Unsere Penthouse-Villa mit drei Schlafzimmern ist „DER“ Ort auf Hilton Head Island. Wir befinden uns in den oberen beiden Etagen (4. und 5. Etage) von Harbourside II und bieten mehr als 2.500 Quadratmeter Wohnfläche! Direkt unter uns in Shelter Cove Marina gibt es wunderbare Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Gourmetrestaurants, Bars mit Live-Musik, den Shannon Tanner Pavilion (bietet im Sommer 2 Shows pro Nacht an), Delfintouren, Kajakfahren, Paddle Boarding, Bootsverleih und sogar einen Piratenschiffausflug für Ihre Kleinen zum Mitmachen. Unsere Villa ist eine der wenigen exklusiven Einheiten mit drei Schlafzimmern auf dem Grundstück, die über einen übergroßen Balkon verfügt, auf dem Sie einen atemberaubenden Sonnenuntergang mit Blick auf Broad Creek und den Intercostal Waterway erleben oder das Hafenfest-Feuerwerk bei Nacht entspannen können! In Geh- und Radentfernung befindet sich das neu erbaute Shelter Cove Town Center, ein einzigartiges Lifestyle-Dorf mit 280000 Quadratmetern Einzelhandels-, Restaurant- und Unterhaltungsfläche, umgeben von natürlichen Annehmlichkeiten und Luxusresidenzen. Genießen Sie eines der vielen Festivals oder bringen Sie Ihre Kinder auf den Spielplatz, hier ist für jeden etwas dabei.

In unserer Villa finden Sie eine voll ausgestattete Küche, 3 Schlafzimmer / 3 Badezimmer mit Flachbildfernseher und DVD-Player, ein Familienzimmer und ein Esszimmer. Schlafzimmer Nr. 1 befindet sich im ersten Stock der Villa (Doppelbett), während das Hauptschlafzimmer (Kingsize-Bett) auf der zweiten Ebene über einen Kamin und einen Whirlpool verfügt. Schlafzimmer Nr. 2, ebenfalls auf der zweiten Ebene der Villa gelegen, verfügt über ein Doppelbett und ein Einzelbett. Ein Aufzug befindet sich in Harbourside II und sorgt für zusätzlichen Komfort. Zu den Annehmlichkeiten zählen ein privater Pool und ein Kinderspielplatz. Der Shannon Tanner Pavillon befindet sich nur wenige Schritte von unserer Villa entfernt!

Hilton Head Strände gelten als einige der spektakulärsten Strände der Welt! Es gibt viele Möglichkeiten, auf unsere Privatstrände zuzugreifen. Der Dune Buggy Shuttle, der vor unserem Gebäude hält, fährt vom 21. März bis 10. September von 8.00 bis 21.00 Uhr. Wenn Sie es vorziehen, können Sie eine schöne zehnminütige Radtour auf einem familienfreundlichen Radweg oder eine fünfminütige Autofahrt mit kostenlosen Parkplätzen für Shelter Cove-Gäste unternehmen. Zu jedem Zugangspunkt zum Strand gehören Außenduschen, öffentliche Toiletten und eine Snackbar / Restaurant.

Spectacular View!

The villa was a wonderful place to vacation. We loved the extra large balcony and the beautiful view of the harbor. The location is close to everything.

Family Vacation

Our family of seven stayed here for five days and we were all extremely happy with the accommodations! The villa is beautiful with every thing you could imagine. I especially enjoyed the kitchen. I brought a few dishes but there was no need. The kitchen was truly well stocked. The view of the fireworks was spectacular! While there we celebrated my husband’s 60th birthday and our oldest son proposed to his girlfriend on the beach! So, needless to say, this was a very memorable vacation.
Family room is beautiful and inviting, very cozy.
Dining area is clean and elegant

Girls weekend

We were 7 girlfriends on “adult spring break” - the unit was beautiful and very well-equipped, with plenty of room to spread out and ample seating. I hope we can make this an annual trip.

Very Disappointed

Property needed a deep cleaning. Many areas had not been looked after for some time and carpets had many stains. We don't mind dated decor but there is no excuse for not being maintained. There was no welcome package or parking passes on our arrival and only got them the next day after contacting property manager. 2 weeks later the same thing - we had to request parking passes and got them 2 days after we should have. garbage disposal broken, screen doors were broken and none were fixed after several requests. dining chairs had loose arms and we were told "not to worry about it." I had to ask four times to get an ironing board cover - not an unreasonable request considering we were staying a month. We have been renting for 14 years and have never had issues as we had with this rental. It's a shame because view is fabulous . Our holiday should not have to be spent chasing an indifferent property manager.

