The perfect Parisian stay

This was the perfect place to spend 10 days in Paris - a lovely comfortable apartment overlooking the Eiffel Tower, a vibrant neighbourhood full of cafes, markets and restaurants but a quiet apartment. We explored Paris but loved the time just wandering the area, shopping with the locals then relaxing on the balcony with a wine and dinner, watching the tower twinkle (could even see it twinkle while lying in bed!)

We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Paris due in no small part to this flat! It was cozy, intimate, had a great view (see photos), and was in an excellent location. Close to two metro stops (Bastille and Voltaire), we navigated both the local arrondissement and the wide city of Paris with ease. Although we took advantage of the cuisine on offer at the many local cafés and bistros, the breakfasts and occasional dinners we prepared at home were tasty and easy thanks to the well-equipped yet compact kitchen and the plethora of food vendors in a 10 minute walk radius (can’t recommend Saveurs et vous at 112 r. de la roquette enough for some excellent French cheese!). The bathroom was very clean, recently updated, with a large glass shower and a washing machine! Despite the bed being a pull-out couch, we slept comfortably and deeply. Our sleep wasn’t disturbed by neighbours within or outside the building, regardless of how lively this quartier can be! Last but not least, our host Dominique was a pleasure to meet and was exceedingly accommodating — allowing us to check in early and taking the time to explain the finer details of the flat and building to us in person. She even recommended local eateries and we chatted about art and the current special exhibitions at museums in town. We’re already planning our next visit!

The Bastille

Stunning view of Eiffel Tower & Sacre Coeur. Bed was quite comfortable & it was great to have a bath after walking all day! Complex had lovely courtyard and was secure. Host answered all questions promptly, even though she was out of town.

Absolutely Charming Studio In The Middle Of Paris

Stayed at the studio in the Bastille area of Paris for my first trip to France with my boyfriend. Was absolutely charming! Great view of all of Paris from the balcony with an awesome view of the Eiffel Tower every night. Small kitchen but capable enough to whip up a 3 course meal... convenient and close to shops and the trains into the heart of Paris! No complaints! Will stay again!

Awesome view

A beautiful view of Paris landmarks from a large terrace brought us back for a second year. The apartment is attractive, romantic, and perfect for two people. A large Monoprix grocery is 5 to 10 minutes walk away, there are two convenient metro stations, and the area is full of cafes. We cooked all our meals in the efficient kitchen nook, using the two burner cooktop, microwave, and excellent coffee maker.

Wonderful!

Great studio; bright and spacious with a terrace and a stunning view of Paris! Everything you need for an extended stay. Very secure and quiet! Great location with a short access to several grocery stores, bakeries and metro stations! Dominique is a gracious host, she made sure I was comfortable by contacting me! Excellent... couldn't be better !

Top floor apartment with SW aspect: clear views of Eiffel, Notre Dame, Republic... everything ! Private, secure unit, set-back from street, so quiet at nite. Soft bed, quality linens: slept like the dead! Great big balcony: sip a wine, have dinner, while watching Eiffel twinkle ! Close to Metro, many cafes, Supermarket at front gate... perfect. Verry comfortable, homey feeling, fully equipped, nothing to add. Totally enjoyed our 3 weeks stay... did Paris properly ! 10/10 5 Stars Merci' Dominique

Perfectly Met our Needs

We absolutely loved this flat. It has wonderful security, and we felt very safe. The washing machine came in very handy, since the airline lost our luggage for several days. The view is amazing, and the location was fantastic! We didn’t stay in the flat during the day much, so we just kept the pull out sofa, which was quite comfortable, as a bed for our stay. Valerie and Dominique were wonderful with their communication. We plan to use this flat again one day.

Live like a Parisian.

Dominique's studio apartment was situated in a great area for bars,restaurants and great local shops.Our view over Paris skyline was amazing with Eiffel Tower to the left and to the right the beautiful Pere La Chaise cemetery. The property could do with a bit of repainting and a proper shower in bathroom.A very safe and secure accommodation. Great for short stay. Only other comment would be we couldn't get TV/DVD player to work.

