This is an excellent unit -- dated somewhat as many of the units at Casa De Emdeko are but very comfortable & any shortcomings are made up by the gorgeous view from the lanai. Convenient to have washer & dryer in the unit -- allows one to pack much less than you otherwise would. Two pools: one fresh water & one salt water right at the ocean's edge.

This was our first time in Hawaii and this place was perfect. Everything we needed was already here. Fresh towels, beach towels, chairs, you name it. The view was so beautiful. Every morning sitting on the deck watching the ocean with our coffee and listening to the birds was a blessing.

As expected

One of the best values in Kona. The Salt Water Pool over looking the ocean was amazing. This isnt a 5 star hotel resort but youre not paying that price. Based on listing and payment i would stay here again.

Two week January getaway

Accomendations were very clean. Could use more dish soap (3), toliet paper (2),kleenex (none), garbage bags (2) for a 2 week stay. Beautiful view AM sun, shade PM. Convenient to town. Pretty quiet in January, Didnt see any children.

This particular unit is clean and perfect for the two of us. It was towards the back middle of complex and pretty close to both pools. Really like the area, condo is older and very dated which was ok. The biggest inconvenience was the water was turned off on the entire complex at 9 am. We were getting ready in the morning and check out was at 11 am. Made a good trip end with alot of difficulty. Property manager should've have disclosed this prior to booking.

It was so relaxing and marvelous. The only thing that could’ve been a little bit clearer was what items were going to be furnished in the condo. We overpacked!’lol the saltwater pool that sits next to the oceanfront was just amazing. I took a life-size sugar skull floaty and just floated around in our off time while visiting the Big Island. My dear friend recommended Casa de Emdeko and I went to sleep each night listening to the waves which was the exact same thing that I woke up to. The tranquil of pleasant environment was exactly what we needed.I am 61 years old but I felt 21 the entire time! Thank you so much for the experience of a lifetime!

The complex is away from the road so no noise from Alii drive. Unit is a bit dated inside but we don’t spend much time indoors anyways. Lots of towels which is always nice.

When we checked in, the power to the unit was completely out. We were not informed about this until after we had already landed. We later learned from neighbors that the outage had already been ongoing for several days prior to our arrival.Because there was no power, there were no lights, air conditioning, or elevator access for the first several hours of our stay. We had to carry all of our luggage up to the third floor in extreme heat, which was extremely difficult and not what we expected when booking the property.A few days later, the water was also shut off for half the day and now the air conditioning has gone out and was still out of order when we checked out today. These repeated issues have had a major impact on our stay and overall experience.. We were also told that attempts had been made to contact us regarding these issues before arrival, but we never received any calls, messages, or notifications warning us about the condition of the property.We understand that unexpected maintenance issues can happen, but the lack of communication and repeated disruptions during our stay have been very disappointing.

Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the inconveniences experienced during your stay. To clarify, the power outage was the result of a complex-wide issue that was outside of our control. We were advised by the association and utility providers that power was expected to be restored the morning of your arrival, which is why we anticipated the issue would be resolved before check-in. Unfortunately, restoration was delayed beyond the timeframe provided to us. As soon as we became aware of the continued outage, we notified arriving guests and provided updates as information became available. We certainly understand how frustrating it was to arrive without power, elevator service, air conditioning, and other normal conveniences, particularly after traveling. While the outage itself was beyond our control, we recognize that it impacted the start of your vacation and we are sorry for that experience. The temporary water shutdown was also a building-related matter managed by the association, and while we strive to keep guests informed of any known disruptions, some events unfortunately arise or change with little notice. Regarding the air conditioning issue later in your stay, our team worked to address the concern as quickly as possible once it was reported. We appreciate your understanding that these were not recurring conditions of the property itself, but rather a series of unforeseen building and utility-related issues.

Adequate, though even with and elevator, lots of "mini stairs"

Reviewer Comments: Except for the up and downs of the stairs, dragging suitcases over all of them, it was quite nice. Really liked their saltwater pool being right on the coast. Conveniently located, not enough parking.

Nice property we would return

The window coverings in the bedroom need to be fixed. They don’t cover the window in the bedroom. Can opener is worthless. Some of the dishes had food on them. Great lanai. Nice view. Management was very helpful. Comfortable place. Tight on parking but felt secure.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Good location. Glad to have the AC. Would choose to have a room on the south side to avoid sun in the morning. Room had the items we needed for the beach the grills were convenient and modern, building was well maintained for its age. Very much enjoyed the salt water pool. Staff was helpful when completing arrangements. Over all a nice facility we would come again.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Accomodation was not very clean, we have to complete when we arrived.Bed in the master bedroom is really really bad. It was my 6th times on the island and it was the worst.

We're so very shocked by this review, as we did not hear from you at all during your stay. We have inspection photos indicating the unit was fine and clean, can you please reach out to us and elaborate? The bed was recently replaced in the last couple of years, so surprised by this too.
