the bedroom and a fan in the living room as well as the balcony. Great seating areas in the patio and living room. It was easy to get a hold of the property manager. If needed after hours, they are usually only accessible by email; we didn't have any urgent requests, so thankfully, this was not an issue. Beach chairs, umbrella, towels, body board and a cooler were provided, which was very appreciated as it allowed us to enjoy Maui even more! There is a great place for simple meals and some necessities called Maalaea General Store within walking distance. It was a gem and we enjoyed our meals here more than many of the other eateries we tried. Overall, we had a great stay here. Keep in mind that Maui is an expensive place and given the oceanfront location, it was on the more expensive side of the spectrum.

Perfect Location

The location was perfect! We saw sea turtles and manta rays right out front from the balcony. There were surfers and the local neighbors are just so nice. Location is quiet but close to great restaurants which was perfect for us. Plus, Haleakala is a magnificent view.

Loved this place!

Property was clean, well-stocked, and in a wonderful location! Loved sipping my morning coffee on the lanai and watching the sun rise over the mountain! Love the stone-lined, soft, grassy path by the ocean for walks along the shore. Parking places were a bit narrow, but there's street parking available right in front of the building.

Beautiful Stay!

My first trip to Maui was wonderful. The condo was great had all the necessities of home. The only drawback was the ground mulching which left everyone's patio covered in dirt, but the management company was wonderful in getting it cleaned up immediately. The humidity was at an alltime high during our stay and airconditioning in the main area of the condo would have been great. Overall we had an excellent time. Thank you! Jeanette and Karen

Great place!

For our first time to Maui, this was certainly a blessing of a place to stay! Very clean and quiet. Great location- close enough to the fun, but far enough to get away and actually RELAX. The beach nearby was perfect and clean as ever. This area is definitely more family oriented, so if you're looking for a party pad, or somewhere to stay up late with loud music or anything, this may not be the place to stay. But this was beyond perfect for my wife and I, and really hope we can come back sooner than later!

Maalea Kai #212 stay

We stayed at Maalea Kai #212 for 4 nights in October. The unit was clean, the kitchen was very nice, the bed was comfortable, and the view was excellent. We would definitely stay in this unit again. There were a few minor items we'll point out that you should be aware of if you're considering staying here. - There is no central AC. There is a portable unit (on wheels) in the bedroom which vents out the bedroom window. As the sun comes up the AC isn't sufficient to cool the entire unit....when we were in the living room we were clammy during the day and through much of the evening. The bedroom where the AC is located is cool so that wasn't a problem, but we did wish at times that the entire condo was cooled better. - There is no sand beach here, it is rocky with essentially no access to the water directly in front of the condo. There are sand beaches nearby (maybe 1/4-1/2 mile away). That wasn't an issue for us but might be a consideration for others. - The curtains in the bedroom don't completely close. We ended up using a chip bag clamp to keep them together. A little bit of an issue as the sidewalk runs right alongside the bedroom windows, but easily addressed. - Maalea Bay is a little bit of a drive to areas with more dining/shopping venues. This isn't a touristy area (up to you if that is good or bad). If you want multiple dining/shopping choices you'll have to drive 15-25 minutes. We had already stayed up in the Kaanapali area and enjoyed that, so a little quieter area was appreciated. The Maui aquarium which is great is just a 5 minute walk from the condo, and there are a couple of restaurants right next to the aquarium. We had a great dinner at Seascape, and check out Beach Bums for some good BBQ and onion rings!

Beautiful, Great location! Loved it!

The condo was beautifully decorated, spotless with nice touches like fresh orchids placed all over condo. It was well stocked from beach towels to beach chairs. Communication was exceptional with lots of helpful information. The location was perfect and the view from the balcony was spectacular. Loved all the sea turtles in bay! Mahalo!!!

This was one of the best rental apartments we’ve used in all of our travels. It was well equipped in the kitchen and provided all the amenities you neeed for a beach day. The local beach (Haycraft) is within walking distance and has parking if you want to drive. Just walk beyond the small crowd by the parking lot and enjoy the entire beach to yourselves. The bed was cozy and the AC in the bedroom worked well. It would have been nice to have AC throughout, but you adjust and there is a nice breeze. The laundry is at the end of the building and costs $3 per load (wash and dry). The machines take debit cards so don’t worry about having quarters. We would recommend the apartment and definitely stay again.

40th Anniversary Trip

We absolutely LOVED the condo and the perfect oceanfront views. The place is beautifully decorated, we had everything we needed in the kitchen and the bed was very comfortable. We stayed the week after Thanksgiving and were quite pleased there was an air conditioner in the bedroom which we needed. Everyone we met was so friendly and enjoyed the Christmas lights that were put up on the hedge while we were there. I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone considering a trip to Maui.

This Condo was a great place to stay if your looking for some peace and quiet. Morning coffee on the lanai to watch the sunrise was fantastic. There was a portable A/C unit in the bedroom which was quite noisy (at any speed) but we didn't use it much. We opened the deck and bedroom window and created a cross draft which cooled the place down well. The kitchen is modern and had your basic cooking utensils and pots and pans. Andreas was great. He had contacted us before arriving as well as attended to any questions that we had. I'd stay here again.

Great Condo!

I have stayed in many condos on Hawaii. This condo was set up with everything you needed for a great stay. Loved the beach chairs!

5 miles of uncrowded beach, whale watching in Maalaea Bay which is the Humpback Whale calving and breeding grounds during the winter months (November through April) and Giant Green Sea Turtle watching year round right in front of the property! Ocean swimming, boogie boarding and surfing (during south swells), and windsurfing with in walking distance to the longest sugary beach on Maui! The Pacific Whale foundation is a short walk from the property so you can walk to your whale watch tour, or take educational classes without a car! A few restaurants to choose from, gas/quick mart and a family activity center featuring water bumper boats, mini golf, extreme trampoline and rock climbing! Their is a charming local store called "Maalaea General Store" 5 minutes by foot, for local eats, espresso, fruits and vegetables, liquor and lite grocery items.
