Great location easy access to beach and walking distance from our fav restaurants.

Over all experience was great despite the renters up stair busting a pipe or something and not controlling there kids from running around and stomping our experience was great easy access to beach and bars and stores. Definitely will rent again.

Great time

The property was clean and comfortable the beds king and queen bedrooms my be a little worn out. But still comfortable. The description said there was a hot tub there was not one. But had a beautiful deck and grill had a good time in the evening . There were a couple things the faucet was loose on kitchen sink but it worked. We had a very nice time and enjoyed our stay. Would stay again and found the management of property gave excellent information on how to check in. And if we need him he was available.

There were large roaches. No one mentioned that it was a duplex. Even though no one stayed upstairs, we still heard footsteps didn't understand that or why. Will not be using this company ever again

End of summer

The house was nice, clean, and pretty much as promised in the description. Sleep arrangements were a little tricky. We had 5 kids and 3 adults. It was a little hard to figure out who would be bunking with whom the way the rooms and beds are. There is only one bathroom which also made it hard when we would get back from the beach and everyone needed a shower. The outside shower would have helped with that situation if it had privacy. But it is on the front of the house in full view of the street. Also the bathroom and laundry room have 2 high 10 to 12 inch steps leading up to both. An older person would have trouble getting up and down those. Neighborhood was good, felt safe walking to and from the beach. It is a short walk to the beach. Also there are two units, one upstairs and one downstairs. We had downstairs unit and the people upstairs were constantly running through their unit and our ceiling fans shook and of course the noise was annoying. Kitchen was nice, everything worked well and there were dishes, pans, and utensils. We really enjoyed the deck, sat out there and ate twice while bar- b quing. Had games that the kids enjoyed and even enough room to dance. Over all we had a good experience staying here.

Nice location, close to everything we wanted to see. We stayed for four nights, but only two days of supplies (dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, shampoo, kitchen towels, etc.) were provided. If you stay for more than two days, make sure to bring your own supplies.

Don't Miss out on this Hidden Gem of South Padre

My friends and I had an amazing stay at Mr. McCarty's property. This location easily slept 9 adults and the washer/dryer on site was a wonderful addition to utilize. The A/C ran perfect and kept us cool, and the shower ran hot water quickly. Not only was the accommodation great, but so was its central location on the island. It was easy to walk to the coolest bars and was such a short walk to the beach. My group and I will look nowhere else when planning another trip to South Padre. Don't miss your chance to stay at this hidden gem of South Padre.

Very spacious and fun

I came here for a 3 day stay with my family and finding the location was so easy. It was so clean when we walked in and so much bigger than I thought. The bathroom is up on steps that would have been nice to know about beforehand since my mom has knee issues and it was a bit difficult for her to go up and down the 3 or 4 steps. It is about 1 block away from a public beach access which was so convenient. I had a few issues with the door to the property but the property owners was so helpful and quick to solve the issue. Overall my family and I had a great time and enjoyed this property very much.
