Great Stay

We loved our stay! The location was wonderful with nice private access and the condo was spacious and clean. Large kitchen with tons of counter space. Only complaint was washer and dryer on site took so many coins & kitchen supplies - no bake sheets, limited tools. Pool was wonderful and right in the center. We would stay here again

Stewart, you are correct! One of the best things about Sand Cliffs is that you are right on the beach, and the access is not public. This makes it very relaxing to find a perfect spot in the white sand. And on top of that there are amazing views. You are very close to Seacrest and Rosemary. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had very nice week and Benchmark did an excellent job. Our issue was that that beds and sheets need to be improved. The headboard in the main bedroom was not attached to the bed so every time one turned over, the headboard rattled. In addition, the twin beds also made noise when one moved in the beds. Finally, the sheets were low quality.

A very updated and clean unit

The unit was very updated and clean. It's close to the pool and the beach. This is our second stay in this community. It has a great location. Close to Seacrest, Alys and Rosemary Beaches. No public beach access nearby. So it's only the people of the community on the beach.

Head to Rosemary Beach for some exquisite boutique shopping or to Seaside to enjoy a treat at the food trucks. Feeling more adventurous? Hit the Watersound Parkway and head to Destin or Panama City Beach for more shopping or a vast array of restaurant choices! During the day you can relax at the pool, play a little tennis or walk along the paved path to see the beautiful homes along 30A! Or of course there is the beach - the beautiful white sandy beach and the warm and wonderful waters of the Gulf - soak in the sun to your hearts content! Love SandCliffs- rental below exoectations

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at SandCliffs many times over the past 30 years as guests and renters. Last summer we rented and intended to reserve same unit but rent increased 45% in 6 months. We chose another unit. The kitchen and bathrooms are renovated and view always lovely. The technology via router with inadequate power and a tv with no ability for streaming. The twin beds had torn old box springs, pillows with stuffing coming out and no pillow cases. No rugs anywhere - code?? Towel allowance was one per guest per week.. We are disappointed that Benchmark standards leave guests who have paid generously with substandard accommodations. We are supporters of SandCliffs and hope that as owners put their units on rental Benchmark brings the units up to code and the standard on 30 A. We look forward to knowing what changes will be considered for the future as we would like to continue an annual visit, not more frequently.

Too little, Too Late

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of Sandcliffs is on the gulf, with this condo’s living room looking out over the beautiful water. The kitchen looks updated and very open to the living space. The bad news are the bed and bathrooms: the plumbing has a horrible sulphuric smell when you begin to run sink or bath water. It makes the condo smell terrible! One bedroom has twin beds that could have been left since the college years! As I got into bed the first night, it fell to the floor! It may have been the old frame, but it was shocking as the room was dark and I fell off with an ar that was casted and trying to heal! Therefore, i didn’t catch myself from rolling to the floor! I sent immediate pictures and a message to the BENCHMARK. The rental co. Info says to call the emergency #. I did not call the emergency number, as there was another bedroom to sleep in. I still have not been called by BENCHMARK about the message and pictures I sent them! I did connect with the Sandcliffs manage, Randy, who is a very helpful and kind man. I understand from him this unit will be updated soon. A little too late for our time there!

In desperate need of an update

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were not pleased with your service/attitude or the tired condo. The bedding is old and cheap, no pillow protectors, pillows are old and flat. Blankets and super old and do not appear to be clean. Pillow shams appeared to be used as pillows and not clean. Carpet in master bedroom is filthy. Mold/mildew in master bath. Needs an exhaust fan. Bed is not comfortable and headboard is creaky. Hall bath- cannot just fill tub with running water, no way to turn off shower. Twin beds are uncomfortable and has old pillows and bedding. Owners should be notified and ashamed of themselves. Kitchen was not well furnished. As an example there were three tea kettles, no bowls with lids. Nice dishes. Need a Keurig coffee maker and new toaster. Sofa is soiled. Dining room chair cushions from the 90's. Nice flooring and countertops. TV's are old and small. Please pass this along to the owners. Enough reviews like this and they won't be able to rent the place. Teresa

