Am Fuße des Tortolita-Gebirges mit herrlichem Blick auf das Catalina-Gebirge. Riesige Fenster ganz. Ideal Nordwesten Tucson Lage ... 7 Meilen östlich von der Interstate 10, östlich von Dove Mountain & neu eröffnete Ritz Carlton, 20 Minuten vom Flughafen. Keine Nachbarn in der Nähe, aber Sie sind nur Minuten von wunderbaren Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Kinos, Restaurants, etc. Fry's (Kroger) Superstore / Marktplatz 1 Meile. Chinesisches Restaurant im selben Zentrum.

Genießen Sie unsere überdachte Terrasse mit herrlicher Aussicht, Gasgrill und Terrasse. Wunderschön angelegten Grundstück mit einem "besonderen" Weg, der zu einer ruhigen Umgebung, wo Du eine Bank neben einem schönen, weitläufigen, Mutter Süßhülsenbaumbaum, riesigen Saguaro Kaktus und einer Arroyo (trockene Bachbett) zu finden.
Hören Sie die Kojoten heulen finden Luchse, big eared Buchse Kaninchen, gambel Wachteln, Straßenläufer, Kaktuszaunkönige, steigende roten Schwanz & Harris Hawks .... vielleicht sogar einige nächtliche javalenas (pecary ... sieht aus wie kleine Wildschwein).

Schöne 2 Meile Loop-Wanderung von der Casita durch unsere wunderschöne Sonora-Wüste.

Unsere Casita Del Sol (Little Sunshine House) hat ein großes Kingsize-Bett, Master-Suite mit Step-in-Dusche, zwei Waschbecken, einen begehbaren Kleiderschrank und Große Sichtfenster. Es enthält folgende Antiquitäten: Schminktisch, Eiche Kommode und Spiegelschrank. Die Königin Schlafzimmer liegt im Südwesten Geschmack eingerichtet und ist komplett einladend. Das 3. Schlafzimmer / Büro hat ein Doppelbett. Sie können eine sechste in der Antike Jenny Lind Tagesbett im Great Room schlafen. Zweite Badezimmer hat Badewanne mit Dusche. Es gibt reichlich natürliches Licht, schöne südwestlichen Fliesenböden im ganzen Haus und komfortable Klimaanlage / Gas-Wärme. Französisch Türen aus der Küche, auf der Wrap-around-überdachten Terrasse zu öffnen.

Overall it was a wonderful experience! Home was well-maintained, spacious and enjoyable. We did have a few issues, but the hosts handled with grace, including setting off the alarm system in the middle of the night opening the door from the house into the garage.Would definitely stay again!

Great location

We stayed over Thanksgiving while visiting family in Marana and Tucson. Location was great for us, and close proximity to shopping and restaurants. We joked that the casita was nicer than our first house! We’d definitely stay again.

Fantastic stay

We had an outstanding stay in a wonderful property. The tennis court was such a bonus for little tyker play area. The hosts are exceptional and the house was spotless, well equipped and super fun. The amazing birds at the feeder were so great to watch. The location is close to hikes, stores and parks.

Absolutely Amazing!

A Calming Place

Wonderful desert location!

My husband and I are seasoned travelers, and have had the good fortune to stay at Casita Del Sol for multiple winter get-aways. The house is beautiful, comfortable, and well taken care of, with all conveniences for a lovely, relaxed vacation. The location is simply amazing, amid acres of gorgeous desert scenery, and with views of the surrounding mountains. The hosts, who live nearby, are extremely hospitable and helpful. We can't rate this property highly enough!

The property was lovely, felt like we were out in the wilderness despite being off a main road. We loved watching the mountains change color throughout the day. An easy short hike thru the desert is close by. Property owners responded promptly to a battery request and checked on us during our stay, nice people. The house was immaculate. Peaceful and Beautiful Location

Casita Del Sol is a beautiful place to stay! We were surrounded by nature and close to several great hiking trails. We also attended our niece’s wedding in downtown Tucson just minutes away. Larry and Claire have made their Casita very comfortable with all the amenities you could possibly need. We are photography enthusiasts and birders and loved seeing an abundance of wildlife during our stay. We did not want to leave and expect to return again someday!

Casa del Sol -- great for hiking

We enjoyed our stay at Casa del Sol so very much! It's fairly equidistant to Saguaro West and Tucson Mountain Park vs. The Catalina Road up toward Mt. Lemmon and Sabino Canyon, then you've got Dove Mountain literally in the back yard and Romero Canyon fairly close -- so much to enjoy, and virtually everything in the house that you could need!! Larry and Claire are close at hand if you need anything, but not obtrusive. In short, an ideal paradise to call home for a couple weeks or more!!

Absolutely loved our stay!!

