Charakteristische Wohnung im historischen Zentrum von Siena

Kleine Wohnung im historischen Zentrum ca. 400 Meter von der Piazza del Campo entfernt, ideal für den Aufenthalt von zwei Personen. Es befindet sich im 3. Stock eines beliebten historischen Gebäudes, das mit einem Aufzug in der Wohngebäudetreppe ausgestattet ist. Es verfügt über ein Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett und Blick auf einen privaten Innenhof, ein Badezimmer mit einer großen Duschkabine und eine Wohnküche mit zwei Fenstern auf der öffentlichen Straße. Es ist mit WLAN, LCD-TV und DVD-Player ausgestattet.
Das Doppelzimmer verfügt über ein Doppelbett, das in zwei Einzelbetten umgewandelt werden kann, oder kann auf Anfrage mit einem Kinderbett ausgestattet werden.
Das Wohnzimmersofa ist ein Einzelbett mit Unterbett und ermöglicht es Ihnen, ein Doppelbett oder ein weiteres Einzelbett zusätzlich zu haben (3. und 4. Bett). Es ist gepolstert und mit einem hölzernen Lattenrost versehen.
Die Wohnung ist mit Waschmaschine, Bügeleisen und Bügelbrett ausgestattet. Die Wäsche kann im Außenspanner in der Gebäudefassade oder im im Schrank befindlichen Innenspanner getrocknet werden.
Das Haus befindet sich in einer verkehrsberuhigten Zone mit der Möglichkeit, kostenlos oder gegen Gebühr in unmittelbarer Nähe zu parken (ca. 250 m).
In Richtung Piazza del Campo, entlang der Via Pantaneto, gibt es viele Geschäfte: Restaurants, Pizzerien, Bars, einen Supermarkt, einen Ofen, eine Wäscherei. In Richtung Porta Pispini und Porta Romana ist die Gegend wegen der Anwesenheit von Schulen und Universitäten sehr beliebt. Die Kirche von S. Spirito und die Basilica dei Servi sind ganz in der Nähe und ideal für einen Spaziergang, der sich von den üblichen Touristenströmen unterscheidet. Sie bieten grüne Ecken und einen besonderen Blick auf die Stadt und die sie umgebende Landschaft.
Die Wohnung kann auch als Ausgangspunkt für tägliche Routen in der Provinz Siena wie im Val d'Orcia verwendet werden: Pienza, San Quirico d'Orcia; oder Montalcino, San Gimignano und das historische Chianti-Gebiet.

Nothing "tylocal" about it! This is the perfect flat from which to explore the best of Siena.

This charming apartment in a lovingly-updated 13th century building is right in the heart of Siena, only minutes by foot from everything the city has to offer. It's convenient, too, with a supermarket, bakery, pizzeria, tobacconist, and laundry service (if you're too tired from exploring to use the washing machine in the flat) less than a minute away. The flat is very comfortable, has all the mod cons, and also offers intriguing glimpses of authentic Sienese life. Our hostess went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible, stocking the flat with books and DVDs about Siena and environs, stocking the flat with essential "extras," and responding within minutes to every question we asked. If you're traveling to Siena, stay here. You'll be so glad you did!

A lovely apt in charming Siena

This is a really nice apt and the owner Francesca is most attentive to her guests. She met us at the apt and after we were settled drove with us to show us where outside the city walls to park for free. Where do I start with the apt? First off, the building is from the 14th century but it has been carefully and tastefully renovated for the 21st century while keeping the beauty of the original structure. No detail was overlooked by her father, a very accomplished architect. The bldg even has a small elevator and the apt has a working fireplace. The living/dining room has two large windows so the morning sun streams in creating a delightful, cheery space for breakfast or reading. The apt is appointed with so many nice touches. Francesca has put together a binder full of information on Siena from distances and directions around town to recommended restaurants with menus to must-see sites to particulars about the workings of the apt and more. The bed is super comfortable and bedroom window overlooks the garden courtyard between the buildings so again that room is bright. The bathroom is good sized with a handy towel bar heater. The kitchen is well equipped and even has lovely serving dishes and trays and wine glasses. These are not cast-offs or mismatched items; rather, they are pretty sets of dishes and stemware for the apt. There are also foodstuffs for your use: large bottle of water, tea, coffee, sugar, oil, balsamic vinegar and the like. The handy washing machine comes with a collapsible rack on which to dry your clothes or you can string them out the windows as the locals do. Siena is a gem of a town that should not be missed. The main square Il Campo is HUGE and townspeople as well as tourists treat it as the focal/meeting point. It is as if it is an open park or beach area in that people sit on the ground to eat, to mingle, to appreciate their surroundings, to meditate, to read - just use it. It is not only a pass through space. There are lots of things to see in Siena but do allow time for walking through the neighborhoods to get a feel for the town and then also sitting in Il Campo at various times of day or evening. Siena is very inviting and Francesca's L'Oliviera 3 is a great place to start. We heartily recommend the apt and look forward to our next visit to Siena and stay at Francesca's.

El apartamento es muy acogedor. En estos días de frío siempre se agradece la perfecta temperatura al llegar. Está prácticamente en el centro a escasos minutos de todo. Al lado del apartamento todo tipo de tiendas. Sin duda si volvemos a Siena volveremos a casa de Francesca que además ha sido una perfecta y amable anfitriona. Todo facilidades. Nos dio miles de explicaciones al llegar. Lo recomiendo sin ninguna duda!!!!