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved this location, property and unit. We have stayed many times on 30A and this was the best beach experience we have ever had. It was not crowded, easy to get to from the condo and easy to transport our own chairs and umbrellas which we kept in our car. The view from our deck was spectacular. The unit looked as it does in the photos. The kitchen is nicely updated and the new flooring and paint nice and updated. The carpet in the bedrooms is really dirty and worn and needs to be updated to go with the rest of the updates. The furniture throughout is old and dated which really makes the condo look old and dated when the bones of it are much nicer. The condo was clean, but mold in the hall bath grout should be cleaned. The master bedroom bed is a disaster. It squeaks if you move your toe! Finally after about 4 nights we figured out to stick a pillow behind the bed to keep the headboard from moving. The pillows are flat and terrible. We had to use 3 pillows taken from each closet. The comforter and bed ruffle are old and dirty. The pillow shams smelled terrible as if they had been used as pillows, so they were not cleaned, which made me uncomfortable that the comforter had also not been cleaned. In COVID times or really any, I want to know the bedding is clean!!!! I found another blanket in the closet that looked super old. The towel situation is crazy, 4 washcloths and 5 towels is not enough for 2 people for a week. We had to get coins and do laundry to have towels which cost $5. The TV situation is a disaster. Get new TVs that are easy to use. I've never been more frustrated trying to get a tv to work and find a channel or to watch a tv where the view is constantly distorted. We had a wonderful trip and enjoyed our stay, but those small irritations can all be fixed to make this unit much more enjoyable! More towels, new clean bedding, new TVs, new carpet. Furniture is lower priority.

Not good

Rating Details: The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Was moved to this location from another because of problems with first. Had problems here with door locks not allwoing entry several times. Had to call management each time. Management said company poicy allowed nothing for the troubles with 2 locations and having to move.

would not stay in this unit again

The sand cliff’s community was very clean, friendly, and quiet. Benchmark management is amazing to work with and I would again. The views and location were Amazing. everything was clean in our room except sand or something gritty in a chair that we did not report . The furniture and carpet is outdated and the unit smells musky. check in was not Easy or fast because when the code was emailed they did not tell me to put a check mark after the code. The beds are uncomfortable. there is no access to Netflix or Hulu . The pans for cooking are are not good because everything sticks. You can’t make pancakes in them so that was a waste of groceries. I have allergies and all my meals have to be cooked at home. the reason I gave this unit a bad review is because of mold in the master bedroom . I slept in there the first night and woke up sick with my esophagus and throat. I did not notice the mold on the ceiling until the next day.I have health issues that mold makes much worse. my husband and I were celebrating our honeymoon but had to sleep in separate twin beds in the guest bedroom. Benchmark management came right away to remove the mold but I did not let them because being in a place where mold is removed is worse during removal and a few days after. They offered to help me but the only thing that would have helped was moving me to a different unit without mold. They could not do that because they said no other units were available at any location. My health would have been worse if I had let them remove it while I was there. We kept that door closed the rest of the week and did not go in. I thought I’d be ok doing that but by the end of the week the mold took it toll. Benchmark management was very nice and sent us a lovely gift basket. they said the owners would only refund 1 night stay (they knew we were leaving a day early anyway). I have never complained at any place I have stayed or left a bad review . I want to add that I vacation in Florida every year and I’ve never had a mold problem. Usually I feel better while in Florida but this time I did not. I consider myself very knowledgeable about mold. it was on the ceiling and it was not a little mildew spot. If you don’t mind uncomfortable beds, mold, musky smell, outdated furniture & technology then this place would be fine for you. I hate to leave a bad review but it just was not a good experience. This Until has a lot of potential but needs a lot of changes.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had the most relaxing week on 30A, and truly enjoyed the Sand Cliffs community. The grounds were beautiful, the beach was very quiet and everyone we encountered was very kind. Our unit was in a very convenient location, and Benchmark does a wonderful job keeping it extremely clean. Despite the wonderful location and cleanliness, the unit left much to be desired. The beds were very uncomfortable, we only had two wash cloths (for four people) for the unit and the technology was very dated. We will definitely return to Sand Cliffs, but will choose a more updated unit.
