The Desert Casita is conveniently located near Catalina State Park which has beautiful hiking trails for every level. It’s also a short drive to Tucson attractions such as Tohono Chol and the beautiful Mt. Lemmon Drive. The casita was very comfortable and the grounds are charming. It was very hot for a few days and I enjoyed relaxing in the pool. The A/C also worked perfectly. We cooked most evenings and the kitchen had everything we needed. I used the BBQ one night and it worked perfectly.Our hosts, Carol and Greg were welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much. Everything was as presented, a lovely oasis in the Sonoran Dessert!

This is our second time saying the casita and it was just as amazing as the first time. Nothing beats the mountain sunset and sunrise. Carol is an awesome host. I cannot recommend this place enough.

What a wonderful place to stay! The host worked with us when we had to reschedule because of an emergency. We finally got to take our short vacation. The property is just like it is portrayed - only better! We drove around a lot doing touristy things - what a delightful, restful place to return to. Magnificent views; a beautiful, restful desert-scape yard with an abundance of birds to watch (who doesn't love watching gambrel's quail run around, or see an owl land in the tree in the morning, or having a cardinal stare at you through the window). There is pretty little pool to cool off in and a nice rooftop deck to enjoy in the evenings and look at the stars. The casita is roomy and tastefully decorated with a nice size kitchen, big shower and comfortable bed. And the host was so accommodating and very easy to work with, just extremely nice and welcoming. With so many things to do in the area, this was an excellent choice for us.

We were greeted by bunnies running across the yard. Carol is an excellent host and showed us around the casita and grounds. The very private Casita was beautifully appointed with a well-equipped kitchen, dining table for 4 and very comfortable couch with a large tv. The separate bedroom had a comfortable bed and couch. The decorations everywhere are so charming. Then there is the property, WOW! So many places to enjoy the views in quiet. From the stunning pool to the expansive views on the upper deck - watch a fabulous sunset. Highly recommend a stay at this unique, beautiful property!

Our stay at Cloud Nine was a bona fide sanctuary that more than lived up to its name—honestly, the most beautiful place we’ve ever stayed. This was the first of what we imagine will be many visits.We loved the absolute privacy and the multiple outdoor sitting areas where we could just relax into the greenery. Waking up early for coffee and bird-watching was blissful, the pool & hot tub were a wonderful luxury, and the mountain sunsets were truly mind-blowing. Despite being in town for a memorial, we found ourselves spending most of our time at the casita because it was just so stunning and restorative.The house itself was spotless and stocked with everything we could possibly need; the bed was incredibly comfortable and the free laundry was a much-appreciated bonus.Carol and Gregory are exceptional hosts. Carol gave us a wonderful tour upon arrival, and both were prompt and easy to reach while giving us plenty of privacy. They even made sure the bird feeders were filled daily! It was a joy to chat with them when we had the chance—Carol is an inspiring artist. It was very hard to leave!

This was our second visit to Cloud Nine, and found it just as we remembered. The Casita is comfortable with all the basic amenities covered for an extended stay. Since we were there for a month, use of a washer and dryer was especially appreciated. The outside spaces are wonderful with lots of seating to view the mountains and watch the birds feeding in the yard. We were treated to an unprecedented heat wave during our stay, so outside activities were limited to early morning hikes (the trails are walkable from the Casita), and sitting in the lounges in the shade in the late afternoon, but nevertheless we ver much enjoyed our stay. Thanks, Carol, and bon voyage wherever your next travel adventure takes you!

The Casita at Cloud Nine is the most wonderful place to kick back and enjoy a get away from it all. With its beautiful views of the Catalina foothills, the variety of wildlife right outside your window, the opportunity to watch the stars from your own rooftop and the hiking trails just steps away … you couldn’t ask for anything more. Even though we were out exploring almost every day … we knew we had a comfortable and peaceful place waiting at the end of the day. As for Carol our amazing hostess … you will not find anyone more eager to make sure your stay is as comfortable and perfect as it can be! The casita was set up for everything you might need but if you happened to be missing something Carol was there to help. We have already recommended the casita to friends and will return again with any trip to the Tucson area. THANK YOU for a wonderful stay!

Carol welcomed us upon our arrival and gave us a quick tour. She was an excellent host with great communication and immediate replies to any questions we had. The casita is clean and had everything we needed for our two week stay. Beds are comfortable and we slept well after spending our days hiking on the nearby trails. The neighborhood is quiet and only a short drive to grocery and restaurants. We highly recommend.

The home is a gem—Carol and Gregory were awesome hosts, making me feel right at home right away. The grounds are wonderful —I enjoyed the hot tub, observation deck (the stars are amazing!), and nearby mountain bike and hiking trails. Can't wait to be back!

Excellent host. Great communication. Nice personnal touches like a quick tour on arrival to get us settled and a welcome basket of wine and snacks. Mountain Hide Out

Could not have found a place any better than this for our trip. Location a bit off the beaten path, but that is what makes it unique. Every thing you need is close. Although we shared the property with the Host, you would never know they were there. Large property to share. Property is about 30 min drive north of Tucson, in the foot hills of the Catalina Mtns.

The Cloud Nine Casita was the perfect place for our quick getaway. Carol was a great hostess and shared a great hiking trail close to Casita. We are big into cycling. A magical oasis

This property does not disappoint! The grounds are lovely and inviting, and the birds! Oh my goodness. A bird watchers dream. The casita is charming, beautifully decorated and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. The host was friendly and responsive to all our questions/needs. We will definitely be back!
