Great stay at solana beach.

Wonderful condo and great location close to beach. La jolla is just minutes away. Solana beach is a nice, quiet beach with great sunsets. Location is near many great restaurants and shopping. Tesla supercharger less than a mile away. Would love to go back next time we plan our vacation in the area.

Great Del Mar Condo

Overall a great condo...in a convenient location. Only draw back is parking spot is far from the unit so it was a bit of a walk with our stuff. The unit was good and spacious and fairly cool even though it was a hot week when we stayed. Would recommend this property to families.

It’s a nice property away from the city. Fun cute places to eat close by and the beach being close is a huge plus. The property itself could use a few improvements just from normal wear and tear but the area is perfect and the heated pool being close was great too.

California Vacation

We loved our trip to Solana Beach! We stayed in June and the weather was perfect! The condo was a convenient location and we explored La Jolla, Legoland and San Diego. Plenty of space for our family of 5. We had an issue with broken blinds and the ladder to the bunk bed and it was addressed that same day. Would definitely come back and recommend this place again.

Wonderful beach escape

Our family was visiting for a soccer tournament, and the location was perfect! 10 mins from Surf Sports Park and just a short walk to the private beach access across the street. The unit was clean, updated, and the beach decor made me feel like I was back in my home town of the Jersey Shore. Warren was great in communicating, and is even helping to return an item left behind. Great space for our family as easy drives to Legoland, Sea World and other spots. Lots of great food within walking distance. Kid's loved all sharing a room and lots of games/activities and beach toys for the kids to use. Definitely will look to stay again during our next SD visit!

Disappointing

The complex and location are very nice. However the apartment needs a lot of renovation and much more attention to cleaning in general. We really did not like the fact that all outside areas and barbecue were in terrible shape. Also blinds, bedsheets, lamps in bedrooms and living room should be replaced. Even little insects were found in some drawers. We think that a vacation rental in exclusive area like Solana should be upgraded.

We did send our housekeeping staff over immediately after finding the HOA had completed roof repairs and left some debris in the patio area. We appreciate you letting us know this occurred and trust our timely response was helpful. We also supplied fresh new linens and placemats at your request. We always strive for excellence and wish for our guests to be very comfortable and have a wonderful time staying with us. Since your departure, the owners also installed new flooring upstairs and in bedrooms so the unit is very fresh and attractive. We hope you will come back again and stay with us!

Escape the Heat

We spent a week at this property after being in the Solana Beach area already for a week. The check in was smooth and had been relayed to us a week before we arrived. The condo had electronic locks so that was easy. The condo does not have a/c so the house was hot and stuffy when we arrived but there are nice powerful fans in each room and it helped. The condo has had some update to furniture and decor but still seemed a bit “tired”. That did not affect the quality of our stay tho. The amenities of the condo complex were nice. The pools/ hot tub were lovely. The access to the beach is across the street but it didn’t bother us as we were in CA to be outside and to walk. On the other side of the property the tub on the bluff overlooking the beach was our favorite place to watch the sunset. The kids played in the pool and the adults sat and enjoyed the closing of the day. This property also has a lovely meeting room overlooking the bluff that is a great place to gather with the family to eat, play games, or sit in a warm spot and be quiet. Communication with the property manager was efficient and the issues were resolved within 12 hours to our great satisfaction.

Terrible! Reconsider if you were thinking of booking.

If I could give a zero star rating I would. I am appalled that this is classified as a "Preferred Partner". The unit is so disgusting and dirty as well as in need of a significant amount of maintenance. An updated kitchen doesn't offset the terrible state of everything else. NOT a place my husband and I would recommend. We were extremely disappointed with everything including the communication from the property manager(s). The check in/check out was quite disorganized. I sent a letter, as well as a follow up to the property manager's direct e-mail address after our trip outlining the issues we experienced and did not even receive an apology at the very least. Be wary! This is the worst VRBO property we have ever stayed at. Do not be fooled by the other reviews as we were. Routine maintenance, upkeep, and good housecleaning service would have made this property a five star. Unfortunately this was not the case.

This property has never been anything but cleaned updated and very peaceful. The reviews overall tell the whole truth. As for communication, we are in full communication with our guests, any problems concerns or complaints ect.... Great condo near the solana beach

We had a great time staying at Warren's condo. The place was clean, plenty of room for our family of 5 and the location was great as well. Warren is very responsive to answer our questions. It's a great choice for families with kids that want to hang out at the beach that's not too crowded or noisy. The listing description was accurate but there were a few things we did not know before so I thought I'd share here so others would be aware. There are not cons by any means, just good to know during your trip planning. - The condo was clean and had almost everything we needed, but it's pretty dated, like the typical condos from the 60s/70s, and it seems like most of the condos around solana beach were in similar style. So if you are looking for something modern or contemporary, this is not it, but it worked perfectly fine for our family stay. - There's no AC in the condo. We did not know that before arrival, and apparently there's no AC in any of the beach front condos in this area. It's probably common knowledge for the locals, but as a visitor it was a surprise. SD weather is so nice most of the time this is not going to be an issue, so you might want to keep your windows open so the outside cool air can get in and turn on the fans. We didn't know this and had our windows closed and it got to around 80 degrees in the afternoon in the upstairs bedrooms. After we learned this we kept our windows open and fans on and it was perfectly fine. - This unit is part of a gated subdivision (beach club) right next to the beach that has private access to the beach, the subdivision has 2 sections, one section right next to the beach, and another section away from the beach, separated by 2 automated gates and a public road (not too busy but has some traffic). This unit is in the section away from the beach, but the total walk time is about 10 minutes from the unit to the beach, so not too far at all. Overall we had a great time and would definitely consider contacting Warran again if we go back to SD. Highly recommend this place!

