We loved the location of Perfect Place. Located in a quiet neighborhood, with a beach access point down the road and also close to a terrific playground plus restaurants and shops. Joan and Gerry are good hosts and the house was a good size for my family of 4.

Blocks from all the activities

This place was perfect for a small family beach getaway. Blocks away from the beach, and only a few blocks from the harbor and all the food and fun.

Quiet location that is walkable to beach and restaurants

This house was very clean and quiet. Beds were comfortable and you can walk to beach, restaurants and shops. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Great location, everything we needed

Very clean and fully stocked home (dishes, linens and cleaning products), walking distance from beach and town. The owners let us use their beach chairs so one less thing to worry about cramming in our car! Plenty of space for Pack & play for our infant. Great stay, we enjoyed very much.

Close to town, close to the beach

Just wrapped up our stay, and had a great time. The property was spotless, the kitchen well-stocked, and it has beautiful hardwood floors throughout. There is a nice garden outside too. The owners were helpful, but not intrusive. I’d gladly stay here again.

Great vacation rental spot

Property was convenient to down town (walking distance) and a short drive to the beach. Nice quiet setting to sit and have mor ing coffee and plenty of space to accommodate our family of 4. Owner welcomed us with a nice assortment of snacks, water and ice to get us started. Overall a nice, easy, worry free stay for our summer vacation to South Haven.

Luv South Haven & this house

My family & I had a great time visiting loved ones that live in South Haven, MI. This house was perfect for our needs. We walked to all the shopping. Walked to the beach for evening sunsets & an ice cream cone. The house was clean...lovely decor, including great windows w/ lots of sunlight ! The grill was perfect for our small family gatherings. And, a cute patio area surrounded by beautiful flowers. Thanks for making our family time full of special memories !

Perfect Location

This is a great place to stay when vacationing in South Haven. You are just blocks from the downtown area or the beach. The house is very comfortable and the hosts were very gracious. Our favorite room was the dining area that had windows on two sides. Great place to eat or play games. The house is as pictured. All the rooms are spacious. Kitchen had plenty of room with an island for two plus an eat-in area. Extra blankets in the living room. And the location is wonderful. The neighborhood is quaint. Just a couple blocks from a bike path that leads to Kal-Haven State Park. We had a wonderful time and took advantage of everything around us.

All the basics, good location

This property was a good fit for our family of 4. It was just close enough to the beach to be walkable, and an easy walk to downtown South Haven. It was clean and the kitchen was well-equipped with all the basics. Joan thoughtfully provides a bag of ice bc the ice maker in the fridge is disconnected. The apartment has great light from the big windows, nice porch and yard. The street was not super busy, but cars going by were definitely audible. It would have been nice to have a Brita pitcher or other source for filtered water, and darker/blackout curtains for sleeping in a bit.

Great Place and Hosts

This was a great place for a mid-summer getaway to South Haven. The house layout is great with bedrooms in the back, kitchen/breakfast room in the middle, and dining room and family room at the front. Plenty of room for most any activity you might need. The location is ideal. It's close to both downtown and the south beach. The neighborhood was quiet even in mid-July. We had good weather on our visit; open windows with all of the ceiling fans kept us comfortable day and night. Bathroom is dated, but clean and functional. The hosts were accommodating and communicated well. They live downstairs, which was not clear from the description, but not an issue. South Haven itself was fantastic. Great beaches, good food (be prepared to wait if you go out to dinner), and the local Maritime Museum gives tours on a variety of boats (I highly recommend the sloop, Friend's Good Will).

Not the friendliest

Clean place. 15 minute walk up and down hills to South Beach. Worst hosts we've ever come across. Rude, condescending, not a pleasure. Would never stay here again just because we never want to drive up to a VRBO and have the owner yell at us upon arrival. Not even a hello. They also charged us extra with no explanation. I'd find another place in South Haven with kinder owners. They also live downstairs and monitor your waking movements.

Hannah booked number of guest and brought more than booked. Her Mother had called and asked if she could come with more people than we allow and we had said no. Mother arrived even after our phone conversation and email confirmation with more guests than booked. This guest was smoking which we do not allow. Guest had blood stained sheets and mattress pads which had to be tossed. Guest could have told us about the stain when it happen but let it sit for days. Guest broke screen door. All of our guest have been so nice and friendly and respected our home. This is the first guest that we have had that trash our home. Guest is not happy with charges for damages.

Great location, perfect space

Really enjoyed our week here for a quick getaway before the end of summer. The house was the perfect location to access everything! The owners were wonderful and thoughtful. We enjoyed our stay and exploring the area that is all in walking distance. Highly recommend for a family stay!

Nice house I'm good location

Just a ten minute walk from the south beach through a wonderfully charming neighborhood. This home is on an easy to access corner lot. The street in front of the house is also a couple blocks from downtown and good restaurants. Clean home, great hardwood floors. Ac in most rooms that works well. Top all that with friendly, easy going but not intrusive host who live downstairs. This was a very nice place to say especially for how well priced a night it is in this neighborhood. Would definitely stay here again.