Dear Brenda Thank you so much for writing a review. We always welcome both positive and negative reviews, as this is our only way of evaluating how to better our guest’s stay. First of let me apologize for the lack of responsiveness of our Property Manager. He is usually Johnny on the Spot and has served us well for many years. I wish you had called my husband or myself, as I am certain we could have rectified the parking pass and ironing board issues. In the end I think you did receive both, but I can understand your frustration in not receiving them in a timely manner. Like most stories there are 2 sides. The previous renter broke the garbage disposal on their last day of renting. There wasn't enough time between your arrival to order and replace the disposal. You were informed of this and told not to use it. When the serviceman did show up a few days later, he was turned away by you and told you didn't want to have anyone in the villa during your vacation. I certainly can understand this, but it very irresponsible of you to then write a negative review with only your side of the story being told. As far as the screens on the sliders are concerned, you were also told that they could not be repaired and were taken off. Again it was not an issue of neglect, but rather one of impossibility. Short of replacing 2 over sized sliding glass doors there was nothing that could be done and you knew this too. Once again, 2 sides to every story. Mark and I are at the villa now and yes there was one arm on 1 dining room chair that was a bit wobbly, .not falling off, just a tad wobbly. On the flip side when we entered the villa after your stay, we found a broken picture and when I questioned the cleaning crew I was informed that they found it that way upon your departure. I’m not pointing a finger I’m just saying there are always 2 sides to a story. The picture may have fallen when you closed the door upon your departure. We could have charged you for the broken picture, but I always like to give our renters the benefit of the doubt. As you stated, the view from the balcony and master bedroom is spectacular. I am very sorry that you were inconvenienced during your stay in our home. We try our best to make our renters as confortable as possible and it saddens me when a review such as yours is posted on VRBO. Disappointed

Deck furniture removed for painting purposes never available for our whole stay of a month. No partial refund offered or received. We requested repair of the lock on the patio door as the painters had access to the deck and free access into the condominium, so we felt very insecure. We had to arrange our own parking passes for the last two weeks. We felt we should have been informed about the deck furniture sooner and thus able to find another property to rent. We would not rent there again.

Greetings Myrna and Family Unfortunately, we were unaware of the furniture issue prior to your arrival otherwise we would have informed you and given you the opportunity to rent elsewhere. In life, and in owning a villa we have found that some things are unpredictable and impossible to forecast. This was such a case. Due to inclement weather and low temperatures on HHI the painting and repair of the outside balconies for all of Harbourside II was delayed (time frame for completion: mid-February) and the balcony furniture, which was stored in a POD, was inaccessible. We tried very hard to find a solution for you, which included bringing in our Property Managers own furniture, but you declined everything we offered to you. I know you understand the issues and that we as owners tried everything in our power to get the furniture back onto the balcony while you were there, but the problem was out of our hands. Sadly, there was nothing that could be done to rectify the problem. You and your husband not only aggravated our Property Manager, us and our building Property Management Company by your nasty demeanor, but yourselves as well. As far as the lock is concerned, there were many attempts to contact you to secure a time that was convenient for someone to come over and fix the lock on the slider, to no avail. Our handy man also showed up several times hoping to catch you folks, but never found you home. Because of your lack of communication, the issue was only resolved after your departure. In the future, you should consider staying in a hotel given these unpredictable issues could arise at any other villa you may rent and clearly you are not able to adapt.

Location location location!!!

Our stay in this beautiful villa was only surpassed by the excellent location in Shelter Cove. Minutes to shops, and grocery store. Entertainment right below in a variety of different bars and restaurants although being in the villa you never hear a peep... it's so quiet and spacious. My family and I agreed this was our best vacation and we will return next year for sure. Loved every second ! Million dollar view!

Shelter cove harbour - number 1 on the island

The villa is located in Shelter Cove Marina on Hilton Head Island. The shelter cove harbor is THE place to be: great dining, live music every evening, beaches nearby (Palmetto Dunes) are easy accessible. Bike trails all around. The villa is located on the 4th floor with a stunning overview of the harbor. Fully equipped kitchen, clean facilities, jacuzzi. What more can you get?? We had a perfect stay!

