"Property was fresh, clean and very warm upon arrival. Excellent central heating. A structural problem with external dampness did mean quite a lot of paint flaked from the bathroom ceiling but this is clearly a difficult issue for the landlord to resolve and it was not a serious problem.
The apartment is very quiet, being located in a courtyard, but there is an adjoining Irish Pub that has live music until the early hours of the morning. The walls are thick and the music was not too intrusive. We were able to sleep comfortably - no traffic noise which is exceptional in Florence!
The apartment is small. It would be ideal for a couple but was perfectly adequate for our family of 3. The kitchen could have a few more utensils, for example no corkscrew or bottle opener and no sharp knives for food preparation (except a bread knife).
Overall an exceptionally well located apartment, 2 minutes to Duomo and maybe 10 minutes to Uffizi and Academia. The apartment is small, simple and warm and met our needs for a week's winter break in Florence at a fair rent. Note, however, the 20 euro cleaning charge."
