Artisanal, boho-chic farmhouse with spectacular views of the Pyrenees and pool

Maison Chérie is an artisanal, boho-chic farmhouse, offering its visitors the chance to recharge in this little corner of paradise. With spectacular views of the Pyrenees, open fires, a spacious farmhouse kitchen and a property bursting with handmade furniture and artworks, Maison Chérie is perfect for those who need a relaxing rustic getaway, surrounded by forests and fields. From May to October you have exclusive use of the outdoor swimming pool (not heated).

It has 6 bedrooms with a total of 12 beds and 3 bathrooms offering sleeping space for 12-15 people. The property is part of a working farm which is home to an international, intergenerational co-living project. Maison Chérie is, however, set up in such a way that our guests have the privacy and peace that they need.

Our estate offers unique stays with our table d’hôtes with a chef at your disposal, garden-fresh meals, open-fire cooking, and culinary workshops for a stay full of discoveries and memorable shared moments.

The nearest supermarket is in Limoux, which is a charming market town about 15 minutes away by car. There is plenty to explore in the area, including the historic city of Carcassonne, the Abbaye de St. Hilaire and many buildings from the Cathar dynasty. For outdoor swimming, the lac de Montbel is a short car journey away and stunning sandy beaches at Gruissan and Narbonne are just over an hour away by car.

From the property itself, there are many public foot and cycle paths, making it an attraction location for outdoor pursuits. Please note we are unfortunately not able to accommodate pets.

A bit of background information:
The property is located on a farm with some agricultural activity (sheep, vegetable permaculture garden, fields, forest). We are bio-certified.

You will have an entire house that stretches over 3 stories as well as a separate outdoor area for yourself .
There are 6 rooms with the following configuration (bed, kitchen linen and towels included);

Room 1:
Double bed (180cm), single bed (90cm), baby bed

Room 2:
Bed (140cm)

Room 3:
2 single beds (2 x 90cm)

Room 4:
Double bed (160cm), single bed (90cm), baby bed

Room 5:
Bed (140cm)

Room 6:
Dormitory with 4 single beds (4 x 90cm)

Toilets and bathrooms are separated. There are 3 toilets and 3 bathrooms (showers only).

Big living room and kitchen with extendable table.
Separate laundry room with washing machine, iron and ironing board.

Baby beds will be added to the rooms if requested before your arrival. There is also a baby bathtub, a high chair and a potty.

There is a private outdoor area with a terrasse, tables, chairs, sunchairs and a BBQ.
Our big and beautiful swimming pool is a little walk (150m) away from the house.
Swimming pool dimensions: 15m x 5m and 1.50m - 1.80m depth.
The pool area is not secured but there are lockable gates (parents are responsible for the safety of their children).

There is no AC but it is an old building with thick walls.