Excellent location and views!

My dad, brothers and I stayed here for a long golf weekend in August. The place is fantastic. We had gated parking and lots to do within walking distance. Great golf right across the street. Would highly recommend and will definitely be staying here again.

Harbourside II Penthouse

We stayed at the Harbourside II Penthouse for three nights. The view is the saving grace for this property, probably one of the best in the area. Having said that, the unit is very dated (we knew this when we rented based on the pictures), and was also in need of a deep clean. I contacted the owners (Mary Beth) who was more than accommodating and tried to do everything she could to help our stay. It does need to be noted that she does not live in the area, and is relying on a property manager to oversee and fix any issues. A cleaning crew did get sent over on day 2 of our stay to touch up some problem areas, but I feel a deeper clean and basic maintenance issues (several burned out light bulbs...we ended up digging around and replaced the ones we needed) should be addressed and should have been fixed before we arrived. Mary Beth did contact the property manager and again, I felt as though she did everything she could to help from afar. I didn't want to waste my entire time worrying about the issues, so we didn't contact the owner again. Based on our conversations, I'm sure she would have fixed the problems, but we wanted to enjoy our time on the Island and not spend our days in the house.

Hi Kari and thank you for your review of our home. I'm so happy that I was able to help you with the few small areas in the villa you had problems with such as light bulb replacement (we have no control over when a light bulb may burn out, so that is why we leave lots of extras for our guests, just in case! We really don't want you to be in the dark!). The cleaning crew does an amazing job for us and as you witnessed they are more than willing to accommodate our guests. My family and myself were actually in the villa right after you left and I was really worried about the cleanliness but was very happy to find everything just as I would have expected... immaculate. As for the condo being dated, our pictures as you state, are representative of what the villa looks like. With that being said, all of the TV's are brand new, along with the matresses, washer, dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator microwave and stove. We also replace pots and pans annually. Yes we are not local. In fact, 90% of the property owners on HHI are not local and rely on a property manager to oversee their units. We happen to have a super person whom I trust implicitly and as you stated was "Johnny on the Spot" when called upon. I am so happy though that you enjoyed the spectacular view from our oversized balcony. It is so relaxing to watch the boats come in and out of the marina and I daresay we have the best sunset and fireworks show on the island! The villa was very comfortable. Everything my family and I needed was provided. The area had alot shopping and activities. The only inconvenience was having to walk next door to our pool access for the kids but other than that everything was perfect. We will defiantly like to stay again.

This is a long overdue review of this wonderful property. We had the opportunity to stay at this property for 2 weeks in August of 2016 with our 2 adult children and their husbands. The pictures on VRBO do not do this villa justice in terms of it's size. The 2 bedrooms and oversized master bedroom each have attached full sized bathrooms. This was such a plus for us because it allowed each couple to have privacy and their own space. TV's in each room a plus. Drinks on the balcony each night while enjoying the amazing view was great. This condo is so convenient to shopping and restaurants. One day we rented a pontoon boat right out of Shelter Cove and enjoyed a top 10 day. We most certainly will be back next year. Loved everything about the condo.

December stay at Shelter Cove

The location was wonderful - walking distance to restaurants, shops and grocery stores. The condo is quite spacious and comfortable. However, as mentioned in previous reviews, it could use some updating. Carpet stains, peeling paint etc. make it feel a little run down. My husband seemed to be allergic to something on the first floor, which we never figured out - (possibly a cleaning fluid or something in the upholstery?) Nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay.

As you said, the location is wonderful (so close to everything) and the villa is so spacious and airy you never feel like you are on top of one another even when you have a full house! I'm so sorry your husband was allergic to something on the first floor. Prior to your arrival we underwent a deep clean (I'm a clean freak) so that perplexes me and as you said maybe he was allergic to a cleaning reagent that was used. We'll look into the peeling paint (?) and have that corrected immediately. The carpets are routinely cleaned. Very spacious and comfortable!

We were very pleased with the property. It's hard to find a condo with 3 bedrooms that has each his/her on bathroom, but this one does. It is very spacious and decorated lovely. It is a little dated but very comfortable. The balcony faces the harbor which is beautiful! It's close to restaurants, shopping and beach access is across the street. We would highly recommended this unit and would most likely rent it again if we decided to venture back to Hilton Head Island. If you decide to rent this condo, I would suggest taking your own washing machine detergent, as they request you start a load of towels before leaving.

