Positives: Host was responsive, check in easy. Lovely quiet location, parking on street was OK (although never outside, but short walk away), pool was maintained and clean, cliff views with roaming goats, lounge area was nice and big dining table, lots of kitchen utensils etc. Bedding was clean and lots of towels inc pool towels.Negatives: Villa needs tlc, its like nothing has been done since the 90s. Fridge wasn't clean, no shelves in it either (only one lower one), woodchip wallpaper everywhere, pool has a lot of missing tiles, there was what (appeared to be) faeces on the shower tiles in the on-suite, which we cleaned off, glass shower screen was dirty, floor was dirty, sunbed liners don't look very clean, some lights do not work and others flicker, sliding doors can be a pain to lock or not at all, cooking spatula was melted and needs replacing. Also note that the villa is located next to a local viewpoint so constant visitors outside, some can be loud. Overall, this villa has the potential to be outstanding, but it looks like it has been purchased and put straight out for rental with no investment in it. That is probably reflected in the price you pay. If you are willing to accept its current flaws, and it was cleaned properly I would recommend it if the price is right.