We had a wonderful stay in Siena at this apartment. The location is great, close to everything but quiet and a great neighbourhood. The apartment is well designed and has all the amenities. Francesca was a brilliant host - providing information and support way beyond what would be expected. We're looking forward to a return visit.

Very clean and well maintained apartment and a hostess that I would give 10 out of 10.

A wonderful hostess, Francesca, met us at the door of the apartment and spent quite a bit of time showing us around, explaining everything that we needed to know, recommending grocery stores, and restaurants. She also explained some of the history of Siena and the neighborhood contrade. This apartment is perfectly located for experiencing the historic center of Siena. Comfortable lodging in a good location

A notch above the typical Homeaway rental experience. Francesca prepared a rich information packet about Siena and its attractions. The apartment was well-stocked with cooking condiments, including coffee. Location is very good, close to good eating, a grocery store, and Piazza del Campo. Bus stop for Florence (and other places) is an easy 15 minute walk away. Francesca also has posted simple instructions for summoning a taxi via text; we used it and a car arrived in just five minutes.

Delightful apartment in quiet Siena neighborhood.

This apartment is spacious, clean, quiet, and well appointed. It includes a lift, which is great for the luggage. Host provided a binder full of information on the neighborhood--both restaurants we tried were off the beaten path and delicious. Host met us at the apartment when we arrived and provided her personal walk-through and welcome. Would definitely return here!

Beautiful apartment in a great location!

This beautiful apartment had everything we needed, I.e., a kitchen, a washing machine, a drying rack, and the bedroom was separate from the living/dining area. There was a grocery store just around the corner and many wonderful restaurants and shops. It was easy walking distance to the Duomo and museums, etc. Francesca was very helpful in answering our questions prior to and during our visit. She also helped us arrange for a cab to the bus station. We really enjoyed our stay in Siena! Just one footnote, watch out for the step in the bathroom.

Enchanting

This apartment is ideal. well located near to El Campo (6 to 7 minutes on foot) and the historical sites, but not so close that you are in the midst of the crowds of tourists. The apartment itself is charming and well equiped. Francesca is helpful and very accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would come again if we are in the area.

Siena holiday

We loved our stay in Siena and our stay in Francesca's apartment. It is perfectly located and has everything you would need for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. We would both happily return to it and unhesitatingly recommend this apartment to any would be visitors to Siena. It was our first visit to Siena, both my wife and I loved it. It is full of beautiful, interesting, historical buildings which are full of wonderful art, sculptures, carvings and much else. The streets, alleyways and piazzas are very clean, inviting and lovely for getting lost in. The locals are very polite, friendly and helpful and the myriad bars, restaurants and shops are all extremely welcoming. A world class city that Italy and Italians can be proud of.

Amazing stay!

Our stay , this past May , at the apartment in Siena was the most wonderful experience we had in all of our vacation in Italy! The location of the apartment is perfect...close to a grocery store, shopping and delightful restaurants. It is spacious , very comfortable ,and fully equipped with everything you need to feel “at home” in Sienna !.... A quiet haven to return to after long days of sightseeing and discovering the beauty and wonders of Siena! Yet, what made it most memorable is our host, herself ......Francesca. She is a wonderful ambassador for Siena.....a true and generous person with advice, help when needed and above all .....friendship ! We cherish our time in Oliviera and will return again, and again! Wonderful apartment in a great location!

We loved our stay at Francesca's beautiful apartment. The apartment is elegant and comfortable. The views from the front and back are magical, in the first place a great view of the "street" and in the second a view of a beautiful courtyard. Francesca is a terrific host, warm and welcoming. She took time to tell us about the history of the building, oriented us to everything, and was responsive to our needs. We had a snafu in travel plans that affected our time of arrival, and Francesca was flexible and gracius in working with us. She has an infectious love for Siena, and we learned a lot from her about the city and the locale, through talking and from a thoughtful binder she provides for guests. Our only regret was that we did not have more time to explore Siena's history and sites. We hope to come back on our next trip.

Perfekte Ferienwohnung im Zentrum von Siena

Zentral gelegen, 5 Minuten zum Campo und eine Minute mehr zum Dom - und trotzdem ruhig - besser geht es nicht. Dazu noch ein Lift, der den "Aufstieg" in die zweite Etage erleichterte. Ausstattung perfekt, sehr sauber, alles da, was man so braucht. Sehr informative Zusammenstellung von Unterlagen mit Informationen über Siena. Francesca ist telefonisch immer zu erreichen und hilft in allen Lebenslagen. Wir waren eine Woche vor Ort und empfehlen die Wohnung uneingeschränkt für einen Stadtaufenthalt. Einziges Problem: Man kann mit dem eigenen Wagen nicht "bis vor die Tür" fahren, da die Zufahrt zur Altstadt gesperrt ist. Auch Parken ist ein Problem. Wir waren ohne Fahrzeug unterwegs, haben uns mit dem Taxi vom und zum Bahnhof bringen lassen (10€) und hatten daher diese Probleme nicht. Wenn Siena, dann wieder in diese Wohnung.

Lovely apartment, close to everything

Enjoyed my stay. Francesca was a lovely hostess. Close to everything. Fully equipped kitchen but I ate out mostly. Francesca"s suggestions were great!. Best restaurant in Siena is right around the corner. Loads of information from hostess about Siena to help you best enjoy your stay.

Perfetto !!!

Clean, Comfortable, Cozy!

This was the perfect place to stay in Siena. The apartment is spotless clean and feels much bigger than it appears in the picture. The bed was comfortable. The shower was great. It is close to everything you need and Francesca was very helpful. I highly reccomend staying here!