Large, comfortable villa with exceptional views!

We stayed in this villa for New Year's Eve weekend and it worked really well for us. We are two "mature" couples who travel together pretty frequently and have rented extensively with VRBO. This villa lived up to expectations and in some cases exceeded. We loved the location in Shelter Cove and really enjoyed the beautiful views from the balcony. Sadly we experienced a good bit of rain during our stay so we weren't really able to get in as much "balcony time" as we would have liked, especially with the unseasonably warm weather! We particularly liked the bistro height table and chairs that allowed for great views of the harbor. There are a couple of things that the discription did not mention that we thought were great plusses! There is a Jennaire range on the balcony that worked perfectly! We cleaned it up and used it to cook some chicken wings in a pan! If we had had more time there, we likely would have used it to cook steaks or something else. We LOVE to grill and didn't think we would have a chance to do so. Another added bonus is that this villa has a BEAUTIFUL wet bar! We are always delighted to find a wet bar so that there is a place to put our liquor and wine and to mix drinks. I had asked the property owner if there was a martini shaker available, and she made sure there was (a brand new) one available. I greatly appreciated that nice touch! The only reason I am not giving this property five stars is because there are some maintenace and housekeeping issues. I shared these with the property owner and I feel like she will take care of them. This villa is older, so it has some wear, but it is a great value in a wonderful location. I would definitely rent this one again!

Gorgeous property with stunning view!

We enjoyed our stay during Thanksgiving at this beautiful condo. The common areas are spacious and the view is stunning. The bedrooms give plenty of room to have your own space. There is some minor wear and tear, but this did not detract from the overall beauty. It was great to be able to walk downstairs for dinner and drinks. The condo is advertised as wheelchair accessible but the threshold made it was difficult entering/exiting the condo. The downstairs bedroom has double doors which made it easy to enter in a wheelchair; however, it was difficult getting into the adjacent bathroom and there were no grip bars in the downstairs bathroom. It would also be nice to have a small ramp at one of the doors going out to the balcony. The rugs on top of the plus carpet also made movement in a wheelchair difficult. Overall it was a great stay and Mary Beth and Michael were easy to work with. Despite the wheelchair accessibility issue, we wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Home Away from Home

We had the luxury of staying for two weeks this year! The first week included our children and grandchildren but the second week was for us and 2 other couples who are dear friends of ours...we had a wonderful time. We have stayed here many times in the past and have always had a wonderful time. It was a good location and setting for all!

Excellent Stay

Just returned from a great trip, had the condo for 5 nights and it was perfect for our six person party. Great location with walking distance to lots of good restaurants and shops as well as nice beach access and a good central island location! Highly recommend this for any type of group traveling, we will be back!

Welcome to our villa and thank-you for taking the time to read about us! We are the McCarthy's. As a family we have been vacationing on Hilton Head Island for the last 20 years and in 2002 we made the leap, we bought a villa!! To say that it was one of the best things we ever did is an understatement. This is our home away from home and you'll know that the moment you enter the front door. One of our most favorite things to do is to grab a cup of coffee first thing in the morning, relax on the balcony while we take in the comings and goings of the boaters and kayakers in the marina or out on Broad Creek. In the evening, the same holds true with a glass of wine and a spectacular sunset! The view is one in a million. Need we say any more?

When we first vacationed on HHI we rented on the beach..always! However, when we started looking for property our realtor suggested that we look at waterfront marina property. At first we were hesitant but the moment we walked into our villa we knew we were going to buy it. The view was/is a show stopper! What we didn't know was how convenient to everything it was. Walk out the door and you have a choice of wonderful restaurants and bars. The grocery store is easily accessable by bike if you wish to get in some exercise. Boat and kayak rentals are all located within the marina as well. The beach? We have access to 2 spectacular beaches, Dunes Beach House and Disney both of which are within biking distance or what we do is load up the car and drive there (roughly 2 minutes!). Never once have we regretted not buying on the beach!

If you have little ones and have vacationed on HHI before you've probably seen Shannon Tanner. He plays nightly during the summer months right below our villa. While you can't actually see the show from our balcony, you can see the top of the pavillion he plays in! So we are very close.