Spring Break in Solana Beach

This property was perfect for our family vacation. We chose it because we wanted to be at the beach, but have a quieter place to sleep compared to the boardwalk in Mission or Pacific Beach. We loved having a separate space for the kids with their own bathroom. Everything we needed to enjoy the beach and pool was provided. We liked being in easy driving distance to LEGOLAND, the Safari Park, and several other local beaches. Check-in was a little confusing only because the VRBO automatic reminder e-mail that I got the day before check-in had old information that was different from what was provided by the property manager when we booked our reservation. I texted him when we arrived and he called me almost immediately to assist. We appreciated how helpful and responsive he was. If you stay here, you have to go to Parlor Donuts in Solana Beach!

Great location, cute and spacious place

Great location across the street from a spectacular beach. Surfing is an easy walk. So are plenty of nice restaurants and coffee shops. Easy ride to UCSD, Scripps, etc. Property manager is very communicative and helpful. Place is spacious and comfortable. Great place to stay!

even with the construction going on the townhome was lovely and peaceful. , pools were great. lovely temperature and the locals very friendly. The Beach access was easy just across the street. so easy to drive into downtown SD with lots of local restaurants in Del Mar we had a lovely stay, a great break with the family will stay again for sure.

Wonderful

If you want a clean, spacious, easy walk to the beach property than this is it!!! The gated community is an extra feature. I can't say enough about this property. And communication with the manager was easy, just a quick text. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Condo in a Great Location

This condo is exactly as pictured and was just perfect for a family vacation. We spent a week and a half with two young kids and it was totally perfect. The condo had enough space for us all and it was awesome to be able to cook meals. While there are plenty of restaurants close by, it was really great to have a full kitchen to cook stress free meals after long beach days. The facilities were perfect... very easy beach access, multiple heated swimming pools and hot tubs. I also found the property manager, Warren, to be exceptionally helpful and very responsive. He made sure we were totally comfortable and went out of his way to be flexible and accommodating. All in all, it was a perfect vacation. We were all sad to leave and can't wait to come back.

Such a cute condo!

I’m going to do a pros/cons review or else I will have to write a book. PROS: -spacious condo -comfortable beds -adaquate seating -fast washer and dryer -beach towels provided -ocean toys, chairs, boogie boards etc. -gated safe community -4 pools to choose from -tennis court -fitness room -ocean access -do not have to worry about cars while kids play outside -walking distance to the Brigantine restaurant (so good!) CONS: -the kitchen really needs some new pots and pans -sheets constantly fall off of the master bed because of the type of mattress protector -finding the key to the condo was the most stressful hunt I’ve ever been on. I will leave instructions below.... All in all we loved this place. We were super comfortable and felt very safe here! This condo is perfect for people with children! Finding the key to the condo was AWFUL. The instructions on how to do so are completely useless. Not even joking. If it weren’t for our friends who also rented a condo here having the same experience, we wouldn’t have found the keys. There are two different entrances to the condos as there are two sides, one on each side of the street. This condo is not on the ocean side, so when you look for the keys you will need to travel down the street quite a ways and there will be stairs up to a big cabinet full of lock boxes on the ocean side of the street. This “building” doesn’t have a door, but you still need to pay attention to find it. Once you locate it, it’s easy breezy from there! Stay and enjoy!

Great condo! Very clean and close to everything we needed.

We loved the condo. It was super clean and had everything we needed. There are 4 pools, so we loved just hanging out in the pool. The one we used was just around the corner of our condo. You have full access to all pools, tennis court and fitness room. The beach is just across the street and the kids loved that too. The Del Mar fair was going on and we were able to walk to that. That was a great plus for our vacation. Check in was easy and management was very nice. There are many restaurants within walking distance or a very short drive. We also loved that each bedroom had a TV plus a TV in the living room. I would highly recommend this condo and we are planning to come back next year. Great time! Great place! Super Clean!

We really had a great vacation, everything was good, clean and comfortable.my kids really enjoyed.

The property was good, it was really convenience to have a nearest access to the pool and to the beach . The rooms In the house was clean and comfortable . Exepteble bedroom bed, I will suggest to change the mattress it was not comfortable for us .owerall Thank you ! I wish to have this home for my next vacation again .

It was very clean and easy to get to places

The place was overall nice. It was very clean. It was easy to get to places(groceries,train, beach). We only had a few concerns. The beds were not very comfy. The king bed had a big lump in it. The bathroom deal with soap/conditioner was empty. We had issues finding the keys when got there and then we were told we needed a pass to park our car. There wasn't a pass anywhere. The owners said we didn't need one. We ended up cancelling our car so didn't need it. We could also hear the neighbors at times. But, otherwise we enjoyed our stay.
