Dies ist ein wirklich atemberaubendes Hotel, das kürzlich renoviert und auf höchstem Niveau renoviert wurde. Es ist extrem geräumig und bietet einen spektakulären, ununterbrochenen Blick nach Süden auf die Landschaft von Cotswold. Es ist eine sehr abgelegene und ruhige Lage, die auf uralten Buchenwäldern beruht.

Die Scheune wird auf zwei Ebenen über eine Wendeltreppe betreten. Im Obergeschoss befindet sich ein sehr großes Hauptschlafzimmer mit Eichenholzböden und bequemen Sesseln. Es gibt Türen, die zu einem kleineren zweiten Schlafzimmer und einem Badezimmer mit einer Eisenrollbadewanne führen. Das zweite Schlafzimmer enthält Etagenbetten und ist für 2 junge (gut erzogene!) Geeignet. Kinder unter 10 Jahren (unter 30 kg und fünf Fuß 5 für untere Koje)

Zwei französische Fenster öffnen sich direkt vom Hauptschlafzimmer auf einen Außenbalkon mit uneingeschränktem 180-Grad-Blick auf Cranham Common und das atemberaubende Painswick-Tal.

Im Erdgeschoss befindet sich ein offenes Wohnzimmer und eine Küche mit Steinboden (mit Fußbodenheizung). Zwei französische Fenster öffnen sich auf die Terrasse und den Garten, nach Süden ausgerichtet und mit demselben fantastischen Panoramablick. Es gibt einen Holzofen, falls Sie zusätzliche Wärme wünschen, und kostenlose Protokolle.

Die Scheune verfügt über ein eingebautes Sonos-Lautsprechersystem, mit dem Sie Ihre eigene Musik, Radio usw. von Ihrem gewählten Gerät im ganzen Haus abspielen können. Es gibt eine Auswahl an Brettspielen, DVD-Player und zahlreichen DVDs.

Ein Garten mit Rasen und eine Steinterrasse mit Tisch und Stühlen stehen ausschließlich den Gästen der Scheune zur Verfügung. Es gibt ausreichend Platz zum Abstellen von Fahrzeugen sowie sicheren Platz in Nebengebäuden für Fahrräder usw. Wir könnten sogar Ihre Pferde mit großer Vorwarnung im Stall unterbringen!

Die Unterkunft grenzt an die alten Buchenwälder von Buckholt. Unmittelbar vor der Haustür befinden sich kilometerlange schöne Spaziergänge und ein typischer Landgasthof ist in 5 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Wir sind 200 m vom Cotswold-Weg entfernt.

This property was even more beautiful than the photos. The barn was rustic and modern and beautifully re-done. It was very close to beautiful Cotswold towns like Painswick, , Stroud, Cirencester. We had wonderful neighbors that included sheep, cows and birds. The owners dog and cats welcomed us upon arrival. They were very sweet. Wonderful trip! Highly recommend this place!

Beautiful country farm outside a small village in the heart of the Cotswolds. Place was just as described. Very clean, comfortable and modern interior with heated floors. Carolyn, the hostess, was super nice and easily accessible to answer any questions or concerns. Stayed there almost 3 weeks and enjoyed every minute. Would highly recommend this place.

Beautiful Refinished Barn in the Cotswolds

We loved this little barn and would recommend it wholeheartedly. Lots of space for a family of 4. Beautiful views out the back doors. Lovely countryside. Conveniently located for a driving tour of the Cotswolds and surrounding areas. Clean, well-maintained, and peaceful. We had a little trouble finding the place, but the neighbors were very friendly and showed us the way. If you want a serene retreat in an area of natural beauty, this is your place!

Wonderful getaway for big birthday

An excellent stay in a beautiful location. Unfortunately we had a few issues receiving messages through the website from the owner, however, that aside the property itself was beautiful. Set in the most picturesque location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved our little visits from Hattie and Courgette. The property was perfect and idyllic cannot praise it high enough, it really is a five star property. The only thing I would add is a pair of oven gloves in the kitchen but that really is a minor thing. Would definitely recommend.

Stunning cottage in a beautiful location

We had a perfect 'get away' weekend in this fabulous cottage. The property has been converted in a superb and sympathetic way, with all the home comforts we needed to enjoy a relaxing stay in the beautiful surrounding countryside of the Costswolds. Carolyn was very helpful during the booking process and it was lovely to meet her when we arrived. The owners live next door, so although the cottage is completely private, it was nice to know that someone was on hand if we needed anything. There's lots of great walks and pretty villages in the immediate vicinity, so it's the perfect base for exploring too. It really is a fabulous place and we can't recommend it highly enough. p.s Download the Sonos app before you go and stream all your music via the inbuilt system.

