There’s really nothing not to like with this condo. Well equipped for all our cooking needs. Well supplied with linens towels etc. Probably could use a few new bed pillows the ones there were like pancakes. The view and location are excellent for all our needs with quick easy walking access to everything. The unit was clean but a little more attention to a deeper clean would enhance this unit even further. Captain Cook staff were great as always ready and willing to help with whatever. Thank you.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 2405 was our home away from home for 6 weeks in 2022. And it really felt like that. The unit is an open floor plan, with pull back shutters separating the bedroom from rest of unit. Keeping those open gave them unit more light & made the unit seem so much larger than it is. Ceramic tile floors thru out made clean up easy. Furniture was all current, clean & comfy. The kitchen was so greatly stocked with any & every type of dish, appliance, utensil that might be needed for food prep/storage. All appliances are full size. An issue with the dishwasher was promptly looked after by James & the owner had a new one installed right away. Great service by James. Great responsibility assumed by owner, who didn’t hesitate to get problem rectified so we could continue to enjoy our stay here. 2405 in the Four Paddle, is in a good location. Safe, secure, well maintained building, with excellent staff. Unit had great views, good patio furniture. Unit was clean upon arrival & well organized. Really enjoyed our stay here. Kudos to James, the property manager, as well as the conscientious owners, for looking after everything so well.

Great stay

This rental had everything my partner and I needed for a half-working half-not vacation! The WiFi was fast, the kitchen had everything we needed (including a good rice cooker!), and the location is great in Waikiki. It's easy to walk everywhere and the bus is right there on Kuhio Ave if you want to get out of Waikiki. The property manager was super-helpful and seems like they would have been responsive in case we did have any issues (but thankfully we didn't).

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall the building and unit were great and the kitchen was very well stocked with utensils and tools. There was a great view, the internet was fast and only a short walk to the beach. The only minor complaint was the construction noise during our one month stay. The fire alarm update wasn't a major issue, but almost every day during the first three weeks there was construction noise between 9am and 4pm. The noise wasn't constant and some days worse than others (e.g. jackhammering for an hour plus). It was noted in the listing so completely expected, but something to keep in mind if you intend to be in the unit for long stretches during the day.

Dream trip of a lifetime turned into a nightmare

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The picture in the ad is very deceptive. One would think there was paradise both inside and outside the apartment. However we paid full price for 62 nights FOR THE VIEW. The apartment was filthy and had not been cleaned before we arrived. The washing machine tore up the second time it was used but was fixed promptly. The 3rd day we went to open the apartment door and the mechanical suspension came off and brought the entire top of the door casing down. It was never put back up when we left 2 months later. The $.50 lights above the island were useless. Half of the lights stayed out and prevented the top cabinet door from opening. There were 5 lights under the cabinets and 3 of the 5 quit. The dishes, silverware, pots and pans were dirty and greasy. We had to wash them all before use. The bathroom was filthy and soap scum was built up on the tub walls, the faucet to the tub leaked constantly and the tub drain was rusted as well as the metal shampoo and soap holder. Underneath the hand railing it was black and moldy looking. The bed was hard as a rock and I ended up buying a queen size air mattress. The sheets were old and knotty. The couch with chaise was cheap and worn out. The manager agreed. Everything in the apartment had something wrong with it EXCEPT the view. Across the street the Ritz Carlton was expanding and Monday – Saturday work at 6:30 began and the noise was horrific. No sleeping in!!! I thought we would at least get our cleaning fee back because the apartment was definitely not cleaned upon our arrival. I picked up 2 pills off the floor by the bed the first evening we arrived. The baseboard at the head of the bed had never been cleaned and the carpet was stained in several areas. Within the first 2 weeks I had to go to the doctor because of allergies. There was dust everywhere including the AC vents and I don’t know when the carpet had been cleaned. I paid 5 star prices and got 1 star accommodations; should have stayed at Motel 6.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback from your recent stay. It’s extremely disappointing to receive comments like these, particularly since this condo regularly receives 5-star reviews. Our team works hard to offer great accommodations and friendly service and your property manager, Paul, is on call 24/7, 365 days a year, to resolve any issues which may arise during your stay. The condo was professional cleaned prior to your arrival. When you checked in, Paul offered to have the carpet cleaned, but you declined. After hearing about the automatic door closer becoming loose, Paul tried to fix it, but said you told him “never mind, it’s not important” and he placed it in the closet. He replaced light bulbs and provided a memory foam topper for the bed. Had you mentioned your dissatisfaction with the linens, a quick call and Paul could have easily provided new linens. Likewise if you felt the cleaning was not up to par, he could have had the condo re-cleaned to your satisfaction.We want your stay to be the best it can be so if issues arise, we rely on our guests to let us know about them so those issues can be resolved in a timely manner. We are careful to point out in our listings that the construction across the street has blocked views and can be noisy at times. We receive very few complaints about the construction noise and were sorry to hear you this was bothersome to you. Waikiki is a very busy little city and can be noisy. 2nd Four Paddle Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Manager could be a little more diligent about cleaning but overall, the place was OK. Paul responded promptly to our concerns about greasy pots and pans. I would still like to see some tall reading lamps in these units.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Love this property. A short walk to the beach and right on the Bus route. Very friendly people in this condo building. Surprised to find that the fabulous view will be eliminated and construction noise for the next 2 years or more. So sad.

Thank you Rob! Fortunately 2405 will only lose about half of the ocean view. So far the construction noise from the new Ritz Carlton hasn't been too bad.

The only inconvenience was the construction in front of the condo which started early in the morning and was quite loud.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Have never rented a condo before and was somewhat hesitant. I spent a lot of time doing research and ended up with this unit. I couldn't have been more pleased. The unit had everything you could want, the location was great, and the Captain Cook staff were very helpful. Our air conditioner stopped working one night and Paul was out there in a very reasonable amount of time. Luckily, it the problem was taken care of and we were back to normal in no time. The unit has a great view and we would rent this again without hesitation. Just wish it wasn't on a monthly basis. We stayed for only three weeks of our monthly rental and normally don't even get that much time to visit. Would not hesitate in renting this unit again if we ever have the opportunity to stay for three or more weeks. Also, should note: the parking space was perfect, the washer and dryer in the unit were very handy, and the unit had a ton of storage space for personal belongings. Highly recommend.

Great Place to stay in Waikiki

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first stay at the Four Paddle and loved the location and suite! We tried to vacuum but the vacuum wasn't working properly. The suite was very well equipped and we found it only needed a pitcher for juice. Overall this was one of the best places we've stayed and we would recommend it to anyone planning a vacation on Oahu. We will definitely book this suite on our next trip.