We really enjoyed staying at La Casita. The house was super-cute & spotless, the owners thoughtfully provided all sorts of extras (ie, enough paper products for our stay), and the grounds were stunning. We enjoyed that we could just go outside and enjoy the yard, tennis court and surrounding desert... just steps outside our front door. This location is a little far out of town, which affords privacy and desert beauty that you cannot find in Central Tucson- but also conveniently located because it was so easy to get anywhere we wanted to go. Claire and Larry were very kind and hospitable- undoubtedly above and beyond, which just made our stay even more enjoyable. Thank you, Claire and Larry, for sharing this wonderful home with travelers and providing such a fantastic experience! :)

Highly recommended

We stayed at Casita del Sol for six weeks ending in April, 2023. Claire and Larry were gracious and helpful hosts, but were not intrusive in any way. The casita was well-supplied with paper products and toiletries to last the entire length of our stay. The kitchen has all you need to make and serve any meal. Most casitas are small, but this one is spacious, with three bedrooms and two baths, which made it easy to host our two sets of overnight visitors. A walk-in closet, king-size bed and en suite bath make the master bedroom super convenient. There is wonderful bird life and Sonoran desert vegetation right outside the door. The nearby Tortolita trail systems offer varied hiking opportunities, and there are abundant bike trails close at hand. We highly recommend the facility and the Klinglers as hosts.

A wonderful repeat!

We just wrapped up our 2 week stay at the Casita del Sol for a hiking vacation; our second stay here in three years. What a wonderful home away from home! The location is perfect for a variety of activities; the Desert Museum, Sabino Canyon, Mt Lemmon & more are all a short drive away; other sightseeing opportunities & more hiking trails than one could imagine and while the house is in the desert with plenty of wildlife and birdlife to enjoy; grocery stores and other shopping just a short drive. It’s a perfect combination of living close to nature yet having the conveniences that we all appreciate. The house is very large; with plenty of space both inside and on the patio. A great BBQ and as someone who loves to cook while on vacation; the well equipped kitchen is very much appreciated. Comfy beds, great views from every window - and having wonderful hosts like Larry and Claire nearby, who are very responsive yet not intrusive; all contribute to a great Arizona experience! Great house and property and location. Furnishings including in kitchen are second rate.

The Property is now located near a road with noisy motor cycles and construction trucks breaking the desert silence, particularly during work hours. The place Is ok for short term rental but not ok for rental of over a week. Limited TV channels from new tvs in living room and master bedrroom. TV in 2nd bedroom is many years old. Good mattreses and lighting. Larry was very helpful in fixing problems. Given the condition of the furniture and furnishing the rental price shoiuld in my opinion be substantially reduced.

These guests are repeaters and waned to book again for a month next year, so their experience could not have been what they say it is. We asked the guests who arrived after them if the traffic bothered them, and they said absolutely not. You can see their review. The casita is a far distance from the road, and any sound carries a long distance no matter where you reside. These guests complimented us on our new 46" flat screen tv in the livingroom. There is a flat screen tv in the master bedroom and only an older model in the queen guest room, which works great. The channels are not limited as this guest stated. We have direct tv and at this time also showtime. We get all local channels and many many others offered with our direct tv programming. The diningroom table is a new, used and we consider 'charming' antique pine table. It is characteristic of the home with it's southwestern and antique furnishings which our guests love. Please see our other reviews, which are all 5 star and directly contradict what these guests stated. They are not returning next year and we regret that as repeat guests, from last year, who wanted to book another month for next year, felt the need to make any negative comments. Checkout the comments made by the guests who were here directly prior and after these guests. Come and see for yourselves. A wonderful place to stay with very welcome hosts.

I enjoyed my initial stay so much I extended my stay for as long as I could until the next booking came in. I've never so so at home in a place that wasn't my home before. The views are beautiful and the casa was very spacious and has everything you need. And I do mean anything! Hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome and responded quickly if we need anything.

Comfortable and Easy

A paradise on the outskirts of the city ❤️

This is a phenomenal place to have a weekend getaway or a vacation. The tennis court was so much fun and great exercise, even though nobody in our family has played before. The house is sophisticated and modern. The landscaping is lovely, and the view of the Catalinas is stunning. We spent time hiking around the property, watching sunsets on the porch, having lovely meals in the well equipped kitchen, and the host was so nice as to even let us use her amazing kid friendly s-pool! It was an incredible stay and we will return for sure. Thank you so much Claire and Larry!

Wonderful Casita

We really liked this casita. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The owners were great and made sure we were happy. The location was beautiful and private. Lots of wildlife. We saw a javelina passing through while we were sitting on the porch and then he came back through an hour or so later. We will definitely stay there again.

Casita Del Sol was built on our 10 acres, with it's garage and our home's garage facing each other for maximum privacy. Each home is on at least 5 acres. We are the owners, Larry & Claire Klingler. We love to travel around the world and also meet new people here at home. We hope you will come see us soon. We have a very unique setting, and private security gate(you will be given a remote for the gate and the garage).

We are at the base of the Tortolita Mountains on the far Northwest side of Tucson. Shopping centers are be minutes from us, but our only views, from high on a plateau, are of the Catalina & Tortolita Mountains, plus the gorgeous saguaro forest(cactus giants of our special Sonoran desert).

Das macht diese Unterkunft einzigartig

Because our property is on 10 acres and there are not many homes in our area, we get a tremendous amount of birds/wildlife. Javelina(pecaries), bobcats, fox, deer, jackrabbits, rock, roundtail and the antelope squirrels, coyote, roadrunners, and more....you may see gambel quail with their babies, or the flowering cacti if you are here at the right time of year. Our winter weather is savored by everyone, worldwide and our spring and fall seasons are fabulous. Contact us with any questions you may have. We are very friendly and easy to talk to.