Perfection

The studio on Rue de La Roquette was exactly as described. The view from the balcony on the 9th floor of this secure building was breathtaking. If you like to walk- Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Marais are within your grasp. Restaurants, bakeries, a convenience store within a couple of steps! Loved this fully equipped studio. Dominique and Valerie were easily accessible to answer any questions. There is no doubt we will return to this “our home in Paris”. Many thanks!

Wonderful stay in a great neighborhood with fantastic view

My mother and I really enjoyed our stay here. Being able to see the Eiffel Tower from the lovely balcony or even sitting in bed was an experience to remember. The neighborhood was fabulous with multiple Metro lines in easy walking distance and many shops close by that we visited frequently, including the boulangerie and the creperie. The only issues that we had was the lack of a shower as we weren't fond of baths but that is information in the listing so that's on us for not seeing it. The other issue was that the bathroom had a strong musty smell (possibly mold?) that was a bit distracting. But overall, we had a great visit.

Dominique - Thank you, it was a lovely stay. Appreciated your quick responses and kindness. The building is very quiet and peaceful and the unit is on the top floor. The location is perfect, right in the middle of the action and close to all transport. We walked most places. The kitchen has all you need. There are 2 grocery stores right next door. The larger store we got OJ, water, eggs, tea, Blini’s, and my favorite delicious plums. The bathroom was very clean with a washer in there. I was happy to wash my clothes as we were on a 30 day trip. I was able to do laundry while making breakfast vs having to find a laundromat in the neighborhood.We weren’t sure how comfortable a pull out couch would be but we slept like babies every night! The balcony is what drew me to this unit and it didn’t disappoint. We sat outside every night and had tea and pastry while looking at the Eiffel Tower, Sacré-Cœur Basilica and all the shimmering lights. TIPS--Every night Eiffel Tower lights up, BUT the first 5 minutes past each hour, (lasts till 11:05pm) it will ‘Shimmer’. Quite a site! Great Neapolitan Pizza at Verace Bastille around the block. Super fresh Sushi at FujiYaki down the street. Restaurants and cafes everywhere!Have a small umbrella as it rains randomly and often. Highly recommend as we stayed 7 nights - it was perfect. can see the glorious Eiffel Tower (La Tour Eiffel) to the west

This delightful studio apartment in the 11 arrondissement, on the 9th floor, with terrace was sparkling clean. That, plus the easy-to-pull-out sofa-bed, a washing machine, a well-equipped kitchen, the terrace, a potted tree, flower box ... added up to happy home life in Paris for me.To see the glorious Eiffel Tower / La Tour Eiffel (day and night) was magical.The host is a kindhearted lady; staying in her beloved home was one of the highlights. I was in City of Light to see dear friends who live in the 12 arrondissement ... a 20-minute walk from this apartment.The neighborhood is vibrant. Carrefour City supermarket and a fruit store only a few steps from the building. Picard 100 meters away. Restaurants galore. Whenever I heard the loud cheering from the bar across the street, all I had to do was close the terrace door.Hearing the laughter of children during school recess and the bells from Notre-Dame d'Espérance and seeing Sacré Cœur in the far distance brought sereneness.Mille mercis, dear Host! Über den Dächern von Paris

Diese Unterkunft kann ich sehr empfehlen. Die Einrichtung ist äußerst geschmackvoll, sehr kunstvoll mit tollen Bildern und Antiquitäten. Das Klappbett ist sehr bequem, die Küche ist funktionell und das absolute Highlight ist der Balkon mit seiner wunderbaren Aussicht auf Eiffelturm, Notre Dame, Sacre Coeur ect. Der Empfang und die Schlüsselübergabe durch Dominique war sehr freundlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder

Über den Dächern von Paris

Die kleine Unterkunft im Herzen des Quartiers der Bastille bietet alles, was man braucht, um sich ein paar Tage in dieser lebendigen Stadt heimisch zu fühlen. Besonders der Blick vom Balkon legt einem die Stadt zu Füßen. Die Wohnung hat alles erfüllt, was wir uns von ihr versprochen haben.
