La Gardenia 2007, 2008, 2009

The accommodation was as described and everything you would need for a self catering holiday. The gardens and pool are beautifully kept.

The location is perfect with a fantastic view over Mahon harbour and easy walking distance into Cala Fonts with its good selection of restaurants/bars where you can watch the world go by on foot and on boats.

Three times here is a good recommendation and we will probably be back again soon.

We have just returned from our holiday, after 2 wonderful weeks in this apartment.The apartment was very clean and had everything you would need in it.The patio out the back realy is a lovely sun trap we use to eat out there in the evenings,and made full use of the patio in the front when the children were in the pool. We loved relaxing in the gardens watching the boats.There are some very nice resturants in Cales fonts which is just a short walk away, we were lucky enough to be there for the fiesta. We would to come back to this apartment next year.

Lovely apartment!

We have just come back from a 2 week stay at this apartment in La Gardenia and had a lovely holiday with fantastic weather.

The apartment has all you would ever need on holiday and a big plus point for us was a comfortable bed!

The property managers were at the complex regularly and it was nice to know if we had any queries that they would soon be dealt with. the owners were also extremely helpful and the booking process was very easy and simple.

I particularly appreciated the supply of basic groceries on arrival as it meant we could just relax on arrival and shop later.

It was great to be on the ground floor for ease of access around the complex and the pool is literally on the doorstop without feeling it is in your way.

Most rooms had a ceiling fan which was a must as it was very hot whilst we were there and the shutters meant we could have the windows and patio doors open for air flow but still felt safe and secure.

My only bit of advice would be that the view of the harbour from the rear patio is very limited and if you were planning on sitting out to watch the boats you would need to move your chairs etc further round the garden. But on the plus side the rear patio is a fantastic sun trap and great for drying clothes super fast!

On the whole I would definitely recommend this apartment and would certainly consider coming back here.

Good to hear that you made full use of the rear patio, which is one of the largest ones attached to any of the ground floor apartments in La Gardenia, and that the weather confirmed its reputation as a premier sun trap! We feel that the front of the apartment forms a secure, almost fully enclosed, area by the pool, which has the advantage of easy supervision of children, The rear patio allows sheltered al fresco dining, and also easy access to the very large rear lawn, with its view of the world's second largest natural harbour, stretching from Mahon city to La Molla on the opposite headland. Many thanks for your review - we hope to have you back at No. 38 in the future!

Lovely La Gardenia!

We have had a fantastic week staying at La Gardenia - the stylish apartment was superb. It is well appointed and has everything you could wish for. I especially appreciated the mesh covers to put over your dishes of food as you were laying the table for lunch!

The large dining table on the rear patio was great and we had many al fresco meals which we are missing now we are back in the rainy UK!

It was particularly relaxing to be on the ground floor, being able to wander in and out the french windows at the front and rear of the property.

The owner was very helpful and was able to answer our many questions before our trip. The gardens are beautiful and we found lots of lovely restaurants at Calas Fonts. We are just trying to work out when we can go back next year, I can’t wait!

Excellent location with good access to other parts of the island.Apartment well furnished and maintained. Dual views from the apartment means you can dine in private at the rear of the property with a seaview or enjoy sunbathing by the pool. We have visted La Gardenia twice now and would not hesitate to recommend the apartment-in fact we are going to book for next year!

La Gardenier 2007

We stayed in this apartment in July 2007 at have since visited Menorca in 2008 and stayed at the opposite end of the island.

I thought I would write this review as we thought the standard of furnishings and decor were top class. (We were spoilt). If you appreciate quality ( pure cotton sheets, 'proper' coat hangers, leather settee, a fully fitted kitchen with lots of utensils, a decent quality mattress ) These are just a few of the little things that makes your holiday that bit special.

The location is perfect with a fantastic view over Mahon harbour and watching the boats becomes a favourite pastime.