Beautiful place, but missing a few things

Very beautiful renovated barn, and the view is great. However it was missing a few standard conveniences. We could not get the TV to work at all, there was a dvd player there with dvd’s, but that didn’t work either. We mentioned it to the gentleman on site. He said he would look into it, but never did. Fortunately the kids used their Ipad and could watch some things on there. Not all of the window shades worked. Being that the sun sets after 10pm and rises before 5am, it was difficult to get a full nights sleep. Also, there is no shower (which was mentioned in the listing). But the tub is not a large one. I am 6’4, and it was quite difficult for me to bathe. It also would have been nice to be able to wash our clothes somehow.

Mooi gerenoveerde stal met fraai uitzicht, maar niet praktisch ingericht.

Het huisje is zeer fraai ingericht en alles ziet er fraai uit. Daarbij is sinds niet gedacht aan gebruiksgemak en comfort. Er is alleen een bad met kranen en geen douchkop. De slaapkamer voor kinderen voelt erg hokkerig. Op de fotos was niet te zien dat het woonhuis grenst aan het huisje en zij vanaf een daar op het terras kunnen kijken.

Fabulous Barn

A fabulous luxury barn conversion in a beautiful quiet countryside location attached to a farm. The barn is stunning and beautifully renovated with underfloor heating, a log burner and a roll top bath. It was difficult to wash hair in the bath as there was no shower head but it was bliss soaking after a days walking. There are amazing uninterrupted views from the terrace and the balcony in the bedroom across the valley and plenty of walks from the door. The local pub ( Black Horse) was a short walk away in the village and served excellent basic pub food. It was a real local pub and wevhad a delicious traditional Sunday roast in front of a cosy log fire ( booking recommended as the pub is very small and popular with locals). The barn is within easy reach of Stroud and Cheltenham fir shops and pottering around. We’d also recommend visiting the National Arboretum at Westonbirt ( about 30 mins drive) , walking the footpaths across Painswick golf course to the beacon for stunning views , walking to Sheepscombe for lunch at the Butchers Arms and visiting Gloucester ( cathedral and Docks). Carolyn was extremely helpful and sorted out a few minor issues quickly. A lovely area and great accommodation.

Stunning spot

Very nicely converted barn with amazing views makes this a really cosy and peaceful place to stay. You know that you're getting a top quality place with not much around but close enough to nearby towns not to feel too isolated. 2nd room is well described....not for older kids. Ours 8 and 10 were fine with it. Carolyn was a really helpful and responsive host who provided a lot of useful info up front and also was quick to respond to questions in advance and during the stay. Highly recommended.

Lovely Cotswolds Gem

Our family of four (two adults, two kids) loved the property. It is tastefully decorated and cosy, and enjoys beautiful views over a valley. The listing notes the two limitations--the absence of a shower and the fact that the bunk bed will really only work if you have a small child on top. We made dinner most nights and were pleased to have sufficient cooking tools to do so. The fireplace was also nice on a few cool and rainy autumnal evenings. We also appreciated that we could recycle (so many of these properties don't!) and also all of the eco-friendly soap and washing up supplies. The owner also helpfully directed us to the farmer's market in Stroud (Saturdays) which was really impressive. A great stay at a lovely home--and a good base to explore all of the Cotswolds.

Nice getaway spot

My husband and I arrived straight to the cottage after a long flight into heathrow. Carolyn’s communication was very helpful and welcoming, making it an easy drive from the airport. We were excited to see that the property and views were even better than portrayed online. We took full advantage of the location, hiking to neighboring towns and pubs - Painswick & Sheepscombe are relatively easy to reach while the walking paths straight out the back door offered shorter adventures. Hattie was great company during our down time on the patio, a very well behaved dog! My husband was hesitant about renting a spot without a shower or hand held, but the tub was perfectly good. We have already suggested the rental to friends and do hope to return!

The perfect getaway

We had 8 days of rest and relaxation in this delightful property which is uncluttered and very restful to stay in. The views are stunning and we enjoyed nothing more than sitting on the patio or upstairs balcony and reading our books. There are plenty of walks nearby, and we particularly enjoyed Sapperton for the church and the pub as well as the walks along the old canal. Perfect mini moon getaway

Really wonderful place to stay with amazing views, perfect for a romantic few days away. The property has been done up beautifully. The bed and sofa were incredibly comfortable and the under floor heating made it really cosy for our evenings in.

Lovely weekend away!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the barn this weekend, and we felt at home as soon as we arrived! After a long drive up with road diversions, we were pleased to arrive somewhere so inviting! Had everything we needed for the stay, and Carolyn was just at the end of the phone to give help and advice during the stay. I particularly enjoyed waking up in the morning and watching the lambs from the balcony!

We are a family of 4 children, 1 dogs, 3 cat, ponies, chickens, ducks and sheep. We live on a quiet organic farm, on the outskirts of Cranham. We are very new to holiday renting, but have enjoyed renovating our 3 properties to the highest standards. A 5 star experience for you is very important to us - our farm house we are on hand but will leave you in peace.
