Come enjoy the location; from sunrise to sunset, the Catalina mountains never disappoint. This Southwestern, family-oriented vacation rental is offered by a caring owner, not a management company. Situated north of downtown Tucson in a quiet neighborhood, this house provides the perfect mix of seclusion and convenience. While the setting is peaceful, you'll appreciate proximity to shopping, entertainment, dining and numerous outdoor opportunities including hiking and golf. Easy access and parking makes visiting a breeze.
Indoors you will find high ceilings, a spacious Primary Retreat with Arizona room, an eat-in kitchen with a breakfast bar and a formal dining room. The floor plan offers fantastic open areas while the bedrooms are private and peaceful. This bright, airy, and clean retreat welcomes you to dive in to reading a book, play a board game or chess or fire up some competition with a full-size ping-pong table available for guests’ use at the back of the oversized garage. High speed internet and smart TVs plus charging stations throughout the home allow you to be connected as needed. Catalina Vista AZ really is a gem.
THE DETAILS-- Four spacious bedrooms provide ample space for your stay. The primary bedroom features a king bed with comfortable linens and a large dresser, so you have room to unpack and unwind. This bedroom also features a smart TV, and a walk-in closet. The en-suite bathroom has plenty of storage and its own skylight. This bathroom has an updated massage shower head with handheld option, and bench for a relaxing walk-in shower experience. Retreat to the “Arizona Room,” your private area adjoining the primary bedroom, set up for your own yoga or weight training sessions. The second bedroom has a king bed and dresser. The third bedroom has twin beds in addition to a hand painted wall mural adding to the southwest decor. The fourth bedroom/den has a twin daybed with trundle and walk-in closet in addition to a basic desk and chair. Each bedroom has its own ceiling fan, closet, luggage rack, laundry basket, and charging station for your personal devices located on the bedside clock. These rooms are just off the full main bath which is bright and light due to another skylight. Our wireless home network provides free high-speed internet.
You will enjoy the inviting living space and high ceilings, with a one step sunken living room and ample seating with new leather couch and matching oversized swivel chairs, plus a reading nook. There is a new 65 inch 4K smart TV with Roku streaming. The Northeastern orientation of the living and dining rooms provides the best of early morning warmth and spectacular sunrise views of the mountains. The fourth bedroom/den can be a second seating area with use of the day bed. Ornamental fireplaces add charm to the décor, while the home uses heating and air conditioning units combined with ceiling fans in all of the living areas to keep you comfortable year round.
The chefs in your family will love the well-equipped kitchen, with solid surface countertops, new refrigerator and microwave, toaster, and full supply of pots/pans and cooking implements. We've even stocked some spices, oils, and condiments for your convenience. There is a separate coffee bar for your favorite coffee or tea preparation in the dining area with a carafe and pod brewer, and hot water kettle.
Extra hats, umbrellas, yoga mats, tennis rackets, children’s tennis rackets are available for guests.
The property has a laundry space with full sized washer and dryer units. Solar panels allow for an environmentally friendly visit supplying enough energy for the home and replenishing leftover power back to the community.
Outside, take advantage of the Arizona sun or relax and read under the shade structure in the enclosed patio outdoor room. On average, there are 286 sunny days per year in Tucson. Picture yourself sitting on the patio with panoramic views of the Catalina Mountains. Enjoy the Eastern horizon as the mountain shadows change into a tapestry of colors. The almost acre of land connects to large natural spaces where you'll see a variety of wildlife. In the evening, you can watch the Tucson lights and the sky come alive with beautiful sunsets that never disappoint.
THE LOCATION -- Golf, you ask? To the North, and less than 5 miles away (9min away by car) is the El Conquistador Golf Course with 2 championship golf courses and an expansive practice facility. To the West, about 5.5 miles away (14min away by car) is the Omni Tucson National Resort which offers two 18 hole championship golf courses plus practice facility. A little over 6 miles by car to the East is The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa which offers a 27-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course. Other golfing options include Pusch Ridge Course (4.3 miles), Tucson National Golf Course (5.5 miles), Crooked Tree Golf Course (7.1 miles) and Silverbell Golf Course (10.1 miles).
Just a short walk away, you can make your way up the hill to the Westward Look Resort which offers multiple pools, a fitness center and 8 tennis courts available with a day pass (www.resortpass.com). La Encantada, Tucson’s beautiful outdoor mall with its great restaurants, coffee and gelato shops, gourmet grocery store and assortment of boutiques, and home and clothing stores is only moments away.
Specific for traveling nurses and physicians, there are plenty of hospitals within a reasonable commuting distance, including Banner, Oro Valley Hospital, Northwest Hospital, and TMC.
OTHER DETAILS— Because this property is located in a very quiet neighborhood and we respect our neighbors and want to maintain our good neighbor status, this property is NOT appropriate for those that wish to have a loud party.

We had excellent communication with the host. House had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We enjoyed this rental very much. The view was amazing especially with the palo verde trees in bloom when we arrived. And, everyone enjoyed drinking coffee before the sun came up over the Catalina Mountains. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, and essential spices. The house was very clean and in a quiet location. We did have a couple of hiccups but the communications with the owner were excellent and he was able to solve the problems quickly. The location is perfect because of the stores--Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, and Safeway. This is a great bargain. Lance and Nancy

Scott’s place is an amazingly comfortable. Living room seating was great - couch and chairs good for hours of movie watching. Outside patio has great seating and a stunning view of the Catalina’s. Beds were perfect. I’m usually done with not-my-bed after 3 days but these beds were so good we’ll probably get one like it when we get home! Kitchen was amazingly stocked - all the cooking stuff you’ll ever need. Great kid stuff10/10 stay

This house was immaculate. The kitchen was very well equipped and had everything we needed and more. The large living room is light filled and has comfortable couches and chairs. The outdoor areas give a wonderful view of the Catalina mountains. The property is in a secluded, quiet area, but shopping and restaurants are very close by. The convenience matched with the peaceful setting is unique.

Nice House in a Great Location
We recently stayed 4 nights here and loved it. The house has everything you need plus lots of little extras that were quite nice. The location is nice and quiet with lots of things to do and places to eat very close by. Communication with the owner was quick and easy. Next time we are in Tucson, we will try to stay here again.

Amazing Property
This property is a super cozy and comfortably appointed home in a truly lovely neighborhood. The hood is highly walkable, and the desert views are outstanding. The neighbors are friendly and quiet. My wife and I both love this property, which is nestled in the foothills of the Catalina mountains, has a great view in several directions, has comfortable distance between neighbors, has nice desert landscaping, and is quiet. It has been a great retreat for us. Yes, it's quiet but it's also convenient. It is located within a 10-minute drive of our favorite grocers and bakers and within 15 minutes of most of our favorite restaurants. It is more house than the four of us needed but we did love having the space. Scott and Victoria are excellent landlords, so responsive to what few needs/questions we had. Scott was really informative during a day long internet outage (certainly not his fault!). This was our second stay (both of 6weeks) at this property and we hope to be back again!

Quiet Comfortable Home with Views
We enjoyed this beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood with gorgeous views of the Catalina’s. The newly landscaped yard and patio was a perfect place to sip our morning coffee as the sun was coming up. The home is well appointed with lots of amenities and minutes away from shopping, restaurants, attractions and hiking trails. Communication with the owner was easy. We would not hesitate to stay here again when visiting Tucson.

A Foothills Retreat Within a City
We feel so privileged to have spent 6 weeks in this spacious, very pleasant, relaxing foothills hideaway within just minutes of the conveniences and services of the city -- and no unpaved roads!When we could, we especially enjoyed spending time on the patio, lounging there, reading and watching the scenery and wildlife. The streets were quiet so we would take walks through the somewhat sparsely neighborhoods. As this property is in the foothills, such walks had their ups and downs but were not particularly strenuous.The house itself is attractive decorated with going overboard -- and it's very practically laid out, so long as one remembers to watch for the one step down into the living room. Two thumbs up! We plan to be back!

Convenient Location and Comfortable
Remarkably close to all the conveniences and dining. Very quiet at night and inside the comfortable and well-appointed house, but during the day you can hear some Oracle road traffic, though it’s about 3/4 of a mile as the crow flies and invisible behind the nice local terrain. It’s a great trade off if you want so many things at your fingertips.
The neighbors were all quiet, but the one on the patio side of the house is closer and more visible when you are sitting there. I wished for a garage remote control that I could have taken in my car, and a table of some kind on the patio.
The owner was super easy and cordial to communicate with and we enjoyed our stay very much. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a good compromise between convenience and quiet/privacy.

So glad that you enjoyed your visit! We have started a landscaping project that will improve our patio and add some outdoor amenities beyond chairs and a table. We expect to be finished with this project by the end of the summer so that guests can utilize the new features starting this fall. Sorry that we don't have a remote for the garage door available for guests. We felt that it would be nice to allow guests to use our large garage, but we weren't sure how best to provide access. We thought that it would be too easy to forget to return a remote garage opener clipped on a car sun visor. Starting this fall, we also plan to use the smart lock on our front door as a keyless entry point and thereby also avoid the issue of lost house keys. We will keep our key holding lockbox as a backup for house access.
